I think ******* is dead

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
All season I have been waiting on leads as to what happened to Christa. Today, I replayed all 3 episodes out of boredom and when Christa runs into the woods you can hear two effects that sound as though someone was struck, she screams, and two shots are set off. I really hope she isn't dead but I believe TT is pulling a Kenny situation where the death audio is set, but the developers are unsure as to what to do with the character.

  • nah ,,, TTG are planning to save luke/kenny and christa with clem at the final (and ofcourse rebeccas baby) ,,,, if u know what i mean (kenny chris clem)
  • Well, it could be Christa shooting them, not them shooting Christa.

I don't know, Christa seemed pretty suicidal to me. I think she wanted to go to Wellington to find Clem somewhere safe and then end it.

But, if she's still alive I don't think she would kill herself until she knows what happened to Clem.

Just a brain fart of mine.
  • lol. She points her finger at them "bang, bang".

  • I think that too.. Very likely to be true, but I hope not.
  • She could have had a gun. Don't think she's that fucking stupid.

  • Nah, that's way too anticlimactic. I wouldn't be surprised if Christa died at some point in the game but not like that.

I'd bet anything that she escaped her situation and made her way up to Wellington. She probably is hoping that Clementine will find her way there too if she's still alive.

Speaking of which, I REALLY hope next episode has Clem insisting on them going to Wellington. The game may have forgotten about Christa for the time being but I haven't. As far as I'm concerned, number one priority for Clem is to go to Wellington and hopefully reunite with Christa. I will drag this damn group along by the ear if I have to! On that note, I hope there's a scene where Clementine pretty much says that she's going to Wellington whether the group wants to come with her or not. No more stalling. I'm sick of them dragging her to other places when she should be going north in hopes that Christa is there.
  • I know, she could have grabbed one of their guns, or had a gun on her, but when I read what you wrote, an image of Christa pointing her fingers and saying "bang, bang" just popped into my head.

I thought it was kinda funny, maybe not.

  • She could pull a Kenny, and somehow survive :'D
  • oh. oh.. now I feel like an asshole. sorry. D:

TT doesn't kill characters off screen, at least in my experience. Even if she is alive Clem may still never see her again.
  • Finding Christa is #3 on my Clem's list of priorities, right after "stay alive" and "don't be evil."
  • They probably shot at zombies. Christa is alive for sure.
  • My theory is that she was taken by the bandits, who turn out to be Eddie's group in Amid the Ruins. Now if there's a cultish theme in that episode, I'd expect much of the drama to centre around Christa being either brainwashed and out to do the same to Clementine or to free her altogether. (Also, I think Jane is going to reveal a much more darker side.)
  • Did you just say the Z word?!?!? They are Walkers, not these blasted "zombies" you talk about

  • If omid's death left her suicidal, then how on earth would she have lasted 16 months while protecting clem from any danger?

Lee said in season 1 EP 1 Duck is not great around zombies... ZOMBIES they know what they are but they still call them Walkers, Lurkers, Greeks and more but not zombies except Lee

Because it's one thing to kill yourself, it's another thing to kill yourself and the little girl you're supposed to protect.

But like I said, it's just a brainfart, no real evidence to back it up.

The only real hint is when Christa says: "You need to learn how to do this stuff for yourself, Clementine, in case..."
And the look she has on her face when she says it.

  • Either we see her in Wellington or she's dead.
  • I have a hunch we'll see Christa again, or at least get some kind of closure with her. Not sure what that would be, though. Maybe Clem saying "Christa is gone and I've never going to see her again. I need to move on, and if she is alive, she will too." I dunno.

I just REALLY hope that they don't end the season with everyone dying except Clem, then she randomly stumbles upon Christa in the last scene. Too cheesy and too much of a cop-out.
