Happy Ending?

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
A bit early to think of how TWDG will end.... But do you think its possible to get a ~relatively~ happy ending in TWD? What do you take 'happy' to mean? How do you imagine the series to end?

I suppose the most you could wish for is Clem to be safe and be able to live out her life without it being cut short. But the ZA won't ever go away, her loved ones/friends will all die at some stage (sooner rather than later), she'll never have peace or security in a world with little control and order. Safety will always be something very relative, rather than concrete. More often than not she'll be alone. How could anyone be able to be happy after a lifetime of such experiences?

  • I don't think there will be a happy ending. I think they will get to wellington to find out that everyone who got there dies from the cold/ starvation because there is lke...no plants.

so I think they will get to wellington in episode 5. and then season 3 will be about them going some place else.

I imagine that we'll be getting a bittersweet ending of sorts. A full-blown downer ending would probably make Clementine's entire journey feel meaningless.

If I had to make a guess, I think that Clementine will lose her friends once again, but will finally find sanctuary in Wellington and make the best of her living in the community.
  • Nope. A happy ending in The Walking Dead universe is just a joke, a myth.
  • The thing is, there are no endings in TWD universe. Both the comic and the show are still going strong, so there's really no telling where the game will end up.

  • Haven't TTG planned for it be 3 seasons? They might change that since the game is doing wonders for them, but I have a feeling they won't go past that since they have new projects they would want to be putting more emphasis on in the future.

  • True.

  • I listened to the select music from episode 5,and that's not the kind of music you put on a "happy ending".
  • The only way I see a so called happy ending if you can call it that, is them finding a massive Underground place like area 51 where there is enough food and supplies to last a few years. I just picture them finding something along those lines and you see the screen fade as they walk towards it, or something like that.
  • I think it will be Like a TLOU ending Happy and sad.
  • Well, they wouldn't be working on TWDG for another year if there will be another season...

Telltale signed a "multi-year, multi-platform, multi-title" deal with Robert Kirkman so there could be more seasons after this one, If they are going to make more there will break while they release Borderlands and Game Of Thrones.

  • Life itself has no happy endings too. Happy ending for Season Two could be great. Clementine is the only one who deserves a happy ending.
  • I don't think they'll be a happy ending. Its The Walking Dead we're talking about after all, so I'll be content just as long as Clementine survives.
  • A happy ending for me is where Clem isn't dead and isn't an emotional wreck, everything else doesn't matter.
  • I hope it's at least a semi-happy ending, if only because it would come as more of a surprise. When you expect all these tragic deaths to happen, the tragedy of those deaths kind of gets thrown out the window. There's no way it would strike the same chord in me that Lee's death did unless Clementine were to die. And I REALLY don't think Telltale will do that.
  • Idk probably not, but I would like a lot if we in the end of the season we could see Lee looking in the top of a mountain saying: I'm coming for you Clem.
And then we have to wait for the other season... but this is impossible... Lee we miss you !
But if Clem dies, we will probably play with the baby (already a bit growed)
  • Man, I have a sick mind, every time I see this thread I keep thinking massage parlour's. Feel free to dislike, I won't hold it against anyone :P
