Am I confused or... Ep 3 spoilers

How did Carver find out about the radio? I mean yeah he caught Luke but Clem never had a chance to get him a walkie talkie. It made me suspect that Bonnie had once again sold them out. But if she didn't (her actions otherwise say she wouldn't) then who sold them out? The only other option I could think of was Luke, or maybe even Sarah. Also what was Carver talking with Sarah about on the roof right after Reggie was pushed and he ordered Clem back to work with Bonnie? It feels like the story is incomplete, Like there were scenes that were cut out or something. Maybe I just didn't pay enough attention but lots of things stuck out as a "huh??" moment to me though I still loved the shit out of this episode.

  • They could've easily just went to get a radio and saw that they were short on some that they know they had and put back the day before but can you explain that a little more can't tell if I get your point or not
  • Equipment like that should always be accounted for. Carver's camp probably knew that two walkie-talkies were missing and when Carver found the one on Luke he assumed that the group had the other and were planning something.
  • tavia tell carver that she lost some radio?
  • Once again... magic!
  • They probably count the radios, and Tavia let him know that there were radios missing.

I'm assuming you're asking how he knew the group must have one.
  • Clem brought two back and we saw Kenny slip one inside her pocket to give to Luke. I thought they hid the one meant to be theirs somewhere in the yard... Carver probably expected them to be up to something when he found Luke + Tavia might have reported two missing, so he must have put two and two together and found their one wherever they hid it.

That might be the real story behind it, but that's my speculation.
  • I always imagined his talk with Sarah to be something along the likes of what he told Clem, about how the camp could only accommodate for people strong in will + that she needed to toughen up, unless she wanted to meet a fate like Reggie's.

Luke didn't have one yet. and yes everything should be accounted for when things are so limited in the ZA but it was only a few hours they were missing. It just seems like a big leap to say you must've escaped your prison got the two radios and then snuck back to bed and went to work the next day. It's not impossible and maybe he was just playing the game to see if they would incriminate themselves (Carver was smart...ish) but it all felt like a reach....Unless he was told by someone on the inside (Luke, Bonnie, Carlos, Sarah) I don't count Mike and Jane as they were the ones hell bent on getting the fuck out. IDK maybe I'm just overthinking it i suppose.

  • Ah, that would be a great plot twist if Sarah, as with Ben before her, had unwittingly set in motion a snowball effect of tragedy by cooperating with the enemy. I like that idea.
