Is there any point to the dislike button?
I know this isn't really about TWD, but I guess it's about the forums.
I don't know about you guys, but I find it an extreme downer when I get a dislike on one of my comments. I know I'm being really bad at being resilient, but why is there a dislike button anyways? If anyone says something someone else doesn't like or doesn't agree with, it's disliked.
A better alternative could be just give them no thumbs up! If you really want to know what they said wrongly, then reply to their comment!
I dunno, this may have sounded better in my head. :3 Either way, what do you guys think? Is the dislike button a good idea? Or are you just going to disagree with me and dislike my discussion? :P

eh not really. if you disagree with someone says just dislike it and move in.
If people don't like what your saying just ignore it :)
But maybe that's just me.
Design their posts, make it in such a way to optimise likes, I don't really know how else to describe it. Basically all i'm saying is that some people care about likes more then they care about their own opinions and they make their posts to attract likes instead of saying what they believe.
Like for instance a - I dislike your post and I would explain why, but I'm on my way to a meeting with my boss. Maybe I'll come back to your post later on the day. Say around 4:30? - button, or a - I dislike your post with a passion, I'm so mad right now I can't even type - button, or a - Your username makes me upset because it contradicts my religious beliefs - button, or a - What does this button do? - button
I am the same though, if I know that I've spelt (grammar) something wrong I correct it, unless I don't know how to properly spell it.
Really, don't take it personally. Most of us don't know each other from a hole in the wall, so we couldn't really say anything about you as a person anyway. All we can do is agree or disagree with one of your posts.
So don't get bummed out when it happens to you. It doesn't mean someone hates you. It just means that someone disagrees with that particular post. And that's the whole point of discussion anyway, to share different and sometimes conflicting ideas. You're won't agree with everyone, and not everyone will agree with you, but that's what makes it fun.
When i'm typing I use my own common language, besides dunno is lazy and Australians are some of the laziest speakers in the world :)
Btw, just being a smart arse :P
