Telltale Forums Season Three - By HarjKS

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
As we wait for the next episodes of TWD or TWAU or even both. I decided to make this. I will write episodes (not like a script or anything) and people can make decisions based on what they learn. I hope you guys enjoy this.

For this, it is presumed that the only survivors are Clementine, Kenny, Mike, Rebecca, Nick, Luke and Sarah. Rebecca's child died, however they made it to Wellington (a community based in a high school) and found Christa who reunited with Kenny and Clementine. The story ends on a bitter-sweet tone as the group reflects on what happened in the past and the losses they had to face. The community at Wellington didn't have a leader and were a group of people working together, and thus Luke was proposed to be a leader. So with a new community being built with electricity, weapon crafting, food, water and gardens the group hope they can make the community a better place with their new chance.

THE WALKING DEAD SEASON THREE

Episode One: A Humble Beggining

Clem, and the other survivors from Season Two have been at the Wellington community for two months. Throughout the episode Clementine meets two newcomers (Mark and Tony). Both of them reminding her and Kenny of numerous things from the past (Mark shares the same name as Mark from Season One, and Mark and Tony are a homosexual couple reminding both Clementine and Kenny of Matthew and Walter). Mark and Tony despite typical homosexual stereotypes are actually very masculine and help with farming work (Due to the death of their farmer last week named Alex) as well as tend to have a liking to Clementine.

Throughout the episode not much is done but idle tasks as the episode just sees Clementine throughout the day. In the morning she speaks to Luke, Nick and Rebecca about how they think the community is going (alongside both Jeniffer and Bob - Jeniffer is a doctor whilst Bob is a mechanic. They also see Sam who handles their weapons and also meet Ian who is a chef. There are a few more people to the community but they are mostly idle guards, such as Christa and Kenny. Other people are at the community but are not neccesarily highlighted- Sarah and Clementine mostly help do idle tasks such as delivering supplies, however Luke has permitted Clementine go on scavenging runs with Mike and Nick who work as scavengers from the groups on several occasions).

After breakfast Clementine runs into Kenny who has trimmed his beard somewhat so there are less grey hairs around the outskirts. He speaks to Clementine and asks her how she's doing, at this point the response to Kenny about the community (whether peaceful, somewhat angry due to only allowed to do idle tasks, saddened by the events of Season Two or silence which Kenny takes as to not enjoying the community) will be remembered by him. Kenny then tries to cheer Clementine up by letting Clementine go to Sarah near the gates to help clear out some walkers around the chain fence around the school. Sarah has somewhat stabiliszed after her fathers death and become somewhat tougher as a result but is still vulnerable in that she isn't strong enough to deal with packs of walkers, her anxiety tends to crop up sometimes however not as bad as it was throughout the second season and her accuracy depends on the advice Clementine gave her in Season Two. Sarah either berates or likes Clementine based on the way Clementine treated her in Season Two. If she berates Clementine she tells Clementine to go away and leave her alone however if she likes Clementine she will greet Clementine and strike up a conversation.

Eventually Clementine goes around to the school gardens and speaks to Mark and Tony who are both farming. They tell Clementine they like the community and think the people that live in Wellington are nice. Clementine can ask them multiple things including their relationship and even about their strength though Tony assures Clementine that Mark is stronger than him. Clementine asks if they need help but they deny it and tell Clementine that perhaps someone inside needs help.

At this point a hub area opens in which Clementine can do two tasks which could range from a choice of helping Jenniffer disinfect some medical equipment using alchohol (Clementine will see some Hydrogen Peroxide on the desk which Jennifer says she's saving in case someone gets hurt, the Hydrogen Peroxide reminds her of disinfecting her dog bite wound in Season One). Jennifer will talk about her past and never imagined that she'd be disinfecting medical equipment with alcohol she also alludes to someone she cared about (It's implied it was a boyfriend) however she quickly changes the topic and Clementine can speak to her about multiple things including her opinions on Rebecca, Nick, Mike, or Mark/Tony. With Rebecca she says they are friends and talk to each other a lot, with Nick she gets somewhat aroused and thinks Nick is 'kinda cute' before stopping herself. With Mike she feels that he's a good guard but sometimes a bit rude and with Mark/Tony she says she doesn't really know what to feel at the moment but she thinks 'they're alright'.

With Bob, Clementine can help him find a missing wrench in the schools workshop that he was using. Once found, Bob appreciates and gets back to making a device of some sort. Clementine can speak to him about what the device is, the traps he's been making, the community and opinions of people. If asked he reveals the device is going to be part of a trip-wire that trips Walkers so they fell and get stuck on nearby spikes. With traps he says he wish he could make a mine rather than boring traps such as trip-wires or bear-traps. With the community he says that he feels the community is great ever since he got the power generator working, with the wind-turbine nearby and with opinions of people he says he was surprised Mark and Tony could pull their own weight, however he hopes they can get more food than peaches and beans and jokes about Ian's cooking he also just thinks the other people are alright.

With Sam, Clementine helps check on some of the guns they use and Sam also gives Clementine a holster (If Sam is not chosen for one of the two tasks the holster will never be seen on Clementine.) and lets Clementine know she can now carry her gun around the community all the time. Clementine can either thank Sam or disaprove of it (yet still keep it anyway) and ask Sam about himself. Sam can talk about his back-story (He is a young teenager a similair age to Ben yet is the most knowlegable about guns) and talks about going to school. He can also talk about the weapons other people use (Rebecca still uses Carvers revolver, Sarah uses a common pistol, Nick uses a rifle, Luke commonly uses a machete and if so a gun, Kenny uses a shotgun, whilst the other characters just use pistols except for Mark and Tony since Sam doesn't know what guns they use or have used).

With Ian, Clementine can help cook dinner by handing Ian ingredients from his desk when he asks (normally mid-conversation) Ian is the oldest member of the group and is an elder who used to be a war veteran. He still has some type of army medal on his shirt. Clementine can talk to him about what's for dinner (and mentions Bob dislikes peaches and beans if she helped Bob), mentions the community (to which he says he likes as he appreciates the income of food supplies from Mike and Nick and he likes Luke as a leader.) He also can be asked for his back story and reveals after the war he became a prime-time chef at a four-star resturant, he was hoping they would get five-stars but then the apocalypse happened he mentions someone close to him but doesn't speak much about them leaving them completley ambgious. He said afterwards he travelled, depressed, until he met a woman who shared his depression. Together they survived for a while and as they went to Wellington they were seperated due to a herd at a hardware store and thus he managed to escape and get to Wellington he still feels guilty like it's his fault (Clementine can agree it's his fault or say no ).

Between these tasks, Clementine can speak to Nick, Mike, Rebecca, Kenny, Luke and Christa about numerous things concerning the past, interactions with them, the community and specific events overall (Such as when Kenny saved Ben/Christa, when Luke saved Clementine, if Nick and Clementine were trapped in the shed or when Nick shot Matthew, when they met Mike, Rebecca losing her baby and even Christa speaking about the time she almost died either when Clementine distracted the scavengers, for which she thanks Clementine or if Clementine ran away to which she reveals she was worried whether Clementine would be safe - Either way she says she spent the rest of her time looking for Clementine and went to Wellington hoping that she would make it there and was thankful when she arrived with the group).

After the two tasks are complete everyone comes in for dinner, (if Clementine has the holster there is a scene where Kenny says it looks nice, as does Nick and Mike). They eat and speak with one another on multiple topics and Luke discusses plans to fortify fences which Kenny agrees with, whilst Christa and Rebecca both worry about their water supply. Luke assures them he'd get Nick and Mike to get the supplies first thing in the morning. (If Clementine did not help Ian, Ian asks to know more about Clementines back story and Ian later explains his about his depression, meeting the woman and being overrun by a herd at Carvers community. At this point Clementine, can tell Ian whether it's his fault or not.)

However things get somewhat tense between Bob and Ian when Bob mentions they need more food supplies which Ian takes as an insult, whilst Bob assures him is not. They get into a debacle as the others try to calm them down (Clementine can either agree with Bob or Ian, stay silent or tell them to calm down). Jennifer tries shouting to get the groups attention, and with a shout she gets their attention as they look at her with a tense silent and asks them where Sarah, Mark, Tony and Sam are. They are gunshots and outside screaming. The group rush outside to see Sam shooting at a few walkers grabbing Sarah through the fence with a few walkers grabbing Mark through the fence on the other side.

The group are too busy focused on a large group of walkers toppling over part of the fence to focus on Sarah and Mark and only Clementine and Sam sees them. Sam gives Clementine a gun (If Clementine has a holster she takes out the gun herself). Sarah asks Clementine to help her whilst Mark (being pulled by Tony) tells Clementine to help Sarah (Tony asks Clementine to help Mark) whilst Sam tells Clementine to stay away from the fences and help shoot the walkers.

There are three decisions here, either Clementine helps Sarah, helps Mark or helps Sam shoot at the walkers. Once a decision is made the camera zooms in on Clementine looking around as everyone screams and shouts and it cuts to black and the episode ends.

Other decisions here.

What did you tell Kenny? strawpoll.me/1740004
Who do you help? Jennifer, Bob, Ian or Sam. (You can only help two). strawpoll.me/1740019
Did you tell Ian it was his fault for his past actions? strawpoll.me/1740032
Did you side with Bob, Ian or stay neutral? strawpoll.me/1740035

Also explain WHY you made these decisions in the comments. If this is popular enough then I'll write Episode 2 from the perspective of the most popular decisions.

Thank you for reading :D

  • Guys not to sound too pushy or anything but can people comment about some of the decisions and what they thought. I want to know if I'm doing something wrong and what can be improved. I would also like to know if anyone enjoys this whether choices should be more difficult or whatnot. I'd also like to know what your choices were and why you did those choices.

    Please & Thank you :)

  • It was a peaceful episode, which made it overall pretty uneventful, particularly in this summarised writing style. This style meant that it was impossible to connect with any of the new characters much as well. The final choice was very easy, besides Sarah being the one Clem would pick in a heartbeat anyway, as there's no connection to Mark it makes it even easier.

Told Kenny it was peaceful. It's the truth after all. No use complaining when they seem to have it so good.

I helped Ian and Sam though I didn't remember much about them. I didn't want to help Jennifer because she's setting herself up for a fall if she thinks Nick would be interested in her rather than Luke. I feel like I knew slightly less about Bob.

Didn't tell Ian it was his fault. That'd be mean.

Stayed neutral, since I didn't feel particularly biased towards either of them.

  • Thank you I'll try and establish better connections with the characters and decisions will get harder as things progress. But thank you again.
