No problem. If you talk Kenny down on the train he will admit that he thinks Duck being bitten is his punishment for not saving Shawn. How much it counts, I can't say for sure, but based on other playthroughs I've seen it's always better to talk him down, if you're going for the bro-speech.
Kenny lol stubborn as mule !
I like him ssooooo much, btw he is not idiot at all, he's reallly protective, with a BIG BIG heart ! So yeah he's piss off when u save ben but imagine yourself in his shoes, ben is the one who killed (ok indirectly but i don't give a s***) his family so I dunnow he has good reasons to hates you for saving his life whatever you sided with him before, in this moment, he is just in pain !
Think with your "heart" not with ur brain if you see what I mean !
Thanks I'll do that then. I just love the scar Lee gets from the fight. It makes Lee look like he's been through more. But if I talk him down, do you think if I save Ben it would be okay?

There are a few other options to side with Kenny once you get to Savannah. One is after the Stranger appears when Lee is burying Fivel, Kenny will want to go look immediately for a boat, agree with him, it won't effect anyone else badly. Another is in Crawford when Ben confesses to trading with the bandits, agree to let Kenny kick his ass. Kenny won't, Lee essentially tells him he agrees that he should kick his ass but now is not the time. Kenny will listen to Lee. Those should help so you are still able to get the bro-speech if you save Ben.

I definitely told Kenny that he can 'whoop his skinny little ass later' so I'm covered there but I did say that we should take a break. Overall I might replay episode 4.

That's the one. I don't know if this matters, but once Lee and Kenny get to the docks. I just kept silent about the boats being screwed (both dialogue options). Figured it was better if he figured it out on his own, since both dialogue options seemed like they would only be making it worse.

My thinking too! Also if you're playing on PC a save file corruption can occur between episodes 3 and 4. I'm not sure if it happens on the consoles, but it changes your choices made from episode 3. Happened to me on my first playthrough, and a few of the things I chose didn't carry over properly into episode 4. Basically screwing up my game.

Alright, just got through the end of episode 4 on my latest play through. I saved Duck back at Hershel's farm, defended Duck at the pharmacy, gave his family food at the motor inn, helped him kill Larry in the meat locker, shot Beatrice, talked him down on the train, shot Duck myself, killed the boy in the attic myself, abstained from voting about leaving Ben behind, and saved Ben at the bell tower. Kenny ended up giving me the bro speech at the end of episode 4.
Basically I made all of the decisions that you did, other than fighting Kenny on the train, and I abstained from voting on Ben's fate, where as you agreed with Kenny to leave him behind. My brother on the other hand made literally every single decision that you did. Kenny still gave him the bro speech.
A number of things that can count against you that you won't even expect will count against you.
1)The infamous "reason with him" = siding with larry in the statistics glitch. (even if in episode 1 kenny verbally thanks, in the binaries of the game it might count as a -1 friendship)
2)The other infamous killing/not killing larry makes a huge huge difference to Kenny
3)Shooting the boy in the attic is actually NOT helping kenny. But rather babysitting him somewhat. Convincing Kenny to kill the boy is the way to go.(edit: Except maybe if you had Kenny kill duck, in that case maybe you killing the boy in the attic is better, I am quite unsure)
Sure, Helping and/or Not Helping Ben adds to the statistics. But you don't have to agree with kenny on EVERYTHING. Hence the people who were able to keep both Ben and Super Bro Kenny.
What are you talking about? I did exactly the same thing about a fortnight ago preparing for S2E3 and all he does is complain once in front of Omid while on the bed. Kenny only "hates" you if you don't side with him in the meat locker.
Are you sure? 'Cause I'm 100% certain I did exactly this and still got the bro speech. There has to be something else. Maybe you weren't good to Duck and Katjaa or you're confused as to which save file you were playing on. Otherwise, this is really weird.

I saved Duck. I sided with Kenny. I told his family it was my parents store back in Macon. I tried to gave Katjaa a food but she didn't take it. Instead of her I gave Duck and him. I DIDN'T HELP HIM TO KILL LARRY! I stayed silent in that conversation we had in the forest. I DIDN'T STEAL THAT STATION WAGON! I DIDN'T SHOT THAT GIRL! I revaled my past and his family except Duck (But I gave him my badass high five.) I talked him down. I shot his son so he didn't have to. I took care of that attic boy so he didn't have to. I SAVED BEN! And in the end, he said to me that I didn't had his back plenty of times. What in the name of Ben is that?! I REALLY wanted to say ''Go fuck yourself!'' but in the last time I changed my mind. I feel you buddy.

I'm glad to hear it. Maybe I'm going to surpass Ben's ''S**tbird'' level and I'll earn a lot of downvotes from Kenny fans but... he can take a thousand hits for Clementine. I'll never forget what he did to me.
But I mean it wasn't just like a sort of "Oh shit you got bitten??" type of thing. He was like, almost sort of in denial about it. Like he didn't want Lee to die.
Don't hate Kenny, hate the game for it. It's a bug, it happened to me to.
Kenny will give you the bro speech if you always sided with him, but let Ben survive. In my game he didn't do that, because the game had a bug where it thinks that i sided with Larry in the drugstore. If you always side with Kenny exept one time, he will still be your loyal Bro!

There are a number of other things that you can not side with him on and he'll still act like your best bud. I guess the big time impactful situations are a bit different though.

I did the following:
- Saved Ben.
- Voted for Ben to stay with the group.
- Told Kenny to calm the fuck down when he was losing his shit with Ben.
He still went: "You've always been there for me."
So you must have done something wrong.

He's a good character, even if I hate him more than any other living character right now.

My point is you have to let him kill Fivel to confort him in his choice

1: You didn't help him to kill Larry
2: You saved Ben
Kenny won't give you the mighty Bro speech, but he will still come with you tell him that " Clem is your family now ".
Saving Ben/not helping him kill Larry/not saving his Son at the farm and the drugstore, he won't give you the Bro speech.
