---- and why he can't die.

Alot of people have been speculating Luke is gonna be out in episode four, but I feel he's going to be around awhile. Why? Well... Luke is voiced by Scott Porter, TV actor. Porter is probably the most valuble VA ever in Telltale Games ( Net worth ), and Telltale has been trying to use big names, Michael Madsen ( Carver ) was killled off because he was an antagonist, big difference. Also, Luke is cute, he luers in fangirls from every direction. He's a fan favorite, Luke is probably in my top favorites being at #2 ( After Kenny ). He's the only one who doesn't cause shit, ( Well he does, it just doesn't affect Clem as much ad it does to the others ). Alot of care went into creating Luke, I don't think his story is over yet. That's honeslty why I think Luke is going to survive.

  • Yeah I doubt he's gonna die in the next episode because we haven't even learned much about him still

I don't think the point saying he won't die because "he's cute, and lures in all the fangirls" necessarily supports your argument positively. I hate it when people rally around a character because he's hot/sexy/cute, or whatever. I mean, that can be one small reason why you like a character, but it shouldn't be the main reason for liking them. It's silly to say that because they're attractive and have fangirls, they shouldn't die.. tbh, the fact that Luke has such a huge hoard of fangirls makes me want him to die. I don't think his character portrayal has been the greatest, and his actions at the end of episode 2, and in episode 3, or in the episode 4 trailer don't exactly benefit his character development much imo. Now he's just the guy who runs away all the time. But you are probably right, he's most likely not going to be killed off next episode, I think he might die in episode 5 though.
  • Touche. I still don't think he's gonna die in ep 4 though
  • I don't think Telltale really cares if people loves him. Everyone really loved Lee... and look what happened to him. :(

They're not gonna kill Luke. They CAN'T kill Luke. *sobs in a corner*
  • It's not his turn, YET dun dun duuuun
  • lol.

A higher profile actor is LESS likely to have an open-ended long term commitment, you dumbass.

"BUT HE'S CUTE AND BRINGS IN FANGIRLS!!!"

Yeah Telltale's really aiming to bring in the tween Bratz demographic with their nihilistic Rated-M franchise.

    Jesus.

  • just beacuse your a famous actor does not make you immune to plot death.
  • word of advice for the walking dead no matter what version it is. anyone can die so don't get to attached as they may bite it before you know it :P.

  • Lee wasn't the main character in the game. Clementine was all the time, this game is about "her story". So that's why Lee dies, so you can play with Clementine in season 2.

  • Why are you such an asshole about this? The thread maker is right, having a famous VA for a character brings in fans. Plus, it's way too early to kill Luke off now. And by fangirls, he doesn't mean one type of them. So, if you're going to be an asshole about something, use valid points, not smart ass comments.

Okay, so you're basically saying "don't judge a character by it's fanbase". When you also said "tbh, the fact that Luke has such a huge hoard of fangirls makes me want him to die." Do you see the hypocrisy in your post? Because I do.

  • Sadly, high profile VA's require more money. That's probably why Carver died so early :(

  • But Telltale killed him off so there's more tension when Rebecca has the baby. Since there will be no doctor.
  • Luke will survive

Luke is the only person Nick has, He would fall apart without Luke
  • No, he died early because he was the antagonist. And they didn't have a need for Carver anymore. Luke on the other hand, we still need to get to know. Get some backstory between him and Nick, ect. I'd say the same with Rebecca and other people we don't know. I know, high profile VA's cost more money, but then again. It's Telltale Games. The gaming company that made The worlds best game of 2012. They have money to do it. Trust me.

  • Well, after Michael Madsen, it doesn't seem like you've been able to come up with any names of voice-actors in The Walking Dead S2 who were popular before S1, which makes this moot. But what makes it invalid is that this is a universe in which the trope "Anyone Can Die" is consistently pulled out of the hat. In fact it's one of the main themes: people die, and sometimes the where and when are out of our control.

I don't want Luke to die, and I'll agree with you when you say he probably won't, but never say "can't". Because he's an everyday human being, and those tend to drop like flies.
  • Good thing you have your priorities straight.

Besides, before modern medicine a lot of mothers would die during childbirth. In some African countries around 5-10% of pregnancies result in the death of the mother.
