Clem's Hat is Ugly (Not the in game one)

The Official hat went up for sale at shop. Remove the ()

It doesn't look like it does in the game. Isn't her hat Purple? Lmao.

    Uh... her hat isn't purple but no, I won't be buying it because it looks kinda... off.
    The 'D' sign isn't one colour and looks... strange. The whole hat just looks kinda ragged to be honest.

    we tend to see color a bit different sometimes but that is a dark Purple hat and not a Bright blue hat. Perhaps the night is messing with our Eyes but it still looks Purple in game.

    The white stitching on that hat is what makes it look weird. If they had less noticeable stitching (or better yet, blue stitching on the blue parts and white stitching on the white parts), it would look much closer to the hat in-game as well as the one that Telltale had made that they were giving away as prizes on Twitter.

    Telltale pretty much confirmed that it was blue too, since they had an official Clementine hat made that they were giving away as prizes on twitter that is also blue.

    I'm not a member of Telltale staff. I'm just a volunteer moderator. But, I agree those hats are quite nice. It's too bad that the people who run shop.thewalkingdead.com didn't use the same design for the ones for sale.

    Telltale has said that its possible that they'll sell merchandise in their store again in the future, so it's possible (although not certain) that the Telltale designed Clementine hat could go up for sale at some point. Judging by the amount of posts requesting it at these forums, I'm sure it would prove to be pretty popular.

    Guess it depends a lot on the lighting. I always saw it as a midnight blue in Season 1.

    Found a daytime scene and brightened the image. Color picked all around the hat and that's what I got.

    Daylight has a bit of a warm color bias to it especially in that scene. I mean, look at the shadow on her neck. It's reddish.

    Same process. Maybe increasing the brightness fucks it up but I always see and get purple. This mystery is worthy of Duck.

    Perhaps it was blue one day, when it was new. but the colors faded with time.. and there is no information about when Clemmy earned that hat.

    I always thought her favorite color was purple because in Season 2 she is wearing purple clothes. Also this painting she did when she was small.

    So... first I learn that they're doing a TWD sale on Steam, a few days after I decide to purchase the S1 and S2 to extract the audio files from them, and now they're selling Clem's hat two weeks after I make my own?

    Good thing they look awful. The hat I made myself is much better.

    It looks like it except it doesn't have the white threads in the game (from what I recall) and the blue is a bit darker... but i'll be buying it (even though I already made one, but this one is cleaner cut looking and such)
