Remembering and noticing

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
Am I the only one who is annoyed when the game says ''X will remember that'' and then, after a minute X dies?Ex:Carley,Pete. In the first season I saw more times when it said ''noticed that'' which was correct, but in season 2 I think I only saw ''S/He will remember that''.
And when Carver leaves the cabin,no matter what you say it will appear ''Carver will remember that'',but I didn't NOTICED anything different in all my playthroughs, and I think I would have REMEMBERED.

Usually they play little roles. Its not like its going to change the out come of the game or anything. It practily changes little things characters say later on. It played a bigger role in season 1 than 2.

Kind of like if you say shit in the barn in 101, clementine says shit in the bathroom in 201.
  • i will remember that
  • Ya, I don't mind it either. I kind of like em, don't know why.

I don't get annoyed when it says "____ will remember that.", then they end up dying a minute later. It actually throws us off, which I like.

  • Yeah, but Clem reacted after a long time and she remembered. If she had reacted right in that moment and not later,it should have said noticed. However,Clem reacts if you say shit, but also remembers in ep 2.

  • for some reason it doent bother me at all. They forget it on the next day.For example in episode 2 I said I was Carley not Clem. Carver didnt remember.)
  • Carver already saw through Clem's lies in episode 2.
  • she also said shit in 102 it was hilarious and so cute

  • The "____ will remember that" just shows that they're human.
  • I like it. It makes it more troublesome and surprising when someone dies because everyone in the game remembers certain things about what you say or do.
  • "Shawn won't forget that"
    5 MINUTES LATER
  • I think it's to make you think, "Oh, he'll remember that, so he'll probably live longer" then BOOM, they're dead. Trolltale likes to mess with us a lot.
  • you can be mean and everyone will die remembering that
  • Yeah,that's what I said.

In EP3 when Troy kicks Clem, if you choose to say -Don't kick me-, it says "Troy might remember that". I didn't see anything change with him, though. Did that notice mean to show that Troy regretted what he did?
  • No, he's just stupid to the point of not remembering.

  • Even if they bring it up straight after they still remember it. Even the conversation changing means the remember it.
  • I'm holding out for a 104 group choice decision, where depending on what you let your group remember or with the stranger..

I don't think Carver gave much importance to what Clem said in the cabin, judging by episode 3. As for Pete and Carley, it's so that people don't see their death coming or to show they give a shit about what you just said.
  • sorry i didnt see your comment

Wouldn't it be worse if you knew that every character getting these messages didn't die? Wouldn't be that exicting right..
