What's Luke's relationship with Carver?

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
There seems to be a kind of lenience when it comes to Carver dealing with Luke. Also when Carver gets overthrown Luke didn't want to kill him. I don't think it's only because he didn't want more bloodshed, it's because he probably doesn't want him to die. He seems angry at him for all his wrongdoing, but doesn't want him to die or feels bad about it. If you chose to go with Luke and Sarita you can see Luke close his eyes when Carver is getting beaten. Something tells me they had a special relationship. Maybe he was like a father to him when his parents died or maybe......PLOT TWIST... Carver is Luke's father.... If that's the case I will flip out. If it's true then maybe he was ashamed to say it.

  • Maybe not Luke's father, but perhaps his uncle.
The possibility for both is always there, and unless the writers choose to reveal it, will never know.
  • If Carver turns out to be Luke's father, i'm dead. :P
  • they were BFFs before Carver became evil.Thats why Luke didn`t want to kill him in episode 3
  • Confirmed: carver is darth vader
  • After this episode, I'm really intrigued as to what the deal was here too, but who knows if TellTale will explore it any further (god forbid, an episode not be a fast-paced 90 minutes). In addition to Luke's reaction to killing Carver, as you mentioned, Carver's downright pleasant (by his standards) way of telling Luke to stay out of his business and the way Luke was apparently only lightly roughed up when he was caught (which, you would think the opposite, considering Luke has a specific history of defying Carver and convincing others to do so) all make for a raised eyebrow.

I could definitely see him being related to Carver in some way, or at least Carver having been some kind of father figure or mentor to him at one point, and that explaining his apparent soft spot for Luke.

I had a theory that they could be related somehow now long after A House Divided but after playing In Harms Way i don't think he is, if Carver was Luke's father it would be too much like Star Wars if Carver announced it to people, Nick has known Like for over 20 years so he would have said something if Carver was related to Luke, maybe he could be a long lost relative that nobody else knew about apart from Luke.
