Your Favorite Element of a Telltale Game?
Let's just say Game of Thrones or Tales From the Borderlands comes out, and you play the first episode. Then you realize something: a very crucial element that Telltale Games had used in TWD and TWAU is gone! It happened to be one of your favorite parts about their games! What is it?
- Episode Slides
- Notifications in the top left corner
- Quick-time events
- The silence option
- Choice percantages
- Cel-shaded style (As Suggested by Rigtail)

How isn't lenght an option ? These people are gonna slaughter you.
The notifications for TWD S2 mean nothing anymore :c

Ben went with Lee 3% HAHAHAHAHAHA
I happen to be very fond of the notifications in the top left corner. I feel it adds a certain charm and uniqueness to the game, even though the notifications themselves are usually blindingly obvious or redundant. I also really like the choice percentages, though, because they're what usually fuel the episode discussions that I have. So a toss-up between those two.
Cause length is usually a requirement in every game on this Earth. Considering those that don't have length are non-existent considering their 0 minute run-time.
Or it's a mobile phone game. But let's not get into those.
I like the cell shaded style, the episodic element, and the story of course!
Duh, of course lenght is a requirement.
The sentence I wrote is a sarcastic way of saying "Lenght that satisfies my wants".
characters! of course,@Telltale write amazing characters,so life like.
My favorite element is the shortness of the episodes. Gives me enough time to get home, eat dinner, finish an episode and go to sleep.
Aye, they don't.
Clementine that's my only reason to finish it. I need to see what happens to the little girl I met in the treehouse that I developed with Lee no matter how bad the game gets. I don't like the qte's, decisions which have no effect, lack of gameplay even story has so many plotholes and is short but must know what happens to Clem tbh that's it.
This, which sucks because I used to love the notifications and get excited about what they would mean for my future with different characters. I'd like to see all your downvoters point out a notification that has actually gone anywhere this season.
Oh gif's, how I missed you...
I like the Cel-shaded style, but a more realystic graphics would be interesting too.
I think the Quick-time events, (that QQQQQQQQQ distress momment) is something that i would miss if it wasn't in the game anymore.
The element of SURPRISE!
Who cares, those two games are going to suck anyways.
Not more than you.
Be nice.
Definiaetly silence option (I never used it though)
Eh, don't bother. They're probably the people who see absolutely nothing wrong with season 2. I found myself rarely looking at those in episode 3.
This thread's got like three downvoters on it. Odd.
The choices and how everyone can experience a slightly different version of the game based on how they play it
people openly bash them in pretty much every game but when done right quick time events adds a great element to the gameplay, The Walking Dead is imo the only game that does them correct, the whole struggling against a zombie that makes it into the room your trapped within by having multiple choices (qte) to choose from and having the zombie claw up your body while trying to push it away and such. great stuff right there, and this should be the philosophy taken with all survival horror games.
