What's with that moth?
Ok, so at the very beginning of "In Harms Way" there was an option to interact with this little moth. But what's weird to me is that if you pause the game, it shows a picture of it.
It begs the question. Does that moth represent something a bit darker and mabey more unpleasant? (I chose NOT to touch it, it was just too cute.)

I dunno but it really BUGS me just thinkin about it
I'm not usually superstitious, but it was so weird for me. I dunno.
(EDIT) Wow. That went RIGHT over my head like a pleb. And I posted that SAME thing, shiet...
I know man... That moth is a MOTHerfucker...
LIKES... LIKES FOREVER!
That's why you should avoid getting IN SECTS.
Dem symbolisms.
What is it now, vulnerability, faith, attraction, determination...
Vulnerability seems pretty accurate for the episode. In Harms Way and all.
Likes in return. RIPS THUMBS OFF, AND THROWS THEM AT YOU
Awwwwwwwwwwww, that's... AWESOME!
The general symbolism behind a moth or buttterfly is transformation and/or change.
That moth doesn't BUG you?
Moths are sometimes thought to be symbols/harbingers of danger, transformation, and death. I can't tell what species it is. Maybe that's significant. Can someone get an HD picture of it?
Ok, that actually makes alot of sense. Thank you!
I would respond with something witty, but I'm not sure how many bug puns are left to be made.
Just saw the top comment... Already taken, and it went RIGHT over my head...
Well, that makes a lot more sense then:
Albeit that was a rather obscure reference to a mildly successful 2002 Richard Gere movie...
Okay, there's been a really good thread done about the moth, it's an interesting theory as to what it represents here
I am really scared...
UUUUGGGGHHHHHHHHH
It symbolizes that life goes on even in the ZA. At least that is what i got out of it.
Thanks, I didn't know someone else covered it already.
Hey, no problem, it's one possible theory, who knows why it was there, but that thread is my theory personally!
Does no one remember the earlier thread about the moth? It was probably the best theory i've ever seen
there was a thread earlier explaining it. it was awesome. I will try to find it.
yeah I haven't had any luck
GoneButLivedOn already showed me. There's a link up there.
I think the moth was supposed to get help from giant eagles.
Then that brings us to the famous question...why didn't the eagles just take Clem and co. to Wellington? :S
I saw a pretty cool theory that the moth represents natural selection and the Darwinistic point of view that Carver supports. It was in a review for the episode, I forgot a lot of it but I thought it was pretty cool. A lot of episode 3 was very survival-of-the-fittest themed - "the weak will perish and only the strong will survive," Carver on weak vs. strong, even Jane pointing out that everyone in the group is going to die except for Clem and her in the preview for ep4. Almost three years into the apocalypse, Clementine is becoming more and more adapted to the new world - much more than others who Carver would probably consider weak. But being strong and surviving means that others will die to keep her alive.
