So... should we expect the same for Episode Four?

  • So because it happens in the comics it has to happen on the television show? Can't they be original and write their own story?

I'm not sure if you've read the comics or not, but all of that happened in the comics. Also, just because you don't like the show doesn't mean it has bad writing. By saying that, you're making your opinion sound like a fact, which it's not.

  • Nope, we can dream though.

No, but it's an adaptation, so important plot points are bound to appear. Sure, they could have been handled better, but Season 4 is a perfect example that shows that it can and already is being done better. Season 4 used a lot of things that did work in the comics which were added with the context of the show's story in mind, and the season was better for it.

  • They have, if you've been paying attention, plenty of things differ from the comics.

  • I am sure the comic was a lot better than the television show, because the TV show felt, long, drawn out, and at times extremely boring.

I hear they brought Carol back. Are they serious LOL.

  • uh huh, Why is she still alive again. Lets kill Shane one of the most interesting characters on the show, but leave the most bland alive for 4+ seasons. I would rather watch a plant grow than listen to Carol talk.

You're now officially on most people's good side. Congratulations Juice Box, you deserve it. I'll just stay here and go against everyone. It's fun.

  • the world created in the comics to me is more realistic than the world created in the tv show, so yes in the comic the dead wife thing worked as opposed to the tv show where it felt stilted and if anything took me further out of the world.

I hate the TWD TV show, the writing is so bad. Remember when Rick goes crazy, and he starts talking to his dead wife on the phone. I was like, whatever.

Dunno, man; her growth as a character is pretty interesting.

Shane was there to explode, and if anything, his death came way too late in the season he was supposed to die. Like almost all of the good stuff that season.

  • If I recall correctly, the show producers (or somebody) tried killing Carol off three times during the course of Season 3.

  • The whole best friends forced to kill each other, just seemed a little fake to me. Then when Shane just kills Otis just to get away, it was like the writers were looking for a reason to justify killing him. That really pissed me off.

    pls don't

  • The thing with Shane is that I agreed a lot of times with him about what had to be done, but he was a nutcase about it. In one of the good bits of dialogue from Season 2, Andrea tells him something along the lines of "You speak the truth, it's only the delivery that you need to work on."

Then he starts to get frustrated and he goes full... well, Shane.

    In short:
He was becoming a danger to the group. :P

  • I disagree, if he was there when the Governor acted like a hard ass, Shane would of taken care of business, and a lot of people would be alive because of him.

  • That is the tragic point here, Shane's pragmatism was a healthy foil for Rick's idealism...

    But he went full Shane

Hell, Rick is starting to see a lot of Shane's points in S4.

  • I'd rather wait a month/two than have episode 4 release 2-3 weeks from now and be a rushed crap.

  • edited May 2014

I doubt they will release it that early. maybe in about 2 weeks we will get screen shots. I doubt next week.

  • Good point... but they have been working on it a while considering the episode four achievements came out when the episode three achievements came out so...
