Should Mike be Main Character or Redshirt?
So we met along with Jane, this Mike guy in Episode Four. I already think he's pretty cool and can apply himself. Not to mention that sweet battle scar. What do you think of him? Do you want to see a lot more of him, or want him to become a "Mark". As in, he dies an important death so no *main *character has to die from it.
And also, what plans do you think Telltale has for him?
(The term redshirt is from Star Trek. Redshirts were basically crew members that wore red who could die any episode. So throwaway characters. Unless you were Picard...)

Yeah they have to redshirt him for the 2014 football season
.__.
a'ight.
he seems like a pretty cool guy who doesn't afraid of anything.
I hope he doesn't die right off the bat.
Mike could "knock some heads together if he has to." He cares about Clem's safety so how could you not like him.
Mike is a cool guy. I hope they don't kill him off
I hope he's not a redshirt. Mike's awesome and I want him to survive the Season.
Dude, he's Michael J. White, he has to be a main character.
I want Mike to be a main character. Reggie SAYS Mike is a jerk, and he's obviously grumpy that first night in the prison, but in practice, he's not that much of a jerk. I mean, I can't say for sure and I don't mean to put Kenny down, but that fight Mike had with Kenny looked like it was mostly Kenny's fault. From what I saw, Kenny overreacted to Mike giving him instructions. Kenny saw them as orders and became suspicious of Mike being "one of them." I'm not real upset with Kenny for doing this. He was very upset at the prospect of being a slave. Who wouldn't be? I understand. But apparently Mike understands too, as he doesn't hold it against Kenny, he never brings it up again, and he's never any special kind of jerk to Kenny. Maybe that's just a small thing but it makes me like Mike. He seems like a nice level-headed guy, the kind that's rare in the apocalypse. I hope he sticks around a good while, but if I'm honest, I don't expect him to. I'm getting more of a "Mark" vibe from him.
I don't want him to be a redshirt! I want to learn more about him, he seems cool and his ear injury looks awesome. The scene where you first arrive at the pen and you can try to get his attention but he's just like "GO AWAYYYY" is so funny. And he seems to be pretty smart and rational as well.
I have no feeling either way. IMO I haven't learned enough from the group to know if he should be kept or not. Jane feels like she maybe more prominent to the continuance of the story. I also think Rebecca, Luke & Kenny will play big roles that Mike will end up being disposable.
I hope Mike sticks around, if only to be the one person who continues to say "Really guys? Why do we keep making the 11 year old girl do everything?"
I WANT Mike to be a main character but I'm worried he'll just be a red shirt. He's interesting to me and I want to learn more about him. I want to learn why he comes off like a grump but is willing to save people's lives, why he gets into fights by taking Kenny's bait but argues against Clementine endangering herself, how he got his ear injury. I dunno, he just seems interesting to me!
I too would like him to be a more important character. He had some great humorous moments with Clem ("Get lost"... "Noooo. Get out of here"... "GO AWAY.") and I love his line to Kenny, "Then that's not a plan. You don't plan to improvise." He's a logical guy and was willing to take the risks to protect Clementine.
I just hope Mike won't be another redshirt like Reggie, but I doubt he won't be one.
He seems like a cool character, but I don't see him making it past Episode 5. I think he has a big chance of dying in Episode 4 though.
Yeah, cause he's urban, urban, urban....... (referring to knocking heads together)
He gon' die protecting Rebecca while she's giving birth
Maybe even something like, Jane pushing him towards a group of walkers to save herself,so that we'll see her true nature.
Mike the redshirt Urban guy...that has a nice ring to it! Don't ya think?
If it was between Mike and Jane then I would want Mike to become a main character.
Mike looks like a promising/interesting character, I hope he's gonna stick around for a long time.
(and I really want to know what happened to his cheek and ear, too)
Telltale is going to see this comment and be like.
"Okay guys, they like Mike a lot. Let's kill him off first thing in episode 4"
He's a redshirt. Calling it.
Lol probably
