Ignore.
To be honest Season 1 had many more instances to talk and look around. I loved how you could look at every little detail on a screen and get comment out of it. I also loved how every little action required clicking which made you feel as if you were Lee in his situation. Overall I liked the amount of things you could do in episodes more.
I love Season 2 a lot, but I wished it was longer and had more interactive areas where you could explore and find solutions to progress in the story. I missed that in Season 1. I loved the puzzles we had like finding a way into the drugstore in Ep1, Finding a way to move the train and destroy the tank in Ep3 and also finding supplies in Crawford in Ep4.
I don't hold it against Telltale since they are a small team and have various simultaneous projects. I'm just giving my views. Season 1 was perfect in my opinion. I have suggestions for how each episode could have been better, but it may be too long to express here. So what are your views?
EDIT: For all the people disagreeing, I don't hold it against you. I'm used to receiving a lot of hate for giving constructive criticism. Well, since the game has no flaws whatsoever, then maybe it is perfect and has no room for improvement. By the looks of it, that's what most of you think.
Actually I learned something today. Never criticize Telltale's work again and risk more hate. Sorry everybody, I don't know what came over me. Nothing to see here.
Comments
Character development in Season 1 character's are better
Locations are better in season 1
Hubs are alot better in season 1
Walkers felt like a bigger threat in season 1
Everything
Character development.
--- will remember this (?) were true.
More interactions.
Etc.
I don't disagree with you. It's my opinion. Their new approach is definitely not as strong as Season 1's.
Actual moments of calm. They were nice. There are a few in season 2, but otherwise shit hitting the fan doesn't have anywhere near the same impact when shit is in a perpetual cycle of being thrown at the fan and blasted back in your face.
I know it's not you, it just fanboys who love Telltale too much
Have some respect for Clem_is_awesome opinion, Boo to you
You people are crybabies. Your opinions don't count as much
getting to talk to people, getting to know people so their deaths didn't feel like nothing when they died COUGH CARLOS COUGH
We aren't crybabies. Simply stating an opinion you don't agree with doesn't necessarily make it wrong.
HAHAHAHAHA OK.
Please learn the diffrence between crybabies and criticize
Yeah it's a bit much but saying "everything" without a reason Is going to get negative feedback

People like you make me sick. In all seriousness. Watch my disagrees flow since you are in the majority.
I agree, there were moments of calmness or even happiness in between serious and sad moments. Season 2 seems to be constantly in danger, in a serious area, or having sad moments. The entirety of episode 3 didn't have any moments where you got to sit down and relax since the game was telling you to think this mind set: "Fuck this place. I wanna leave. The boss is a fuckin' asshole. The guys here are dicks. I hate it here."
Your disagrees? What does that even mean? Crybabies are losing their ability to spell. Good thing crybabies make me sick too so this feeling is mutual.
I hate to get involved here, but spewing 'the writers suck, Telltale sucks, season 2 sucks' in every single thread can't really be called any sort of constructive criticism. Mind you, I have agreed with Clem_is_awesome in the past when he's actually put effort into explaining reasons why he hates season 2 so much, but incessantly whining about the same things in every single thread does eventually start to come off as, yes, 'crybabyish.'
You're a moron, so it doesn't make sense explaining to you. It's just a waste of my time replying to you now.
Also I didn't make any spelling errors you dumbass, go back to school.
Someone in this thread knows what criticism means. Bravo Snookie!
When did we say the writers suck? The reason why it is said a lot is because it's a shared opinion. I'm so sorry if it gets you all angry. At least I explained why I thought Season 1 was more powerful. I in no way think Season 2 is bad. I just gave my thoughts for improvement. You can call us crybabies all you want, I don't care. People will disagree with me and worship people like you because you all are probably well liked on this site.
I can already foretell a reply from one of you stating how absurd my comment is. Anyways, I hope you understand and don't hate me for it.
I'm talking about Clem_is_awesome, not you. I don't know if you've seen half of his posts, but nowadays that's pretty much all they consist of.
I know you were. I just put myself in that group. The season is not over yet anyways, so Telltale may impress me and make me change my opinion.
Suddenly this thread gets a lot of dislikes.
Ummm....I think I would go with the choices that affects your relationship with people. That's one of the reason why I love the first season but umm season 2 is doing good.
lol, both of these used to have +2, but someone changed their mind.
funny how everyone is arguing while there is a dislike troll downvoting everyone XD
He would say it's me if I wasn't getting downvoted along with everyone else.
For the record, I don't entirely disagree with this 'group' you put yourself in, so don't go and get offended when I call one of them out.
obviously its none of us!! you guys should apologize to each other now XD
We can be bestfriends if he wants to apologize for his harsh words. In all seriousness I apologize to everyone but Clem_is_awesome. His complaining is just stupid at this point.
Thanks for your opinion GdaTyler. Your post is criticism, but it is constructive criticism. Ignore all the haters.![:) :)](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
To me, I think Season 2 is great, but like you, I find it lacking a little from what Season 1 had offered. The lack of HUDS and puzzle-solving that you pointed out indeed seems to make the season a little less player-driven. Now, this is not necessarily a bad thing - if the story needs to be driven outside of player control, that is okay.
However, in my opinion, TTG is not doing such a great job with the story either. The story is very exciting, and we get new and intriguing situations presented to us, but there is one thing very lacking - character development. Almost each character is getting attention for only one or two episodes, and they either remain pretty static throughout the entire season or die off. Furthermore, the one character we all care about, Clementine, remains pretty static too! With the exception of the first scene of episode 1, her character development is really lacking. For more information, see this thread: http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/71784/clementine-s-character-development
Welp, from one crybaby to another, OP, don't worry about the hate. I've noticed the forum is strangely all over the place on this issue and depending on the day, these types of threads can get a ton of support, split down the middle, or get buried by people defending the season, it really is a toss up. Plus, there are always the downvote trolls who just do what they love to do, regardless of opinion being expressed.
Anyway, I agree with you. I mean, I'll give S2 a few points in its favor: playing as Clementine was a great move for all sorts of reasons, not the least of which is its rich potential in allowing us to view and dictate the effects on a child of surviving in a post-apocalyptic world, and as much as I loved Lee, I like playing Clem more. Obviously, the game is more polished with the graphics and bugs having been improved upon and S2 has done well in creating a pervasive sense of unease and danger, with very few moments where we as the player ever feel safe.
But then, at the same time, if I could sum up my criticism of this season in one word it would definitely be: shallowness. As you mentioned, in comparison to S1 the episodes are no longer concerned with allowing you to explore the world and the characters in it, they're too busy pushing you on the rails to the next plot point and thus not making you care enough when they happen.
Ow my self esteem
I don't know if I'll be able to recover. Hold me?
