Lee speaking to his brother

Another far-fetched discussion, sorry. Remember when Lee had a few last words with his brother in Macon? Is it possible that there is some sort of consciousness left deep inside some walkers and in this case he heard Lee's words? I was just wondering that even if the walker influence overpowers your being, that there is still some trace left behind deep inside? Just a stupid question, but it is a question that always lingered in my mind, I just remembered it again. So what are your thoughts about that...

  • Milton is that you?

  • Well you have to die to become a walker, so you would have no life/consciousness left. Interesting question tho :P

I wouldn't like to be a walker and i would hate to be one with memories, i rather get my head chopped in tiny little pieces. Btw i think they can't remember anything.

  • I honestly think they are just hollow shells.

  • I was thinking that because the brain is still left intact, albeit in a bad condition. It's probably not possible, but it would be nice if that scene had significance to the brother.

  • Well the fact that a walker can survive with it's head alone is screwed up. The stranger's wife is an example.

    Nope, they're dead.
They're just bodies controlled by their only need, eating.

  • I don't think there anything anymore. there just monsters. the only thing left behind was the looks. that's is.

  • In the show (and the comics I think) theres the bicycle girl walker who was crawling across the park where the evacuation took place to try and find her children. She also reaches out to Rick as if she wants him to help her and she doesn't try to bite him so maybe a few walkers maintain a tiny bit of who they used to be.

  • I don't think that his brother understood. Poor Lee was saying those words to console himself, it's not uncommon for a grieving person to do that, even if they know the dead person can't hear them.

  • Really?I never knew that.Could you give me the link to where you read that.
