I would still play. Clementine is my favorite video game character of all time, but I'm a fan of TWD universe, not just a Clem fan. Besides, my favorite character of the TV Series had already been killed off and I'm still watching it.
One of the telltale staff once said that the game was based around Clem from the start not even Lee. They would only kill her if they wanted to end the series (which would be stupid) but even then I don't see that happening

I don't think that she'll die, it would feel kinda pointless and unsatisfying to me. We watched her journey only to see her die? Nuh uh. However, it could be interesting if TTG implemented another timeskip, to her 30's for example, Clem's walking in the footsteps of Lee and sacrificing herself to protect someone, though it could also feel like a rehash like OzzyUK said because of this. I dunno, it's just an example. Killing of current Clem would be a bad move (if we're talking about the plot) in my opinion.
Clementine dies a tragic death that has everybody in the fandom crying waterfalls...and then, just when we're at our worst, Telltale will torture us some more by having us control another character who'll carry dead Clem to have her buried in the ground like that poor kid in Episode 4, and we'll have too shovel every bit of friggin dirt over her grave with some sappy sad music because Telltale are just mean assholes that way and love to watch us squirm.
Seriously though if Clem dies the fandom will implode on itself, so I don't think they will....I-I hope not anyway.
Clem's WAAAAAAY too popular of a character for Telltale to kill off. There'd be riots in front of Telltale's offices if they did that.
That and they already did the whole "kill the main character" thing before. It wouldn't be all that effective or surprising. It would also open up a big question: where do we go with season 3? Do we just start from scratch after establishing all of these characters?
They won't kill her. Jane is training her to be a badass zombie killing ninja. They will probably do a timeskip to when Clem is older and has reached wellington.

Now obviously killing her is unlikely, but how about having her maimed in some way? A few characters in the comics have been but that makes them even more badass. Surviving in the apocalypse with a disability and it'll make all the fans even more protective.

It would be such a waste to kill her. 1st of all it would repeat the ending of the first season, 2nd she is an amazing character worth developing much further, 3rd a lot of people might lose interest in the series. So killing Clem in Season 2 would be a really bad move.
