I was stating the facts, that Telltale has a lot of work to do, which is true. You don't seem to understand that.

I haven't "lost" I'm the patient guy here who actually thinks logically about situations, like Telltale not being able to publish 5 episodes of 10 hours gameplay every week. I'm fed up with this stuff.

Now, I need to get back to studying. You can keep the argument going if you'd like, but I'm done here.

  • Funny thing, the "4 games" shit isn't an excuse for shorter eps when the 4 games all have separate teams.

  • Telltale has over 4 teams?

  • Not all the time but people have bitched about episodes being too long before.
Back when Season 1 was released, the episodes were around 90-100 minutes long and then episode 4 came out and went for 2+ hours and i remember people bitching about how it was too long and was too boring. That's the main reason why it's considered the worst episode, because it was too long. People want perfection. If an episode is less then 90 minutes or more then 100 minutes then there will be complaints.

Longer episodes = more time spent. People bitch at them all the time for "taking too long" yet, they cry about the episodes being short.

  • Right.

  • Episode 4 was fine but still WAY too short. I mean I'm okay with the 90 minutes, I get it they don't have the time but TWAU ep4 felt like 40-50 minutes which is wrong...=/ Let's hope they will add a little more in the last one which I hope will be the best. And there's no much hope for TWD either, I doubt they will just change the length in the middle of the season. Let's just hope they will stop working on so many projects at one time from now on.

i hope they change it soon. IGN gave TWAU ep. 4 a 6.0 partly for it's incredibly short runtime, so that might send them a message.

  • if i remember right, it wasn't even the length that was the problem, but the back tracking at crawford. there was a reason for it, but it slowed the pace of the game. the whole arguement over longer ep = longer wait = better game is stupid. imo, it's more a point of the game getting released too early. if the game had been released after episode 2 was pretty much done, and the whole story pretty much written, most of the problems wouldn't actually be an issue. with the main story pretty much written, they could have the consistency the episodes are lacking, they could address all the "routes" possible and wrap them up neatly, rather than having no differences in things like pete's death if u chose him in ep 1, or almost completely cutting alvin and nick out episode 3 simply because they're determinant, and carlos as well, since he was gonna die anyway. hell, even carver, the big bad guy everyone was so afraid of, had very little actual time before getting killed off, and we found out next to nothing about why the group left. just that reggie tripped and was left behind, and bonnie was gonna go, but the group ditched her instead. these aren't time constraint problems, or atleast that's not the only or even the biggest problem, but the writing. if the writing is there, work can be done on it. if things can get done, then making changes or alternate scenes can be properly timed out. instead, we're getting episodes that feel like they're written on the spot with little cohesion or any real nod to the fact that our choices are supposed to do more than change how people talk to us for the next 2 seconds. maybe not all the time, but so far, none of our choices have had any effect at all. everybody still treats clem the same, regardless of if she's mute, nice, or mean. even if she saved nick and alvin, they were little more than afterthoughts in episode 3. or even who we sat with in episode 2. hell, atleast kenny and lily held a grudge against lee longer than 10 seconds, back in season 1. we see nothing like that. and why? can they not have these sorts of things because they have such little time, or is the writing for it just not there?

the short episodes are annoying, but i really dont feel like they're the actual problem...

  • You weren't on the forums when it came out were you? If you were, you'd know that people complained about it being too long and getting boring. I do agree though that they've wasted a lot this season with Pete, Alvin, Nick, Carlos and Carver. Pete had no impact on his death where as If you chose Carely or Doug in Season 1 it would have a big impact i.e Saving Carely, you'd be able to tell people about your past and if you saved Doug, you couldn't. Alvin they got rid of to make you hate Carver and Nick shouldn't be a determinant character. Carlos was to shock you but i knew something was going to happen given the people shooting on top of the building. Had a sense someone was going to be shot. Carver is interesting because they must have something planned for the last 2 episodes for them to kill of the main antagonist only half way through the season. I think it has to do with the fact that they prepared way better in Season 1 then Season 2. They were more into the game back then, then they are now. Also, it seems they've been lazy with character development but they haven't given as much chance to have grudges, relationships. The closest we got to a Kenny/Lily grudge was Pete and Nick and that only last 10 minutes. And don't forget that they're doing what 4 games at once? So of course they will lose passion for Season 2. They want the other games to be perfect for their first release.
IMO, they should only be focusing on 1 game at a stage, 2 at the most. Doing 4 is just stupid and will effect other games. Just look at the lack of effort in Season 2 of the walking dead compared to Season 1.
People may like Season 2 better, but there is no denying that they spent more time and effort into Season 1.
