Could Wellington be like Terminus Sanctuary?

I was thinking could Wellington be a place like Terminus? Just think why is everyone so eager to go there? We all know people said they have fresh water and people there. Wellington could be a trap to lure people in. We already know Carver's camp was a trap.

Wellington's welcome seems to be like Terminus:

'' Welcome To Wellington, we have plenty of fresh water and people here.''All who arrive survive''

Clementine and whoever is with her will be in another prison like environment. When Lee told Clem never to let herself become trapped effects this episode too. Luke and Kenny will be taken hostage and you have to choose which one to save. That's the pizza or ice cream hard decision.

Well I'm just speculating and I don't care for the dislikes or likes, I just want to express my thoughts on Wellington and episode 205

I'm guessing season two will end with the season one secrete ending scene. Where Clem see's two people walking on the hill. This makes sense because there is no way Clem could have made it to the country side that fast. She was still in Savannah which is the city. Maybe the two people were Sarah and Jane lol.

  • What are your thoughts about this? I just think Wellington is a trap and like Terminus XD

  • Clem was still young when she saw the people on the hill, so it essentially must have been Omid and Christa.

  • I swear to God, if they make any more safe haven 'traps' I'll freaking lose it!

    Woodbury, Terminus.
In the game; St. John's farm, Carver's place, Roman's group-.. it is getting very cliche, don't you think?

  • Seems like a trap to me, Mathew even said he saw at least 1 group a day pass the bridge/traintracks

  • Like Flog already said, in that secret ending, Clem is stil young. But I like your idea! Wellington can simply not be as good as everyone say, it's impossible. Maybe the cold really slows down lurkers but everyone is heading here and more people means more problems.

  • I don't think it will be a trap, if anything it simply won't be as good as the rumors say.

I expect Wellington to be their "prison" a makeshift base that they think can work, but will eventually fall, leaving them with nothing.

  • I don't think Wellington is a trap like Terminus. I think it would either be someplace like the Alexandria Safe Zone, or it would be false hope, completely overrun by walkers.

  • yup. like they get there and it looks like they took camp there, but everyone's dead frozen, and its so cold or something and... I have no idea were im going with this...

  • but what does the 'no going back' stand for?

  • nah that would be too predictable and we already had false hope with the st johns hopefully telltale either works out something no one will expect or they will make it like Alexandria and if they do season 3 it will revolve around that (something like the negan arc but somehow different)

  • I think it's about time one of these places actually are good and not a trap or have something secretly bad about them. They could get to this place and have to defend it against something, that would be cool.

  • That would be unoriginal if Wellington was like Terminus. Telltale had already dealt with the cannibal trope in episode 2, Starved for Help

  • Clementine was still 9 when she saw the two figures on the hill. She's 11 in Season 2.

  • No going back to cannibalism. :P or no going back to Wellington (if they get there in E4)

but what does the 'no going back' stand for?

  • Agreed, it's not really a surprise anymore. Hell, I'd be much more interested in dealing with a stable community that's actually lead by a very level-headed person for once.

  • Yeah, as soon as Christa mentioned Wellington, I figured it would be too good to be true.
