Telltale and Zen Studios just announced a Zen Pinball table for Walking Dead.

The trailer is up on YouTube, and the announcement is on Zen Studio's Twitter.

Trailer

EDIT: Having played previous Zen Pinball games prior to this announcement, I think it's safe to say that you all don't need to worry about this game taking up time from Telltale. Telltale has likely only provided game assets for Zen Pinball to use. Zen Pinball frequently makes Pinball tables for other franchises like Marvel, Star Wars, Street Fighter, Plants vs Zombies, 'Splosion Man, and a few others.

    Thread: The walking dead pinball?!1!!

    ( "Title")

Is this what the "big surprise" was?!

I don't know what to feel about this :3

Edit: why isn't my video showing?

  • Damn you are freaking quick lol.

Anyways ya kind of disappointed, was hoping it be something cooler, but still pretty cool and I love me
    Some pinball

  • I saw it too and my question is, Why?!??

  • I am disappoint.

Now i finally get to tickle some balls.

  • A little random....why can't they make action figures? That'd be awesome.

  • edited June 2014

At first i thought this was a joke. -_-

I kind of am too, don't get me wrong I'm excited, but I was hoping for sam and max or game of thrones

It seems interesting, Lee and Clem are also watching the game :P

  • Seeing that it's season 1 characters and setting, I'm guessing it must have been in development since season 1

  • Basing it on Season 2 would be treading on TTG's toes. They're not making this, after all.

    Ignore this, seems I misunderstood.

A pinball game doesn't take that much time to develop. There will probably be a Season Two stage when Season Two is finished. Note that Clem's house, the St. John's Dairy and Savannah are all there. Might want to wait until there's more locations to make a Season Two one.

  • Pretty "meh" but I don't think we were expected to be that hyped about it. Would be nice if we get a trailer of Amid The Ruins during E3, pretty confident that we will actually but still.

Telltale aren't making it, it being made by a studio called Zen.

  • How is it insulting? We're still getting Episode 4. Not only that, but this game was actually outsourced almost completely. It didn't delay Telltale's development time of a new episode.

  • The fact they didn't use Lee's severed arm as a design for the flippers is a golden opportunity missed.

  • They said neither were going to be a series and it featured undead. So no, that's kinda impossible on the Game of Thrones side.

Not entirely for Sam & Max though.

I wonder if your choices will impact the score like they did in actual pinball.

Anyway, it would've been cooler if it was a Telltale mashup like the Poker Night series. Have Sam, Max, Lee, Clementine, Marty McFly and Bigby Wolf arguing over points would've been pretty funny.

  • Sorry, I misunderstood.

  • I'm thrilled.

  • mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... I don't really care too much.

  • For money

    Why?

  • I-... what?

  • Ok, if that happens, this will be the best game made by Telltale ever! I can just imagine the opening cutscene being Ben losing at Pinball and Lee pushes him out of the way so then the player(Us) can play.

    This is pretty interesting!

  • It would be so cool if characters (All characters that are seen in the pinball table) have funny conversations. Like in this one Lee & Clementine can have funny conversations. Even a Ben and Clementine one. Or a Doug and Kenny conversation.

Nah but in all seriousness i could give a fuck the only positive that comes from this is that it proves that TT is not done with TWD and there might be a 3rd Season.

  • Are you kidding? Pinball game?? Seriously???

  • So what does it do exactly? Is it just pinball with TWD over it or does it have TWD music playing while playing? Give some mofo details.

  • Man that will be some depressing ass pinball game if they use TWD Soundtrack.

  • The Walking Dead Pinball table features choice-driven gameplay across each of Season One's five episodes, along with original story dialogue from the award-winning cast. Scenarios include choosing who to save and who to leave behind in a walker attack, solving problems and keeping up morale within the group, searching for food and supplies, acquiring important tools, and navigating through the herd amidst an oncoming walker breach.

I think it will be like this but with a walking dead theme.

  • Thread: Um... wut?

Telltale made a TWD pinball game.... Wtf? Not hating at all but the concept is pretty weird. Did they just think, "You know what would make TWD better? Pinball." Um.. No. Well I dunno. Not the greatest idea on Earth but won't know till I try, so I bet I'm still gonna end up cashing another $25 to Telltale. But Telltale, if your gonna make it, make it good.

  • Not telltale it's some other company i never heard off that made it TTG was just collaborating with them.

  • Telltale didn't made it, studio Zen did. And I'm pretty sure you won't end up paying 25$ dollars for it.
