Since Kenny HAD His Redeeming Moment In Ep. 5...

What should his inevitable death be? A redeeming Ben/Christa scene would be redundant.

Nothing against Kenny, I also think he's awesome, but if we do see him die (Which I feel is a high chance), I'd want his death to be something we don't even see coming. Think about it. Kenny's been shot in the arm, beaten on multiple occasions, escaped a horde of walkers, and nearly bludgeoned to death. If we see his death, it needs to be grandioso. For a man who's survived so much, his death needs to be something that he knows is the end. Something not even the most powerful man on earth could overcome. So much so that he just accepts it.

What are your thoughts? Should Kenny sacrifice himself again, or should he die in vain? Or something completely different?

  • Infection. From his eye. A slow, sapping death brought on by something he can't fight. No heroism or triumph. No glory or fanfare. Just waiting as the inevitable creeps towards him. It'd be a tragic end for his character and reminiscent of what happened with his son and Lee.

  • I think it would be better just to leave kenny christa and a few s2 survivors alive for the end, so the end of this season has some hope unlike last season (dont get me wrong s1 ended amazingly) but i feel if they went down a mo hope ending again it would just feel like it's been done too much

  • Someone shaves his beard and with his source of power now gone he distingrates into ash but before giving the group enough time to escape the epicenter of the resulting explosion....

    [Spoiler below!]

Or maybe, Kenny gets mortally wounded during the ambush at the museum (I think this because of one of the achievement details for Ep 4 is "Survived the attack"). I can't think of a how or why other than to save somebody else. Maybe Luke? I don't know.

What if Sarah or Christa(If there is ever a reunion) shoot Kenny on accident. It sounds stupid but unexpected :D. A horde of walkers are drawn to the sound and you're forced to run away.

    Season 3
You're in Wellington and you see a figure in the snow. You call out to it. But no response. It gets closer and you notice there's a hat and a long white beard with a moustache. He also had an eyepatch That godly moustache was Kenny.

"What I thought you were dead!"

"I am, this was all a dream..."

    [Hug Kenny]

  • *walkers, lurkers are so last episode

  • I think it would be just as effective if he died from something non-walker based. He could become sick due to his eye and them no longer having the assistance of Carlos. We've had suicides, mercy killing, walker bites, getting impaled, etc. but we've never really had something...normal-ish? I don't think normal is the best word but we have yet to see their living environments (aside from walkers) affecting them in extreme ways. Starvation, hypothermia, illnesses and infections..

It doesn't need to be gory and badass in order to be effective and tear-jerking. So I think Kenny succumbing to his poor health condition would be my preferred way for him to die. (Wow, that sounds awful.)

  • [Spoilers for Ep 4 achievements]

Maybe that's what the stealing meds achievement is for? Maybe you have to make a decision to steal from someone that's worse off to save Ken, or not steal and let Ken's infection fester.

Well, not as awful as getting mauled by a horde, or buried underground.

[SPOILERS FOR WALKING DEAD COMICS (ISSUE 1)/TV SHOW (SEASON 1)]

A normal-ish death would be nice. Maybe something like Jim from the comics and TV Show. Just dying at the stump of a tree in the quiet breeze.
