Let me get this straight...
The U.S military strongest military in the world I believe, versus zombies, slow re animated humans 1 bullet to the head their done however they somehow get overrun by these super slow things. This also goes for every other military in the world how do you get overrun so easily? Its like literally not like possible for them to loose seriously I dont know how its possible please someone explain cause it doesnt make sense in my mind

Possibly.....
" I dont know how its possible please someone explain cause it doesnt make sense in my mind "
Well in a state of panic, people would get each other killed and not know what to do. I'm guessing many people weren't prepared for an outbreak and the disease spread rapidly. Well there would be no drama or apocalypse if a military could simply exterminate zombies.
I guess it's safe to say that zombies are inferior to today's technology...
What if the zombies use nuclear weapons, then we are done for
Because the script demands it.
Need I continue?
The big problem is that walkers don't care about maneuver warfare, air superiority or power-projection. All of the above are the M.O of almost every modern military. The various guerrilla conflicts of the last 50 years show that the top military commanders usually resist changes to their battle plans until it's too late.
Because if people die, they become reanimated since everyone is infected, thus making it much harder to control the spread of the zombies.
They could be stockpiling them underground! The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence!
Bonus points if you get the political reference.
The U.S. Isnt the most powerful its ONE of the most powerful Russia and China will wipe their ass with U.S.
that's assuming they know what's goin on at the time of, or even before the event happens. a guy dies, accident or sumthin, maybe he's found, maybe not. he turns, attacks other people. they eventually get sick, die, and turn. eventually the police get called in to try and stop things, they aren't supposed to open fire on sight, and try to detain the undead. some will inevitably get bit, some may even be killed. depending on the severity, the cops may turn on site, on the way to receiving medical attention, or at a hospital. no1 will be expecting that they need to kill this guy with a headshot since he'll turn no matter what. he dies, people start gathering, either to save or mourn him, he turns, people are happy he's "alive" and the cycle continues. riots start, the military gets called in to help quell things. civilians try pushing through barricades and people are trampled and come back as the undead. someone holding a gun panics and opens fire, all hell breaks lose, random shots are fired to preserve the barricade, leaving a bunch of bodies ready to come back. eventually the barricades fall, from one side or another.
during this, survivors are gathered at places like churches, schools, or military facilities (if they're family). some barricade their own houses, others try to flee. some people decide they'd rather kill themselves instead of deal with what's goin on and end up turning and killing people unprepared for an inside attack. safe zones are established in places like gated communities, air ports, etc. accidents happen, or people decide they're getting in one way or another, and they destory the fence, either by smashing the main gate, or cutting through some out of the way area. that location is now compromised, and will eventually be overrun. people will be more concerned with surviving rather than working, so power will cut out unless you have generators. deliveries wont be made, so unless you grow your own food, that'll run out. water will become scarce as the treatment facilities will have shut down. etc, etc, etc.
there may be survivors with military training but the facilities themselves will be made unsafe, probably not because of the undead, but by the living.
They had no idea on what walkers are.
Who called?
Well im assuming the military had soldiers who turned too. And not like walkers are very realistic themselves, so it doesnt matter much.
You're darn right! 'Murica!
yeah and like many movies that shit is slow moving so it could be happening and people die a lot and not by head trauma so that can spike up shit, then panic people do stupid shit when scare, more accidents a more death, and again it all depends on the virus or whatever it turns people faster than others some may take a long time. but in todays world it be imo much harder to be an apocalyptic scenario caus people watching zombie movies and the show and this game would kinda know what to do. also those preppers it be hard not to cut short a lot of zombies. and then again people turn fucking crazy fast too sooo
maybe it originated in the military, plus if a shot to the head is the kill shot maybe they focus too much and dont realize the size of the infection
Yeah, it only takes one walker in the right place to irreconcilably fuck up the chain of command.
Well said. I bet hat the military could survive in slow units, but they wouldn't be able to keep the higher levels of organization.
To be honest, in the real world the Zombie Apocalypse probably wouldn't get this far. As you said, the military would probably have stopped them long ago, with all their superior technology.
China might give us a run for our money, but Russia's military isn't all it's cracked up to be. For one thing, their equipment is extremely outdated.
True but there is strength in numbers and Russia has those and one thing about Russias military that you learn from WW2 is that they just keep coming like the walkers lmfaooo.
Well think about it. They are slow, but if anyone gets a "sneaky death" like heart attack while others are sleeping, and reanimate, you already have one block of zombies. So its never that they get in, but they never sleep, never stop, until they get you. And they can ambush you not only from outside, but if one of your group dies, reanimates then gets you.. You know the rest.
True, but back in those days, the Russian were so terrified of both the Nazis and their own leader that they were willing to absorb extreme casualties. Look at a modern fight, like the Chechen Wars and you can see that's no longer the case.
True Stalin was way worst than Hitler.
Well, soviet controllers going to shoot you for retreat is another factor... It's complicated. 28M Russian dead vs. 9M German dead, the role of the winter in the war, plus Hitler being stupid enough to break the nonaggression pact. Germany had a western front, (well, the Japanese defeat did allow Zhukov to turn back to Stalingrad). The other fact is simple timing luck - Germans had the better tanks for the majority of the war, then Russia developped the IS-2s. Germany had the Tiger tank, but it was developped too late to mass produced.
But effectively, breaking the non agression pact and the march to Moscow is what really did him in. Overextended in the Russian Winter...
Well it's one of those things you just have to accept, because Zombies aren't really realistic either.
The Walking Dead is setup so that it shows what humans do with no laws etc. it would be no good if the military just rolled through and stopped it.
But if you want a real reason, it took them by surprise and by the time they could do something ti was too late.
Another factor to consider is US and British aid after Hitler invaded. They received a LOT of tanks and mobile artillery from the western allies. German tanks were top of the line for quite some time, but they were never able to field as many as Russia after their initial invasion petered out.
Also, the Battle of Britain decimated the Luftwaffe and prevented them from resupplying the Eastern Front by air. That's a big fucking problem when your troops are starving and losing appendages to frostbite.
True just imagine if it wasnt for Hitler going against Stalin the war would of gone a completely different direction because Stalin was actually willing to work with Hitler which is why he helped him invade Poland. Another secret ally that Hitler also had but kept turning Germany down was Spain god that war was a lot of luck.
I can sort of buy it -
Btw, the American military is the largest, most advanced in the world, but it is undermanned.
Skip to next paragraph if you hate political rants:
Why do you think we let our education system and wages continue to slide? So we can get poor people to sign up for decent wages and the chance for an education. Maybe it'd get better if there were a draft, but they're afraid of Vietnam and the fact people don't want to go die in bullshit wars.
The outbreak starts - people don't realize what it is, and they take wounded to the hospital. The hospitals become breeding grounds, and then there are masses of zombies in the city and the military is called in. But still, they'd be more cautious on home turf not to blow away civilians... Some get bites, then they're behind you... Heavy losses probably, but you can manage a city. If there are multiple cities (which it appears there were), that's where it gets tricky.
WRONG! because the PLOT demands it!
