Fan Fiction threads now moved to Telltale Talk - Forum Games

I've noticed that the Walking Dead forums are getting filled with fan fiction threads and/or people complaining about fan fiction threads taking focus away from actual Walking Dead story discussion.
Because of this, I have moved the most recent fan fiction threads to Telltale Talk's "Forum Games" section and am also asking that all future fan faction threads and forum contest threads be kept there. Thanks!

Threads moved to Forum Games:
The Walking Dead: Tales of Europe. [Interactive fanfiction] [Character submit open]
The Walking Dead: Angels of Death
Good idea, Blind. It definitely was needed, all we saw in TWD Forums were Fanfics like mine and countless others
Now no one can see my fanfiction and when it updates. Cant you find a way so those who dont like fanfics can 'block' them so they never see themv on the forums or updating. Of course theyll have to keep blocking each page but i think a block button would be useful.
They can check here. New forum features cannot be added so easily, and even then, I doubt the web team would add a big feature like that for something like fan fiction threads.
But they wont check. I posted part 2 of mine around 15 min ago and no one has seen it.. Yesterday i posted part 1 and got about 5 comments and 30 views by now. Also 'Forum Games' should include a lot more then fan fictions.
It already does. There were so many fan fiction threads that they blotted out the rest of discussion going on there.
Okay, can you atleast let fanfics or games that were here before this was implimented not have to go in the 'forums games' section?
For now, I'm seeing how this all plays out. I'm afraid not.
Even if that does turn out to be a problem, just post a link here in this thread. That is what this thread is meant for.
This sucks...![:( :(](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
Yeah, i understand the reason, but im not fond of it.
I don't see why people have a problem with this, I frankly enjoy it. It's better for both the stories and the game discussion.
...and people can still link to their threads or post updates on a prominent sticky thread here on the Walking Dead forums.![:) :)](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
It's better that we did this because once episode 4 comes out it would be a giant mess.
So let me see if I got this right.
Every single thread of done for my fanfiction is one of two parts for each chapter (six so far). I've made a single thread that has links to every one of them. This is how it's layed out:

I did plan on posting the entire story in one thread, but it would've looked way too long and unorganized.
I intend to release the next part this week as a thread, so I should post it in the forum games section as well as the upcoming chapters...right?
I don't know, this just seems a bit inconvenient on my part. I'll be honest, I was actually kinda surprised that mine wasn't moved.
Do you know the specific list of users who follow your fanfic? If so, you can just start a mass private discussion with them to notify them directly whenever your fanfic updates.

This decision was based off one thread which got majority downthumbs over ranting about their thread not getting enough attention so the user proposed you have to get rid of fanfics so he gets more attention really?.
It sounds great in theorie but we all know deep down this is a death sentence I once had a Vita spoiler section and they got rid of it as soon as something else came along. Look at telltale talk if you get one comment in your thread it is considered a success and that is at the end of the page. Who would even bother going on to this section even TWAU section is nearly dead only get feedback on TWD section.
I wish I had the special member power to make a thread which gets all downthumbs to change the forum to suit my own interests like that thread.
The questions comes down to WHY WHERE THE FANFICS TOP OF THE SECTION? Did that not prove with thousands of TWD questions that community wanted fanfics in that section they were also highly rated and thumbed so doesn't make sense.
R.I.P fanfics I think Mods are doing a great job just an honest opinion
If Fanfictions were always on the top of the forum, it means it was popular with users. So why to move them into a smaller, almost unnoticed section. I agree with you.
It wasn't just based off one thread. There were a couple other ones just a couple days before: Even fanfic authors were chiming in and admitting that it was becoming a problem.
Ideally, there would be a separate Forum Games/FanFic subsection for the Walking Dead, but that would require web team input and we all know how long that takes. Right now, that's this is the best solution there is. However, I agree with you that the Telltale Talk section needs to be made more visible.
Yeah, if they're going to put them in another section that is smaller. I'd like if I could easily get to it. :c
pokedme asked me beforehand if he really should make a rant thread before he did it and I didn't stop him. I don't even care anymore. When I stood up for the meme thread last time the mods wrongfully moved stuff, I only got shit for it from Saltlick and his groupies, so I won't do it anymore. Let the mods do whatever the fuck they want. Sucks for the fanfic authors, but I guess that's their problem now.
Actually, I was going to stop my Fanfiction a week before episode 4 came out. Most will stop writing and viewers won't care about fanfics durning that time. That's why there so popular in the first place, there's no information on the current next episode, and users get bored and make Fanfictions.
Hi, this is my first time replying to a mod, since i only joined a couple of weeks ago.
My only request is to put the "Forum of the Dead" back to the Walking Dead section. When i joined, LeeTheProfessional's thread was the prominent thread among all the forum users, then for some reason, a bunch of fan-fics spawned a couple of weeks later....
My point is, that i'm defending his thread because it has a certain fan following and isn't a fan-fic per se. It was one of the first on the forum and one of the most beloved one, it would be a shame to see it go away for the actions of others.
You can keep the "Forum of the Dead Lounge" in the Forum Games section if you wish, since it's mostly a bunch of friends talking about random things in that thread and if anything we can link it back on the main thread.
Thank you for your attention.
I understand why this has happened, and while I'm a little disappointed, I know it needed to. My only hope is that eventually there can be a separate section simply for fanfictions like this, perhaps in the Walking Dead board so it's more visible - so that it can please everyone, hopefully - but I know that may take time, or not be possible.
You mean like a creative section for fanart and fanfics etc etc?
Yeah! I think it'd be a very great idea and a nice way to keep this stuff 'in The Walking Dead' per se, but also clear up the main discussion board.
Thread: Fan Fictions
I just think the route to get to the forum games section is a little bit too out of the way. Maybe they could put them on the front page in their own category seperate from the rest of the walking dead forums?
btw, my fan fiction is called Episode 1: Times Once Lived.![;) ;)](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
