Realism

edited June 2014 in The Walking Dead

Name some of the most non realistic moments or events in the walking dead games. Don't have to be death related.

  1. Ill point this one out from a previous thread. The way Bonnie, Johnny, and Troy were holding and shooting the AKs when they were killing walkers at the lodge. Way too much kick on that gun
  2. Clem opening the can of beans with that knife...plenty times I went to cook and didn't have a can opener. Never was fortunate enough to open the can with a knife...especially in three pokes and turns.

  • Sam biting Clem's arm vertically and then the wound being horizontal.

    WHAT?

  • Yo the knife and can i felt they was way off lmfaoo i dont know but that scene made me feel like a bitch because i be struggling to open the damn cans with a knife and clem did it like its all good.

  • No nuclear explosions.

After society shut down and electricity being widely unavailable, wouldn't all the nuclear power plants in America alone have killed all the "survivors" before walkers could.

  • One word: "Turbine"

  • Clem threading the needle in one try. I actually shouted "bullshit" at the TV.

  • Another word: "Train"

    One word: "Turbine"

  • The needle was sharp, and the human skin isn't THAT strong.. I don't think.

  • So did I lol. If you've ever sewn anything or stitched yourself or someone else, you know that her doing that was simply not very likely.

  • No, I meant her putting the fishing wire through the eye of the needle.

The way Kenny was lying in bed after Carlos had treated his eye. he was not really lying down there.

  • OH. ok, my bad.

  • I seen enough Courage the Cowardly Dog to know how frustrating that is.

  • In one of the moments in 201, gravity malfunctioned clems bowl randomly hovers. I don't think bowls hover in real life.

  • Well, her dad was an engineer. That could play a part in why she knew how.

    One word: "Turbine"

  • I suck at doing that!

  • It took me about 14 times to get it right the last time I had to thread a needle :I

  • Kenny living through the horde of zombies in season one. I don't even think TTG know how to explain it.

  • They do know how to explain it. Remember? He got 'Lucky'

  • REAL "Lucky"

They do know how to explain it. Remember? He got 'Lucky'

  • Well, if Kirkman can get away with it, then I guess Telltale can too.

  • Its not impossible...you could just manuever between the walkers and push them aside, hit the ones that come to close...after finding out Kenny was alive in season 2 and i replayed season 1 i looked closely at what happened at the alleyway/what happens when Kenny saves Christa and it seems much more clear now that he just took off...

    REAL "Lucky"

  • You don't go to Kirkman for examples of good writing.

Well, if Kirkman can get away with it, then I guess Telltale can too.

  • I never said his writing was good. I'm just saying that I find it odd that people still question how Kenny survived when Tyreese went through the same thing.

  • I have an issue with how everyone just seems to have infinite ammo. Like the shotgun in Crawford, Lee shoots that thing like 20 times without reloading.

It especially annoyed me how at the ski lodge, Carlos says they have barely have any ammo left... and then they proceed to fire off infinite bullets. Without reloading. What.

  • ive done it in one try, like 5 times out of 100

  • I guess Tyreese was an under-developed enough character for the people to not care. Certainly worked that way for me.

  • goddamn itsa game. people bitched at R* cuz it was "too realistic" now, its too unrealistic. guest what movies many entertainment shit is unrealistic, that's why their games. who cares

  • Lol TT knows its bullshit. Why didn't Kenny meet back up with the group at the train or in the country, or better yet go to the Marsh House?

  • Naw but it would make all cities with nuclear power plants like Pripyat,Ukraine

  • There was actually a theory that the stranger found Kenny and locked him in the adjoining room
    "I got us adjoining rooms"
But even if the theory isn't true how is that bullshit? Avoiding walkers seems pretty easy and he didn't go to the marsh house because he was all alone and depressed which explains how sarita found him

  • Carlos can't telling different types of bites and asking about the house "How big is it?"

    Really Carlos?

  • I just don't understand how does that walker can stay still without making any noise and made a perfect ambush.I guess he just goes "Hrrrarrrghh... I'm gonna put this walkie talkie here and hide around this garbage, and chomp the first sonuvabitch that I can reach,brwaghahahahaha..."

  • I'm not usually one to gripe about realism in this game, but Clementine chopping Sarita's arm off in two swings was a pretty mighty feat for an 11 year old.

  • That's a common thing in the TV series' season 2, either stealthy zombies are a thing or the writers and producers were taking hardcore drugs while filming, we all know who to blame for that...

  • I think Carlos was bullshitting about the bite because he wasn't sure whether Clem was a spy for Carver or not. But that's just my theory.
