Pinball art - Why no Lilly?
Before you launch the saltlicks at me for even daring to talk positively about Lilly, hear me out.
I know this seems like a really stupid thing to ponder... and that is because it quite honestly is a really stupid thing to ponder, yes. Whether you like or loathe her, Lilly did play a relatively bigger role in the episodes 1 to 3 of Walking Dead Season 1 than Carley/Doug (no disrespect for the two, just talking from the plot progression standpoint), would it not have been more sensible to include Lilly in the art?
Myeah. Sorry, I suppose this is a bit of a minor gripe, but it still bothers me. They are not trying to make us forget about her... right? Boy would it be a pity, yet another unfinished story being pushed to the side in favor of badass Kenny's adventures.
That said, I am probably going to regret asking... What do you think? Why was she not included? Could it be a popularity issue? Is Lilly considered an antagonist? Are they trying to sneak her out of our minds? Or is it just a petty because she killed Carley thing?
...Please come out, Episode 4, I need more things to overanalyze than... pinball artwork.

Lilly actually is there, she's just... very small and very hidden. She's right above Duck, if I recall correctly.
But yeah... that bothered me too. I like Lilly. Considering the fact this is focused around Season 1, she definitely deserved to be more featured.
As to why they did it... pandering to Kenny fanboys, probably. I like Kenny as much as the next guy, so I'm not trying to sound bitter or put him down. But that's really probably the reason for it.
Well, her story wasn't originally intended to be unfinished. Kirkman just sorta stepped in and made that happen.
And she is there, just...off to the side...behind Duck....the kid who's only purpose was to die and drive Kenny over the edge.
I don't know. Maybe they thought that presenting her upfront with all the other characters would cause some sort of subconscious negativity towards the game.
Huh. Well would you look at that, I somehow missed that.
Indeed, it is a pity how much Kenny has been sapping attention from the other characters lately. Episode 3 was uncomfortably focused on feeding Kenny badass points in particular. Even worse, all of it is railroaded and as such the player is unable to influence them. How predictable.
Hopefully Episode 4 puts the emphasis back on the actual Season 2 characters. Hopefully, hopefully. Wishful thinking.
I ain't mad at you but I dunno, saltlick launching is pretty fun!
Kirkman had something to do with TWDG Lilly's destiny? could you please give me source on that?
I meant that Lilly's story was originally supposed to lead into the story of a character in the comics who was also named Lilly. They were supposed to be the same character, with the game establishing the backstory of the comic character. But Kirkman decided to retcon that and write a separate backstory for the comic Lilly in The Road to Woodbuy. So now a character whose story was originally supposed to be finished in the comics is left hanging in the wind, with no solid resolution as to her fate.
She was actually originally supposed to be Lilly from the comics, but then Kirkman wrote a book called The Road to Woodbury, which told a completely different story than Lilly from the game. One of the achievements was originally called Woodbury Ho, to signify Lilly going to Woodbury, though that was later changed.
'Cause fuck Lilly.
Because nobody fucking gives a shit about that motherfucking piece of fucking shit.
Doug had like 10 lines in whole season 1 and he still got a bigger picture.. just a shame that they put such an important character as Lilly in the background..
