Too many characters?

I was just wondering if you guys thought that there are too many major characters? We have the whole cabin group, Mike and Jane, what seems like a new group at Parker's Run, and people are saying that they want Tavia, the 400 days characters, Nick to be more prominent, and S1 characters to return, like Molly, Christa, and Lilly. I mean, more characters aren't necessarily a bad thing, but with how concerned everyone is with Character development/connecting with characters that we have already had for 3 episodes, it doesn't seem like the best idea to me. Opinions?

  • That's pretty much why I miss the hubs and just the way we got to have conversations not always about the task at hand. If we still had them, we would get to ask questions like where they came from, how they're actually feeling about this person or that person, etc.

But that being said, I predict a lot of people dying next episode so the number of our cast will decrease. Hopefully, if there's still a couple people left by the end of episode five, this group along with Clementine can be followed into season three (assuming we get a season three).

Well the immediate group (not including everyone that was still at the compound) isn't THAT big, I don't think there's any more than there were at the motel in season 1. But if you count everyone you mentioned in the post, that would be a lot, but remember that Telltale likes to constantly kill characters off.

As for character development, I just hope they have more hubs/interaction I guess. I want to have some one on one communication with Jane specifically cause she's kind of shady lol

This season has been very light on that up to this point, too. I don't know about you, but while Ken and I could reminisce of still fight over shit that had happened a couple of episodes back, I feel Clem has had little of that. I am afraid they won't put those kinds of moments in, even as the season nears its final act. I said in another place and I say it again here: The finale is made only as powerful as the journey has been.

  • deal with it.

  • Alot of people are going to die..

  • If your talking about fan-fics then yeah. XD

  • Well actually in the group there is Clem, Sarah, Rebecca, Sarita, Luke, Kenny, Mike, Jane and Nick. So 9 people.

But in EP4, I think a lot of them are going to die ( most likely Sarita, Rebecca, Sarah maybe, Mike or Jane ) so... yeah, the group is big but I think in the end of this season, just 3 or more (determinant) will remain.

Anyway, before the end of this season I am pretty sure we will meet Eddie or Nate but will they join the group?

  • And the beginning of Starved for Help gave us 10 people!

He's a one of a kind character, you don't see someone like him in the apocalypse.

If he dies, i'll just.. "cease to function".

If they DO end up killing him, I wanna at least know more about him beforehand (more interaction). But I don't think he's gonna die in episode 4

  • You really think they are going to live in the next two episodes? You know how TWD likes to do it, kill them most of the people in the last two episodes. The only person i see making it is Clem. I would like to See Sarah and Nick make it as well, but i don't see that happening.

  • I keep going back and forth on whether they'll keep Luke or not. I'm trying not to get my hopes up because TTG isn't scared of killing off anybody but it has to mean something that his character arc isn't done yet, right? They've been building up a Kenny/Luke thing of SOME SORT and we have yet to see it hit its climax. Plus, Clementine's only eleven years old. She's tough and a complete badass but she's still only eleven and needs that guidance. Luke seems like an older-brother type. PLEASE LET THEM END THE SEASON TOGETHER WITH A FEW OTHER PEOPLE. PLEASE.

Ugh, this literally stresses me out, just thinking about it.

  • Yeah, I agree. Luke is the older-brother type of figure, and Kenny is more of the uncle type. Kind of like how in the book "The Walking Dead: The Rise of The Governor" Phillip is the governor, and Brian is his younger brother. Phillip's daughter is treated by Brian like Clem is with Kenny. So, kinda like that.

  • Yeah. I kinda dislike The Walking Dead Concept (Series and Game) for that at Times. When you start to come comfortable with New Faces as an established Part they just throwing more in. At least many just for being cannon fodder. As cynical as it may sounds.
