Countryside, small town, or boat

What option did you guys choose when making plans with the group after the boat theft?

Omid agreed with finding a small town, in which Lee says Clementine should be there when civilization rebuilds.

Omid and Christa agree with going to the countryside. Lee says he is done with coasts and boats, and to just take Clem and make a go of it, which is basically what Christa does with her later on.

Kenny agrees with finding another boat, saying he can't go out there again. Lee says that a suicidal mission for a boat would be better than dying alone on the mainland. Omid reminds everyone that Clem is the priority.

So what plans did you (try to) make and why?

Small town is the best idea imo.

    Or you know, a

    Hardware Store

  • BOAT.

  • countryside, boat idea just doesn't work and it has less people than a small town would.

  • I said countryside.

If it were irl, I'd head for mountains or up north. If you're camped on a mountain, you get a good view and you're at an advantage on higher ground, above any zombies that are climbing up - you can hit them on the head before they can reach for you. Furthermore, zombies wouldn't climb very well and wouldn't have very good footing so they would be likely to slip and tumble down the mountain while trying to climb it. As for food, small mountains usually have forests up their sides and small animals and berries. You could also eat the nuts from pinecones.

Up north where it's colder (I'm thinking like Alaska, Nunavut, Yukon), there would be way fewer zombies and what zombies got there would probably get frozen in spot or stuck in snow or something. You can see for a long distance, which avoids sneak attacks, and you can melt snow for water and eat fish.

  • I told them to go for a small town. I wasn't sure they'd be able to survive on their own indefinitely in the countryside, and after the boat was taken it was pretty much suicide to stay on the coast. A small town seemed to be a good place if people were rebuilding as there would be safety in numbers and the added benefits of beginning to rebuild civilization (on a very small scale, of course).

  • Less people is important. Walkers are manageable but people can really mess with you.

  • Small town. Also, I see you described the version of that conversation if you don't have Ben. Tssk tssk.

  • I supported the boat plan the entire game, but at that point it was nearly suicide. I guess Kenny thought so too since he didn't linger in Savannah to become boatmaster. I think by the end of the game a boat was Kenny's excuse to postpone starting over in the country.

  • Think about it; lots of land, fresh water, and cold-ass winters so the walkers get slow!

Yeah, because that worked SOOO well :P

  • Omid, Kenny, and Ben walk off, and you have this conversation privately with Christa. She doesn't like anything except the countryside plan.

  • The boat plan and only because Kenny was with me. He's a experienced fisherman, he knows his shit and there's a reason why people left the town on their boats and why Vernom stole it. It was a good plan, but being in the water wasn't enough for someone without prior knowledge. I think Kenny would've managed just fine, fishing to his heart content and living like he used to.

  • Sounds like Bullshit.

  • Listen vanilla ice,I don't know what your deal is,but you're more than welcome to take off in the morning!

  • That's true, Kenny is a capable guy and fishing is his specialty. I wish we all could have sailed away and forgotten our troubles.

Countryside, they weren't in good shape to do anything then.

  • Well that'd be just fine by me.

  • The countryside would be the safest bet, but god I hate the country. Cities look so nice, even in a post apocalyptic setting (Actually they might even look better all torn up and shit) but safety is the number 1 priority in this scenario. A small town shouldn't be too bad, just as long as the population was initially small and not many humans come through, then it should be fairly safe to barricade and will have plenty of supplies.

  • What's the deal with these people!e Clem!?

Well that'd be just fine by me.

  • Just calm down! Please!

What's the deal with these people!e Clem!?

  • Of course boat. MORE BOATS FOR BOAT GOD!
