10 minutes of misogynistic dialogue AND using a walker to attack Russell AND ruthlessly killing a defenseless old couple who he robbed and s… morehot earlier AND attacking Eddie and Wyatt. It's obvious to me he's a psychopath. Besides, your argument is that 10 minutes wasn't enough time for us to decide he was a bad guy but it was enough time for you to decide he was just like you? Just saying.
Look, George, I understand your opinion and I'm totally okay with it, But Everyone is welcome here, Despite our arguments, Even you are welcome. So don't start dictating others.
Care about them and then they'll all die.
So it's better to not care about them?
Camp group introduction was unique
Wh… moreat camp group? I only know 4 people who were part of the camp with names and played a role in the ep.
And It's all setting up for Ep5 Choice.
If it doesn't set up for the ep 5 choice?
With such a small budget with a brand of millions of fans even if they made The walking dead survival instinct with that small budget there … moreguaranteed big profit in my opinion especially the fact they also released it across all platforms maximizing the profit even more
Here comes some controversial opinions:
* Though I do not hate them I find both Kenny and Carley overrated, but for different reasons a… morend in different situations. In contrast, I feel that Katjaa and Doug are underrated.
* I happen to side with Lilly more than Kenny, and even with the Carley/Doug/RV incident, I do not hate her.
* I don't hate Becca and never saw her as annoying or detestable.
* I feel that Christa got unfairly tossed aside in Season 2 in favour for more Kenny screentime.
* I feel that the possibility that we'll be having a Kenny VS Luke event in the future is cliché and a rehash of Kenny VS Lilly of Season 1, especially since that we all know that Telltale will chose Kenny in the end regardless of who we choose. I'd prefer if Kenny and Luke got along instead of being enemies.
I liked Lilly and felt bad for her. I don't think the narrative did her justice--the plot was written against her, as if the writers wanted … moreus to favor Kenny over her. It wasn't a proper balance.
I'd be happy to see her return, and if she did I would hope she gets a better portrayal.
I like Carver. Not as a person, of course, but I think he was an interesting character. I feared him, but at the same time I adored him. Too… more bad Telltale wasted his potential as an awesome villian. I also didn't stay to watch his death, but that has nothing to do with my sympathy for him.
* Not sure how unpopular this decision is/isn't, but I didn't hesitate to loot the station wagon in 102. I mean, I'm supposed to let my sta… morerving group pass on a stockpile of supplies because I might or might not be stealing from another group? Anybody dumb enough to leave their supplies completel unguarded had it coming eventually (which I guess means I cna't be made when Vernon jacked my boat, since I didn't leave anyone to defend it).
* Also in 102, I knew that killing Larry was the right call. Does anyone remember his heart attack in the first episode? He barely survived that, and he actually had a relatively safe place to lie low until he got medicine. In this case, he has no medicine, is in the middle of a very stressful situation, and there's no way we kill him once he reanimates. Even if he wasn't dead then (which I think he was), how long do you think he'll last in that state?
* I didn't stick around ot watch Carver die; I… [view original content]
This reminds me of an interview with Telltale talking about how everyone hated Larry at the end of S1E1. The online world was calling for hi… mores head.. But when S1E2 came out, the majority tried to help Lilly save Larry. Same with Ben, so many talked shit wanting him dead but most saved him at the bell tower. Kinda funny how people will talk, but when the situation is in their face, they switch.
-I wouldn't mind if Kenny got killed off in the near future. (bring the hate)
-I prefer Doug over Carley (story wise)
-I don't hate Becca, Lily or anyone else, really.
-Until the Ep. 3 trailer, I thought Carver was still redeemable.
The DLC was an addition to make you feel more connected to the story.
Duck wasn't my favorite, But i didn't hate him.
I was desperate to get Lee out of Ep5 Alive. SO I cut it off, But he didn't.
Watching someone who made you suffer a big deal gets his head smashed isn't bloodthirsty. And to me, It wasn't about revenge, I wanted to finish him off myself.
I didn't care about any of the DLC characters, and I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would. And I hated Nate. I'm pretty sure… more he's a rapist.
I didn't hate Duck. He was just "dumb as a bag of hammers." Wasn't his fault. He was just born that way.
I didn't cut Lee's arm off. I wasn't sure it would work and I didn't want Lee to suffer.
I didn't watch Carver die. I just had absolutely no desire to. And I honestly feel like everyone who did watch is a bloodthirsty monster....No offense to any of you. Just saying.
You're not, My friend. It's a valid point because of his rash actions, He actually deserved it. However, I saved him. i believe everyone could be useful in the apocalypse and help me somehow. Not because i like him.
Well here's mine.
I think it's so far better (In terms of story) for Nick to die in Episode 2.
Then again I might just be in denial. Because Nick is dead in my playthrough.
Honestly, you could have had a bit of character development while walking to the mountains, or a little more at the ski resort, or while sit… moreting around in the prison.
But I generally feel these few episodes have tried to give off a feeling of not being in control of things happening,
Like being trapped, but its on thing after another in this series, when are you really going to have heart to hearts with people when they don't trust you as far as they can throw you, then... the whole nick and Pete thing, then carver and being on the run from the, then meeting Kenny, then being taken back as prisoners to carvers camp.
Where in all that do you see an opening to get down a gritty into the back stories of the cabin group.
Yes, there could have been openings for this, but its mot exactly the right time considering the more important things.
There have been some good moments to connect with the characters, Luke and Pete, going to the river… [view original content]
No one is a close character by your logic. And we had 3 episodes to actually know them. 3 full episodes that featured them. For a story based game it sure isn't doing a whole lot to get me to care about the cast.
So it's better to not care about them?
No. It's not about caring, It's about that you don't even know them yet. Not everyone is supp… moreosed to be a close character.
If it doesn't set up for the ep 5 choice?
Then I'd be massively disappointed.
Carley was close to me. Ben was. :P So was Molly. Jane is close to me. Many characters were and still are, It's just the setting of the season that wanted you to feel like you're not in control, You're not Lee, You've to make your way through. And Ep5 Will prove it.

I doubt that because you're not in control means that no characters should be developed or made interesting and that they should be unlikable or not cared for at all.
I could name over 10 characters that I currently don't care about no matter how hard I try because the game never gives them any time to let us care about them.

Still, it summed up how i feel about many things. I get into too much little details and fail to deliver the big picture. You've succeeded where i failed.
i save shawn mostly because i figured kenny or Katjaa would save duck if anything and what would hershel be able to do? i thought lee had better chances to save him i was sad to see him die i thought he would be able to stay in the story
i save shawn mostly because i figured kenny or Katjaa would save duck if anything and what would hershel be able to do? also kenny and katjaa first impression where to be that they would take care of their son

Doesn't matter how much you like or dislike a kid. You save the children before you save the adults.
I think that's kind of a western per… morespective on things, but its thoroughly ingrained in me. The choice was obvious for me the moment it presented itself, regardless of whether Duck was annoying.
i save shawn mostly because i figured kenny or Katjaa would save duck if anything and what would hershel be able to do? i thought lee had better chances to save him i was sad to see him die i thought he would be able to stay in the story
larry was meant ot be hatted thats why i didnt care for him as a character much like how omid was suppose ot be likabvle you where also suppose to hate larry but he didnt get enough time in my opnnion and had no redemable qualities but i still like ben he was a good screw up not always likeable but he still had more of a character
I actually really liked Ben as a character.
Yeah, he screwed up a lot (and indirectly caused the death of Kenny's family), but I still th… moreought that because he was so awkward, he was hilarious. It was a good addition to the game to add a cowardice, nervous teenager who acted the complete opposite from how Lee, Kenny, Christa, etc. handled everything. He was insecure and struggling with the fact that, yes, he knows he's considered deadweight.
I just felt really bad for him.
i save shawn mostly because i figured kenny or Katjaa would save duck if anything and what would hershel be able to do? also kenny and katjaa first impression where to be that they would take care of their son
ya also i found duck somewhat annoying and just clear comic relief but when he was dick grayson i just loved him im just saying if he was a real kid i would so babysit him or be bros! when he died i was heart broken..but i did notice he almost died a lot of times....
If you read that correctly, then you know I'm not telling you to not give rats arse
There's been plenty of moments to make you care about the cabin group .
1. Pete helps you, he's one of the first to try and help you.
2. Alvin also tries to help, but... Rebecca is pregnant and you do not argue with a pregnant woman, it's the unwritten rule.
Alvin also helps you, he gets you bandages and a bloody juice box , he did it secretly because his wife's hormones are all over and be doesn't want to argue with her. So he cares. That's enough for me to respect Alvin. He went against the group to help you.
3. Fair enough Rebecca is a bit harsh to begin with, but remember, she has an unborn child to look out for, her mothering instincts will be kicking in. Plus she has carver after her, wanting her child , his or not. Would you really want your child to be raised by him to be like him? The world is messed up as it is.
4. Luke, we still don't know much about him, but he did help you when you first met, he is going to not believe you at firs because your child, with a bite on your arm. They're being cautious, they don't want anymore people to get torn apart. Then he's jelouse of Kenny, also shows he's got a soft heart. He felt like he was bonding with you and now an old friend has appeared , he obviously thinks you'll leave them over him. Shows he cares. If he didn't care he wouldn't walk for days to find you and try and help you escape the prison.
5. Depending on who you go with at the end if episode 1, you have a heart to heart, Pete and nick. You didn't out more about them . What Pete did for nick and what nick did to his mum.
6. Sarah I feel sorry for, she's been hidden from it all for too long and it shows. Her dad wants to protect her for all the crap, so she doesn't have to be like Clem. Carlos want the best for his child , as does Rebecca, probably why they are cold at the begining. But once they realise you are no threat, they warm up to you.
Iv probably forgotten some stuff. Bu this? This isn't good enough for you ?
Sometimes you have to read between the lines, because nothing in situations like this , is going to be easy.
Especially meeting new people. How long have we known the cabin group now ? Probably a week of two
How long did we know the characters before?
You can't expect the same level of character development in a couple of week than you can do in months.
There have been plenty of moments for you to decide if you trust a character or not and bond with them as Clem.
Telltale know what they are doing, they are professionals. If you think you can do a better job ? Go ahead , we will see how far you get.
You can not complain about this when the season isn't over yet. We have two episodes left, who knows what will happen .
There have obviously been moments to know the characters a little but everything is still fresh, you have JUST met these people . You are now playing a child, things WILL be different. You are not lee anymore, holding lots of power in decisions and getting things out of people, and have know the motel group for month, you will obviously know them more than people you've known for a week.
Things are different because of who you play and how long you've known them and the current string if events.
As Sarita said "everything needs a little coaxing these days"
People aren't going to be willing to get too close to someone they've just met , incase they die or back stab them.
Once this season is over them judge it. But until then, you have no idea what will happen.
So you're saying it's okay for me to not give two shits about the characters and for a bunch of the characters to be a bunch of cardboard cu… moretouts of actual personalities. I don't need to know about their entire fucking life story but give me a reason to fucking care about these guys we've been stuck with for 3 episodes already. How many characters do I care about now? Kenny and Nick. Why? Because they were actually developed and are more interesting characters than everyone else.
I know more about Chet from season 1 than I do about most of the Cabin Crew.
I somewhat like Becca and find her fairly relatable. I don't know why people say she should die because she's mean to Sarah. But there are appretiation threads for Nate/Larry? And so what!? It's her own opinion!!
I didn't side with Lilly or Kenny really in season one, I tried to stay neutral.
I didn't cut Saritas arm because I'm hoping there will be more time to amputate in episode 4.
I didn't hate Becca as well. I didn't come across the situation with Sarah and Becca because I have played 400 days after Season 2. But I'm pretty sure It won't change my mind because I don't like Sarah.
Me too.
But she was bit. The arm needs to be cut off quickly.

Lee's a murderer, too. Having sympathy for someone who also made a rash decisions in the heat of a moment seems like the only right thing for Lee to do, in my eyes. Otherwise he'd just be a hypocrite.

Yes. Agreed. But he dies anyway.
Maybe you're right. Maybe you're not. We don't have enough evidence to say which is true.
Some valid opinions. I can't say i agree with most of them.
I respect your opinion 100%, But how can you forgive her after killing Carley/Doug?
I don't think Carver was wasted. But I think what you're saying is a very popular opinion.
The community was split on that one.
I agree with you and it's an unpopular one.
I can't recall the percentage, But i disagree. However, To each their own.
jk yeah that's what makes debates so much fun
LOL!
Seriously, I can't stop laughing right now. xD But i guess you're right.
Blind Idealism. That's what's called.
Tell me, Why do you prefer Doug? "Out of curiosity"

I don't blame people for not reading, if I saw something that long, 90% of the time I scroll past it

You have posted this comment three times on this thread. Maybe you should edit them, So i don't have to flag them.
