I know they said choices will matter hut it seems to be all just different replies to your dialogue, and of course the 400 days stuff. The 400 days thing seemed so cool, but so far to me it has resulted in a let down.
Yes, even though i am enjoying the game and general story, this is the one thing i have been let down by:
I feel as though there is not enough dialogue referring to Season 1, i was hoping Clem and Kenny talk a lot more about Lee and past characters, just little things like "Clem remember back at the St John's such and such happened and Lee did this and that", just something to remind us or at least so they refer to a choice Lee made depending on your story.
I have 2 saves from Season 1, nice Lee and asshole Lee. Yet no matter what, even if Kenny hated Lee in my save, in Season 2 he still refers to him as "A hell of a guy". I was hoping he would refer to Lee with distaste or in a positive way if you were best buddies. It's like with Season 2 now, in ep1 in one of my saves i refused to be Sarah's friend and yet no matter what, our choices are the same in the following eps, Carlos and Rebecca make a u-turn in personality from Ep1. The main thing im getting bothered about is seeing so many "?____will remember that" and yet whatever we say, the characters don't remember or refer to what they remember. For example, not sitting with Kenny at the table in ep2, it says he will remember that but so far he has not mentioned it and i'm not betting he will either.
Also Nick if he died in Ep2, Luke who is supposed to be close to Nick, doesn't even mention him once in Ep3.
Sorry for the rant but these are just a few things i've been sad about in Season 2. Don't get me wrong though, it's still great, just not as good as Season 1 in my opinion
I don't think he will mention that incident specifically but I think the more you side with the cabin group and Luke, the more impact it will have on your relationship with him in the future. I'm predicting a moment similar to S1 where Kenny decided whether or not to join you on your rescue mission for Clementine depending on how you treated him in the past. Maybe there will be a moment where all the little things add up to one big moment?
That was poor writing on TTG's part. Hopefully we'll get an actual reaction from him in Nick's later death scenes for those who kept him alive.

Definetly. Even though WE ARE Clementine in this season, sometimes I want to see Clem's automatic responses in serious situations depending on how we played as Lee. For example; Carver's death scene. My Lee spared St. John's. I thought Clementine will not watch that because even Lee didn't kill them. Another example; Lee's last moments. I told her to not to trust anyone. That made me think that; "Season 2 will start differently depending on that dialogue choice." But sadly, no impact. She's still ended up being with Omid and Christa.
for the most part the only real effect season 1 has had would be minor references to people, and talking about past events. nothing has had any real impact. only thing i could see that's been said or used that could have any impact at all is clem's gun lesson, if she tells sarah "if it's a walker, aim for the head..." i forget the rest of that bit, but it's really the only thing referenced that's conditional on season 1 that could possibly change something. we still haven't seen any attempts to grab her hair, and the whole "stay away from cities" thing will ring rather hollow if its mentioned after the fact.
i could see christa getting a determinant reaction based on if lee said he'd rather clem be with her and omid or kenny, but, aside from that, i can't think of anything else that could have carried over that could change some possible outcomes.
Do you know what Christa and Omid say if you choose Kenny to watch over her when he's gone? I've always picked Christa and Omid to look after her, so I've never gotten to hear the other responses.
the first time, they take it more as lee's "dieing wish" to see that kenny and clem are together, after the thing with ben (i save him every time, just couldn't bring myself to let go...) or christa, there's that rethinking moment. they're not offended if you chose kenny over them the first time, lee and kenny had been together longer so they agree to what you ask. i think i always ended up saying clem could stay with them the second time. been awhile since i played that ep.
from my perspective, choosin kenny the first time kinda makes sayin clem would love bein with them after kenny "dies" feel like i just announced they were the runners up, but their reaction doesn't change from if u had chosen them over kenny the first time. suppose it was a missed opportunity, or they didn't wanna make it seem too harsh, since lee was dieing.
