When do you think Clem will drop her first 'F' Bomb?

I predict it will happen in Episode 5 IF either Kenny or Christa die she will just yell the 'f' word as if there is no hope.

Although I thought she would say it to Carver so I'll probably be wrong.

Any thoughts?

  • I don't know when, but I will probably laugh my ass off..

  • Yeah it'd be shocking and pretty funny.

  • I hope she doesn't, it is one of the reasons why i didn't like the last of us. So much cursing in that game it is just stupid. Don't break a working model #1 rule of business.

  • I kind of hope never. Like Hershel from the comic. I remember this really funny scene where he was in the garden with his son Billy and it was summer and Billy said: "feels like hell" to which Hershel replied. "Aint no son of mine is going to joke about the hellfires, you hear me boy?" anyway, I prefer if she doesn't ever say it. I've kept her swearing to a minimum in my canon playthrough, because I don't see Clem as the type of person who does that.

  • Well she already did use the word with "s"...so I think it's gonna be SOON... :D :D :D

  • Just for her to say it once or twice in an important scene would be ok, but I definitely DO NOT want her swearing like Ellie.

    I loved it when she said that... it's good to know that she has a good definition set of right from wrong.

  • When Kenny rages at her about Sarita.

  • I'd kind of like it as an option at some point. The thing that I like about cursing is that it carries weight. Depending on the context, it could make for a pretty powerful line from Clem.

  • I don't think Clem will ever say it since she's not the cussing type. It would be funny, though, if Sarah would happily ask about the word.

  • If she drops one it will probably be A.) In a moment of complete shock/terror or B. as an option in the middle of a Luke/Kenny fight. Either way, they should both be dependent on player choice.

  • Oh god... Ellie... jesus christ... that is one of the reasons I didn't like Ellie.

    Clementine doesn't like swearing that much so swearing off her own back would be out of character, maybe we could get the chance for Clem to say the f bomb in a dialogue choice if something really bad happens.

  • Imagine if we'd have a choice :
    A= Fuck!
    B= Shit!
    C= Damn it!
    D= ...
    And then when the choices come up it would be like this :
    You and 95% of the players said fuck!

  • When she hits puberty.

    "Kenny you never let me do anything! Fuck you, Luke understands me so much better."

    No i am not referring to Cluke. Go away.

    That's what made Ellie great for me she didn't play a stereotypical perfect girl role like in every game but behaved like a normal teenager in them circumstances making her more relate-able and realistic to me

  • Yeah, absolutely. I can understand if someone just doesn't like her, but you got to admit that the character is really good.

    I'm pretty sure it will happen eventually. Will I have a problem with it? No, I won't. Still, I want that option to be determinant since I believe we will get a lot of threads saying :"ZOMG, Clem dropped the "f" bomb! It's not like she has been through hell,witnessed almost everyone around her die,bashed walker skulls and watched a guy getting his face rearranged with a crowbar(determinant)".

    Anyway, under no circumstance I would want her to swear even half as much as Ellie....

  • It's funny that i was actually thinking this yesterday.. I figured if Clem ever said F*** it would be in a moment of shock/terror or unless we as players get the option, I think most people will just to have her say it!

  • She said shit multiple times, she said ass hole and screw you.

    So it might not be that long before she says it. Maybe at a moment were she almost gets bitten and it slips.

    What was good about it? She was just like every other angry teen. I heard enough squeakers swearing playing Xbox live to grow completely numb, just not interested.

  • If you describe Ellie as an "angry teen" and can't see anything else in her except swearing, I must say that I don't what to say to change your mind, because I don't even recognize the character you're talking about. Have you even played the game?

    She swore in the barn when Duck asked about the smell because she heard me say "shit" in the 1st episode. The look Kat gave me was pretty great :)

  • Wellington will be all fancy and shit and she'll be all 'fuck your couch, buy another one you rich motherfucker.'

  • When she meets Kenny, she can say "holy shit" and if Lee sweared to her in the barn, she'll say "shit" when she drops the bottle in EP1. The "F" word is coming...

  • I laughed a bit when she said "dang it" in ep3. I guess she won't say any bad word.

  • okay then the other word with "S"...

    "When do you think Clem will drop her first 'F' Bomb?"

    Telltale: Now Clementine, you have to decide between pizza and ice cream, but, you can only have one.

    Clem: What!? After all the hell I went through, THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME!? Screw you mother-

    (cuts to credits as Anadel's song 'Yooou, said your first F boooomb. But yooou, still didn't pick the pizzaaaaa' plays.)

    To be honest, I don't see Clementine seeing the F word, not until she's older. It just seems too strong a word for her character to be saying. Sure she'd say it maybe in a few years, but Clem's no Ellie.

    I'm going to go on a long shot here, but I bet she'll say it reciting a poem. Hey it worked for the Sopranos... Then again, they already say 'fuck' every other word...

    lol the feel on the forum when you like TLOU ^

    I think Ellie is a better written character then Clem. Clems character in S1 was designed not to talk much to connect more with her character but I would chose Ellie everytime but still love Clem's character. Ellie is the best portrayal of a female character I have ever seen so cool and badass. But Clem is close
