I sort of like Becca too, but as a character. I like how she talks like a tough person on the outside, but becomes humble when things actually get serious. If she and Clem were to get into a fight, she'd probably start it, but would be cowering and begging for Clem to stop if it turned physical.
Some people only communicate their opinion on Becca (much like Lilly) through love/hate. She's an insecure girl with a slight superiority complex. She's no threat to Clementine, she's literally a brat. And I'd bet a pretty penny she's a good person underneath all her sassy remarks and bitchy quips.
Theres plenty of reasons she wants to wander around, it could be to prove to adults she's not a useless child and is fine around walkers, bo… moreredom or an act of rebellion against Shel who is trying to shelter her just like Carlos did to Sarah.
I think she does it just to be a cool angsty rebellious teen who don't play by no rules.
