Do you trust Jane or not

Jane is a very mysterious person, we don't know if she is on the group's side or is looking out for her survival. I don't personally trust her because of her last line in the preview of episode of the walking dead season 2, she just doesn't seem to give two poop about the group. But she does seem to respect Clem for her bravery and survival skills. Anyway, this is my second discussion and all I want is respect for others. Please we all have our own opinions and this is only a discussion, okay.

  • Not at all... Who know's how long Clem has before Jane decides to abandon her. Quoting from Carver sacrificing one to save many. It's part of survival. I don't trust her with Clem.

  • It depends. If Luke dies, then off with Jane we go. As long as Luke lives, I'm with the group. I trust her and I like her, but Luke is #1 priority.

  • To be honest, she reminds me a bit of Carver. Just to the extent that Jane and Carver both think of Clementine as someone who could lead a group/survive by herself.

  • Nah. She seems like the type of person who would bail on the group if need be, so no.

  • She seems more concerned with her own survival than anything, so I wouldn't trust my life in her hands.

No. The way she took advantage of Troy then shot him in the crotch out of spite makes her seem very untrustworthy. We still barely know anything about her. Like why was she sneaking around Carver's camp and is alone? It's like she has her own "goals" and doesn't care about anyone else.

  • I trust her more than I did Reggie. But I didn't trust Reggie all that much.

  • It seems like she's only interested in Clementine because everyone else in the group has something wrong with them or she doesn't like them:

    Kenny - one eyed

    Luke - exhaustion

    Nick - depression

    Sarah - depression/sheltered

    Rebecca - pregnant

    Sarita - bitten/one arm

Bonnie - worked for Carver, the guy who imprisoned her

Mike - probably one of the few people she likes.

That's why I refer to Jane as 'Crawford Incarnate' - it seems like she'll abandon anyone that could possibly drag her down.

  • Yup. Don't know why but i completely do.

  • The last person who trusted her got his dick shot off. So no. I don't trust her.

  • I trust her. But I see a lot of Michonne in her for some reason. She's Michonne without the sword.

  • I trust her. She knows what she's doing..

  • Wow, you got a nice pic :)

She seems more concerned with her own survival than anything, so I wouldn't trust my life in her hands.

  • Hope you don't end up regretting that.

Yup. Don't know why but i completely do.

  • Clouded by the dark side Jane is.

  • I trust Jane. I think Clem will break her exterior shell and actually convert her into a caring person.

  • Look at my Gravatar and then You'll have a clue about the answer.

  • i trust her because she really hasn't shown anything that would lead to distrust, i'd say the only negative is that she is a survivor that looks out only for themselves and shuts out the weaker people.

  • I'll hold you to that lol

  • Jane is soooo me if the ZA happens. Ever since The scene where she talked to Troy and then gave him the most painful death ever, I knew for certain that she's me.

  • I hope it happens, I really like Jane's character.

I'll hold you to that lol

  • Wouldn't wanna mess with you then lol

  • I may be wrong, but I think she may be Molly's sister. She reminds me so much of her (she's not as funny as Molly though, lol).

  • LOL! xD No, I'm cool around here, I just meant me in the apocalypse.

Wouldn't wanna mess with you then lol

  • Molly's sister died.

Clouded by the dark side Jane is.

  • I have no reason to trust her until she proves that she can be trusted. We know nothing about her either.

  • I don't trust her in the slightest. She's willing to leave an entire group of people to die to save her own skin, so I don't see why she wouldn't do the same to Clem later on if she felt she had to. The current group may not have the best chances for survival, but I'd trust any one of them to watch my back any day of the week. I hardly trust Jane to tell me what the weather is like.

  • I don't know. I doubt she's going to betray us, but it wouldn't be totally surprising if she ditched us or something.

  • I trust her to save Clem from danger, but I wouldn't trust her to save Kenny, Luke, Rebecca, or anyone from the group from danger.

I'm starting to see that the theme of this season may be more like ways of survival. So far this season we have been shown two extremes when it comes to surviving. Walter was the guy who believed in helping out others and trusting everyone while Carver took a more brutal and survival of the fittest stance. Both tried putting their ideas of surviving on Clem and both are now dead because of their views on survival.
Now Clem is left with Luke, who shows more of a softer side closer to Walt's way of thinking( Ex. Not wanting to kill Carver or the dog) and Jane, the girl who will do anything to survive( Convincing Clem to leave the others). Telltale has shown us how these ways of thinking lead and if we want Our Clem to follow them.

Jane's like Carol from the show. Strong and finds potential in children. That's why she knew Clem could steal the walkie-talkies. Jane's self-centered but doesn't really hate anyone. She only feels threatened when she's with a group of weak people who could slow her down, and get her killed. It's all about survival of the fittest. The trophy ''All Fall Down'' could mean someone died, and the group is at risk because of it. So yea Jane's awesome. My opinion will change if she tries to set Clem up, or use her as bait to escape a herd. Meaning she sends a herd of walkers towards clem in order to escape.

    P.s

The decision to be Sarah's friend in 201 effects this episode. When Clem said she can't promise Sarah they'll be friends forever, that was foreshadowing that Clem will have to decide to do something she'll regret doing to Sarah or not.

  • No. She doesn't give a damn about anybody in the group.

She seems to see something in Clem, but I'm not going to put any faith in somebody who would quite clearly have no quarrel with leaving Clementine's friends to die.

  • You like Wyatt, but he threatened Clem by holding up a gun to Clem in 203. He doesn't care about Clem's group either. All he knows is what Carver told him. Carver told him and whoever went with Tavia that The cabin group and Clem were bad people. I'm sure he was the one shooting at the group on the roof in the ending scene of 203 with Tavia. So how is Wyatt any different than Jane?

  • When did this thread become about who we like? Who we like is generally very different than who we trust.

I think Jane has the potential to be a good character. I think Wyatt is a good character. From the point of view of Clementine, I don't trust either of them.

How is this in any way, shape or form relevant?
