Who is the best villain?
In TWDG? Who do you think is the best? Here are a few characters who you may want to pick from:
Carver
Stranger
St Johns
Nate
Lee (Evil version)
Really if you play as Lee in a certain way he can be a complete asshole to everyone through the whole season, it's hilarious especially in the first episode.

St. Johns. Especially that piece of shit Danny.
Nate has something really cool about him, but I have to go with the Stanger/Campman. To me, he's the perfect villain; a perfect combination of subtlety, rage, and reason.
carver, but he had so much wasted potential
Kenny is the best.
I thought the Stranger was incredibly well written.
The writers never failed to remind us that even the villains are human. This guy had a family of his own that he once looked out for yet it was one of OUR choices that snowballed into pushing him past his breaking point. The greatest kind of villain, in my opinion, is someone we can empathize with regardless of the harm they've done to others. While we didn't like him, we could understand how he got to that point and how our actions affected him.
I also thought he had a creepier vibe than Carver. Carver was dangerous in the "If you piss me off I'll push you off the roof" way, but the Stranger was just full on.. creepy.
Aaaaahhh, double post. Ignore this.
I agree.
This is a great post and I agree 100% However I think Carver had the potential to be a great villain, just that I felt he changed a lot in between episodes 2 and 3 in some bad ways,he became a pure sadist.
the stranger. mainly because he only used his words to break down the group. granted he messed with a kid's head but still.
If Nate becomes the main villain of season 2 he would blow Carver away
I have to go with Carver since I was actually scared of him because of his unpredictability
I liked Carver but I think they wasted him a little. I'd say the St Johns, they were just so creepy.
In Episode 2, Carver was an amazing villian. I feared him, but at the same time I adored him. I almost fell in love with Carver. But in Episode 3... I don't even want to talk about it.
Carver was the more evil one but the St. Johns were more fucked up in the head
St Johns definitely number one. I don't think any other has come close.
The Stranger comes second, but I don't class him as a villain anyway. He was more of a twisted individual through circumstance.
Nate. I don't call him a villain either. He is just warped and just looks out for number one. Many people are like that in real life, never mind a game.
Carver. Now this guy certainly wasn't a villain. This was due to the circumstances of living in the apocalypse. He saw the situation and took advantage of it. I bet there are many of us on this forum that would do the same sort of thing in a similar situation. There will always be someone who takes the lead role and power goes to their head. Just got to look at history to see it's happened time and again.
I would have to say Lee. If you play him a certain way, he can wreck so many lives. He can send Lilly into a deep depression, he can murder Ben, he can be a complete asshole to grieving Kenny, he can be cruel to Clementine, he can threaten cancer survivors at gunpoint to get them to do what he wants, etc. In the end, who the real villain is is up to you. We're all monsters. Just some more than others.
I think Crawford has been overlooked since it was destroyed by the time Lee's group arrives, but some of the things Oberson did we're just horrific. Killing or expelling (which often meant death anyway) the old, the sick, and children; forcing women to have abortions or leave; impaling his perfect society's "burdens" on spikes; his pamphlets about his "Final Solution"... It all seemed really similar to a Nazi dictatorship, and it was really disturbing.
Yeah I'm glad we didn't have to deal with Oberson's crazy ass.
I think it would of been interesting if they did a DLC of what happened in Crawford between season 1 and 2 or included it in 400 days somehow.
For me, it
s between Carver and the St. Johns but if I had to pick only one I
d say Carver.Carver would have been the best antagonist, if he wasn't so underused in his death episode that is. He was quite scary in Episode 2 though.
From the first Season though it's the Stranger, no contest.
I'd have to go with the Stranger. He's basically the embodiment of choice impact, which is what the whole game is based around.
Well, I disliked Vaas, but I loved Hoyt. The new villian has more of a Hoyt personality.
DANG IT - Wrong game sorry.
At first I was like "who the fuck are Vaas and Hoyt?" till I saw DANG IT wrong game sorry and I immidiatly thought "oh Far Cry 3" :S
