Why was it Sarita?
I was laying in bed today and thought of the episode 3 ending. Then I thought, why was it Sarita? I loved episode 3 while many others didn't and this is probably why. Sarita isn't a big enough character for her to get bit. For example, Lee got bit and later died causing season 1 to win game of the year. Sarita getting bit isn't as attention grabbing as Luke or Kenny getting bit. I hope I'm not the only one that thinks this and its just my opinion. I still loved episode 3 but this would have made it better.

Probably, as hard as it sounds, because she's close to Kenny, but also because she's more 'disposable' than Kenny or Luke.
It will lead to some sad and feely moments with Kenny, maybe make him snap.
Sarita became a plot device, I fear
plot device
No! Gah dayum! I love Kenny and Luke but the episode would have grabbed me emotionally if it was them.
Clearly TellTale wants Kenny to suffer.
Well before season 2 episode 1 was released, one of the telltale staff members said that epsiode 5 will be "Pizza or Ice-cream" and someone asked if we would have to choose between the two and he replied "You can have both", i think that when he said Pizza or ice-Cream he was implying a choice over Luke and Kenny, so they probably will survive until episode 5, i assume that the whole series will sadly end in S2E5 with Clem, Luke, and Kenny going to wellington and finding a safezone but for some reason only one can come with you so you have three choices, either go in and take Luke, go in and take Kenny, or decide to stay outside with Kenny and Luke
This is going to sound really messed up, but I really like the character who goes through endless suffering in a series. Good example, Otto from Sons of Anarchy spoiler alert he goes to jail for his gang, loses an eye, ends up nearly going blind in the other eye after an attack in prison, his wife is murdered, refuses to testify and so the guards turn a blind eye as he's repeated raped. It's screwed up, and you'd have to see it, but there's just this sort of pathos and stoicism to the whole ordeal...
Yeah i agree, i think it is the last needle on the haystack to make lovable Kenny snap and become angry killer Kenny.
She was a typical redshirt
She was redshirt, they want to stretch Kenny's personality until he explodes.
Is it normal that whenever I heard 'redshit' I think less of Star Trek than Garibaldi's army... I blame my father reading biographies to me when I was a little kid rather than 'cow jumping over the moon'...
He raised you well.
You mean Giuseppe Garibaldi? The Italian general?
Poor Kenny..
You've got a point. But, even if you don't mind Sarita dying, a lot of people don't want Kenny to suffer. Besides, you know there's gonna be some fighting over what to do with her and you'll have to pick sides...
Fuel for more Kenny man pain, sadly. I liked Sarita.![:/ :/](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/confused.png)
She was mostly there to keep prodding that Kenny has changed, and now that she knows Kenny is not the man she was in love with, she is a goner. I kinda hope they add some more to her but if not then hopefully she dies a hero's death/sacrifice.
Yessir.
The other famous redshit (at least in America) were the redshirts that worked to reinstate the Queen of Hawaii, (inspired by Garibaldi's army). The US had supported revolutions in Texas and California to annex Mexican territory, then later Americans emmigrated en masse to Hawaii, working sugar plantations and eventually supporting an overthrow of the native monarchy in favor of a pro-American republic. Wilcox's redshirts being a (admittedly ineffective) force against annexation.
More respected than the influence the original redshirts had on the fascist blackshirts...
I'm not that smart.
I can understand, they develop a lot more, emotionally and also physically, but I'm still sad for them.
I'm not that smart either. I just had to write a research paper in American History, so I did it on Hawaii.
Yeah, I have a history final tomorrow, that's why I know him :P
Actually, it's kind of sad (well this history is sad but...) I'm thinking of preparing for the exam to become as history teacher in the US... I did my bachelors in Asian Humanities at UCLA (one of the major universites in America and #3 in California [fuck USC]) and now my master's in comparative literature (Korean and French), so I haven't studied American History since High School and yet I can still pass the history teachers' exam, even if I fail the essay section... That's why the education system is so poor in the US... So many people say "well, if I can't get a job I'll just teach" - being a teacher is seen as a fallback job and they're poorly paid...
I feel like I'm the only one who really likes Sarita (never mind just read some of the comments) even if she wasn't with Kenny, she's such a nice lady & kind of a badass. Did you see her take out that walker in E3 with the machete? She's one of the most underrated characters IMO of S2. But as much as it pains me to say it, she's just a plot device.
I agree, most of my teachers don't know shit about the material they teach, I speak English better than my English teacher...
From the looks of it she is going to be a victim of a classic Woman in Refrigerator situation, just as Katjaa was. Unless she somehow survives an amputation in the next episode she's not going to live, and her death will only serve to develop Kenny's story.
Omg, I wish there were a clip. One of my favorite (guilty pleasure) movies is 좋지 아니한가. (If you look online it's dubbed as 'skeletons in the closet.') It's a family comedy like 'Little Miss Sunshine,' and the father is an English teacher in Korea - one his students is like "the scenery of all the buildings was lovely" and she continues in a good English accent, and the father (the teacher) is like "da sinary obe all de bilding waje bery lobery"... hahaha
just wondering, where are you from? Your English is excellent;
Thanks, I'm from Israel, which is ironic because people here either don't speak English, or sound derpy when they talk.
Really? Wow, I didn't know that, where I'm from there are a lot Jewish Americans, and a number who go to Israel for a time, and from what I've heard the problem isn't Israelis who speak bad English, but the fact that they speak such poor Hebrew...
It goes both ways, I literally want to catch the next flight to America because I'm so ashamed of my countries lack of communication skills, even our prime minister isn't a brilliant when it comes to English.
Where are you from?
And if you go into 'Redcoats' thats a whole other history lesson.
So Kenny can change.
I'm orignally from the US, I live in Korea. I thought Netanyahu lived a while in America? I quickly looked it up, he spent a long time in Pennsylvania, which is where my mother is from.
You speak very good English. I really recommend spending some time abroad though, it's a wonderful experience. Are you in college? If you get a chance, even spending just a semester overseas is an excellent opportunity. Living outside of your own country, learning a new language in the native environment truly can't be beat.
I never knew he lived in America, that's nice to hear, but he's still not good enough for a prime minister imo, also, his wife is practically a smug pig.
I plan on getting out of here after serving the military, I was planning on going to Los Angeles, go to college for a few years after I graduate here.
To be honest, the women here are pure shit, they are smug, corrupted and not pretty to my taste, so I may just settle down in America, I feel like I belong there anyway :P
Lol, I haven't known many Israeli women, so no way to judge...
Okay, we can agree, not a fan of Netanyahu.
Does Israel have compulsory military service? Korea is two years (because of North Korea)...
I'm from the Northeast of America, went to college in Los Angeles, it's a lot different from what people dream (including what I thought), but if you want to give it a shot it's not a bad city. I still recommend the northeast, though -
Yep, I'll get my first order in a year or so, and when I'm 18 I'll have to do 3 years by default, and I plan on staying for a little more if I get a part that makes me enlist.
Yeah I heard it's not like all the glory it gets, but I went there and I really like the place, also it's a warm place and I'm used to that here.
just another double post
History repeats itself.
That and overly used game cliches, apparently.
As soon as Sarita was introduced my first thought was that she was a plot device. Episode 3 confirmed this and im okay with it.
Like most others have been saying, she's more or less a plot device for the sake of Kenny's character development.
Because the number 3 hates Kenny, that's why. So far, Kenny has lost his wife, his son, and his eye during third episodes, as well as having his new girlfriend get bitten.
If he makes it to Season 3... I don't even want to imagine it...
Because fridging.
The moment I laid eyes on Sarita, I suspected she'd become Katjaa 2.0.
