Previously On BUG
Okay.. Umm.. I was watching the previously on the walking dead when i started episode 3.. and it shows Clementine inside the house running at the guy with her hands tied behind her back.. WHEN .. I made the choice for her to leave the lodge and get help from kenny.. So why is it showing a choice i never made for the previously on.. I never had clementine surrender.. so wtf!?
Not only that.. But i double checked on the choices.. it even says that i made the choice to seek kenny's help..
So do choices not matter? Is this a known bug? Is my game broken and not truly recording the history of my choices?
This is going to piss me off a lot if this game doesn't actually account for your choices 100%.. Cause that previously on the walking dead business was bullshit.. Completely different to how i played.. W.T.F is all i can say..

It's a bug that happens pretty often
Are my choices actually being saved correctly though? Is it just the "previously on" that bugs? Like if i continue playing.. will i be continuing off my last play? will characters interact with me correctly from the choices i actually made?
or does that previously on mean i have to start ALLLL OVER again?
You'd think they would of patched or did something.. that is stupid.. If i have to start alll over again I'm never buying another product from them again.. To invest all that time and have to start over again cause it doesn't even correctly record your choices..?? Isn't that the whole main theme for their games? Choices matter.. Obviously not.. This isn't the first time i've seen this happen.. I once had it not only show a different previously on.. but actually randomize the choices i made..
In any case.. I am curious to know if that previously on bug is just restricted to the recap, or if characters are going to interract with me based off that bs i just saw
I had terrible issues with this in the first season where nearly ALL of my choices were the opposite of what I did. So much so I thought the only way to get the choices the way I wanted them to was to to do the opposite of what I wanted. Which is completely insane. I expect them to work when this game series is all about the choices. I did eventually get it working though, but it's a disgrace that Telltale would never fix that error that thousands of users ended up having after downloading 400 Days.
However, I've never had any issues with Season Two (yet). But you should probably post this in the technical support thread here.
Yeah I just overwrite'd the save when i restarted episode 3.. then i paused right at the beginning went back to main menu.. looked at choices..
and where it said i seeked kenny's help.. it showed a blank spot.. no choice made.. so it basically just erased my choice..
Yeah.. I'm never buying from telltale again.. 2nd time it has screwed my playthrough.. this is crap that they havent fixed this.. bring it out in a dlc for free, a patch or something.. wth.. I suppose i can just redo the last chapter in episode 2.. but how am I to have faith that the choices previous are even truly saved.. This is such CRAP!
I understand your concern, but most choices arent even relevant anymore, i higly doubt that the choice to stay with Rebececca or finding Kenny will ever be brought up again, but i agree that its bullshit. Personally i dont mind going back and doing the choice over again as the episodes dont take too long.
I just redid the last chapter on episode 2 to get the choice back and i started episode 3 again.. didn't save the choice.. it did the same crap over again.. not counting the last choice.. I guess i'll playthrough episode 1 and 2 again later today or another day maybe.. see if it works playing non stop.. or maybe I'll wait till all the episodes are released.. in either case.. I'm doubtful i'll be paying to play future releases of the walking dead game series considering this has happened multiple times.. Choice saving system is broken.
Oh.. and i'm playing this on ps3
In the previously bit Walter says "Go to hell you fu" to Carver just before he gets shot but in the actual episode he doesn't say anything.
you should rewind from the last part of episode 2,otherwise the bug will happen
Its not a bug it just saves whether Alvin is alive or not. It did the same for me despite the fact I left. It shows clem running and saving him or him being shot. Even if clem dosnt surrender
i dont think it was a bug i think no matter what i think episode 3 was rushed in doing so that was given the automatic decision no matter if we made those choices or not cause its on my playthrough as well so i think everyone got that cause i watched it on youtube and everyone i watched had it to so i think in some ways the game was rushed and that is what they gave us we can not fix what they did
I remember that I had the same problem in Season 1 when game told me "you thought you saved Carley? lolnope, here goes Doug!". I was too lazy to replay and I decided that it's not a big deal. But in Episode 3 other bug happened and I had to replay the whole game. Goddamnit.
So nobody can have it where Clementine goes to get help from kenny? Even if i play through all the episodes over again it will do that? That is lame.. I wonder how much other choices are effed up in this game..
I played the episodes all the way through making the choice to surrender this time.. it seems to have worked smoothly after i deleted all saves and started fresh again..
Course.. I didn't try to make the choice to seek help from kenny this time.. I didn't want it to bug again..
You can save Alvin, regardless of you choosing to surrender, or go ask kenny for help.. If you go ask for help you just grab the gun when it gets to that.. Or if your inside.. protect alvin or w/e.. It was just bugged all to heck if you decide to go after kenny
I will say that episode 3 was the best one yet.. Story wise, I'll give them that.
