At first, You tell her that they're still alive.
Then, You say that you hope that they're alive.
Then, You tell her that you will help you look for them.
And then you will tell her that they're most likely dead.
Step by step, yes, if that would be "normal" situation. I mean... death of loved ones isn't normal anyway, but... despite the unusual circumstances - zombie apocalipse - when everyone has to be stronger no matter what? I find more 'rude' telling her "Clem, don't trust anyone" or something like that. I haven't been harsh on her until I speak with Chuck.
