Carver's characterisation shift from affably evil and well-intentioned hunter from Episode 2 to a tyrannical and blood-thirsty egomaniac in Episode 3.
I suspect Carver was simply putting on a "nice guy" exterior in episode 2. Once Clem and the others were captured, the disguise became redundant. I also think there was still plenty of consistency in Carver's character in ep. 3; his attitude towards Clem was a good example.
I'll do my best to list down why most players don't seem to like S2 Episode 3 as much as the other episodes:
* Carver's characterisatio… moren shift from affably evil and well-intentioned hunter from Episode 2 to a tyrannical and blood-thirsty egomaniac in Episode 3.
* Disappointing 400 Day characters cameos. Aside from Bonnie, all the other characters served little to no purpose in the episode.
* Sarah, and Rebecca are the only cabin crew characters to have reasonable character focus. Everyone else is shoved to the side, especially Nick and Alvin. It could also be argued that Kenny stole the spotlight in a story that had little to do with him and Sarita.
* Reggie's character served no purpose other than to show that Carver was evil, though that may have been the point.
* Everyone is way to dependent on Clementine, to the point where Clementine is possibly the only competent team member of the group.
* The anti-climatic teaser trailer for… [view original content]
You didn't have anything else to say to me so you just resorted to repeating what you already said in your first post.
For me its Quality over Quantity and I still really like the Quality and I don't mind the Quantity.
Well this Season feels rushed and half assed TTG needs to go past the 90 minutes BS because to ME it is having a negative impact on story and character development.
I think that Carver was always a sadistic crazy dude, he killed Walter, Alvin (Optional), and nearly killed Clementine/Sarita.
And I think that Troy was just quiet because he didn't have a voice actor. c:
I've never played TWAU. But it also depends on what point of the scene it cuts off from. For example S1E4 had an amazing "cliffhanger" moment. S2E3 did not.
See, I found the exact opposite. Weird. Cause I loved episode 1 A LOT, episode 2 was slow but got hella good toward the second half. I just found episode 3 to be marred by unexceptional character development and sub-par plot devices. Carver was boring, Kenny was annoying, and Clementine didn't have too much to do unfortunately (I mean as a plot figure).
I didn't like it because of how bad the characters were here. None felt important but Kenny who seemed to be the only character in this ep.
I'll go dig up a post from an earlier thread to describe my feelings.
I'm not saying that S1E3 is bad I enjoyed the train and teaching Clementine how to shoot, S2E3 is well...it's just not the crappiest day like S1E3 as Clementine stated.
I do like Season Two even episode three, but it isn't a patch on Season One. The storyline while good, doesn't hold the same level of anticipation.
Much of the story, so far I hasten to add. Has been remarkably predicted by many on this very forum. Makes me wonder if people were correct during the first season. For example, how many predicted that the St Johns were cannibals. Yes I knew something was very wrong with them, but I didn't see that one coming. So that was a surprise, albeit a nasty one.
Another one I didn't see coming was Carley's death or even Lee's.
See, this is what I miss about Season Two. There hasn't ( yet ) been one thing, that has made me pause the game and think about it for a while. Or made me jump, or surprise me.
So come on telltale, for the last two episodes lets have some twists, turns and evil surprises.
I don't regret buying this game and I don't regret playing this episode. TWD's story is way better than most video game stories I played despite its minor flaws. People around here seem to be acting too entitled and expect the game to be something it's not, let Telltale give us the story they planned on giving. Sure go ahead and critique it, but don't let that stop you from enjoying it.

Along with what DoubleJump is saying, I once watched a guy livestreaming A House Divided and at the end he said how he hated this episode. And it wasnt because the episode was bad, it was because he was trying to be nitpicky and point out every flaw maybe to sound cool or just for a personal benefit. In the end he was so nitpicky and pointed out every flaw, it ruined the episode for him even his wife was said he was being way to nitpicky. Whenever i play i push all the flaws under the rug unless theyre really stupid and need to be fixed in future episodes and it really makes the episodes feel a lot better.

I don't see how anyone is expecting the game to "be something it's not", considering how brilliant the first season was. People are simply expecting the game to bring on the same level of quality TellTale has proven it can give us. And let's be clear here, story-wise, season 1 was not exactly groundbreaking in terms of creating whole new scenarios never been done before in the zombie survival genre. It didn't set an impossible standard for season 2 to aspire to; it's just that season 2 simply isn't hitting a lot of the notes season 1 hit so well for one reason or another, be it not enough immersion, new characters being overshadowed by old ones and then dying prematurely, outside build up being revealed to be nothing special, and other things I'm missing.

I liked where the ending was going. But then it just cuts off.
That's funny coming from you.
But im a nice person bro
I think he's quoting Carver...
No, it's just funny after all the 'not nice' words that guy has used in this thread.
Uhhh... What?
In regards to this item on your list:

What?
What are you talking about?
I thought it was more intense than Episode 1 and 2 it felt more urgent at least...
The only other things you've posted in this thread.
I wasnt an asshole

I don't think I ever accused you of being one.

So does twau episode 4, twau episode 2, twd episode s2 ep 1. Lots of them cut off.
You didnt say it but was thinking it.
Lol, don't tell me what I think, it's madness.
Lmfao
People can't be thankful/grateful for anything. They seem to care more about the length more than the story and the actual game itself.

Oh god please don't lol
I thought it was a good episode. The only things that I had a problem with was Sarah and Carver dying too early.
HEY it's better than S1E3.
I personally LOVED S1E3, I don't get the negativity toward it.
I'm not saying that S1E3 is bad I enjoyed the train and teaching Clementine how to shoot, S2E3 is well...it's just not the crappiest day like S1E3 as Clementine stated.

The episode is great. Dunno why some ppl dont like it :P
Wasn't that the one where Carley, Katjaa and Duck died? I wasn't aware it was hated. I thought it was the most popular.

No that was my conclusion to this discussion i still stand with my belief and you are free to believe whatever you want.
Alot of people didn't like it, I thought it was a good episode.
Sarita just had her arm brutally ripped open by Clem and then screamed surrounded by walkers, it was a cliffhanger.
I know that, it wasn't a good cliffhanger though.

"In Harm's Way" is my number one favorite of Season Two so far.
Those are my personal opinions on "In Harm's Way."

A woman screaming because her arm was just ripped open and then it cut off wasnt good?
Imo i thought it was absolutely brilliant
I can't say I LOVED the episode but I did LIKE it. For me, it wasn't the best episode in season 2 so far; that would have to be A House Divided.
