I wanted to see him face justice but not like that. Instead of paying for what he did to his group, especially Rebecca, Carlos and Alvin, it became all about Kenny's revenge.
The amount of downvotes in this thread is quite impressive.
Anyway, Carver desereved to die just so that he can never hurt anyone again b… moreut a quick bullet would have suffice. What Kenny did wasn't right. It was just about vengeance and anger. By doing that, he was just as ruthless as Carver. And if they shot Carver, they would have had more time to escape resulting in maybe Carlos, Sarita living.
Everyone have different opinions and I don't say one or another is the right one, it's totally subjective. Now, lay those downvotes on me :P
If I were killing people I wouldn't waste a single bullet/shell. However, the sharp end of the crowbar would have been far more efficient. Smash the brain, get moving, survive.
I think Kenny's way of killing Carver was necessary for the episode since it would change people's views of Kenny and give people second thoughts if there is a decision between leaving Kenny or another person. His anger is getting the most of him, and eventually he will snap. Maybe he kills another group member or even dislike Clementine at one point showing him losing his mind, and helping players have varied decisions on who to trust.
I personally will always trust Bonnie since she is known well by the cabin group and she is willing enough to care for Clementine. I would put her as an older sibling type of person to Clementine or even a representative of a mum to Clementine.

All these people that are saying Carver didn't deserve that way of dying. Okay, put yourself in Kenny's shoes. Over the past two seasons, his wife, son and best friend ( determinant ) have all died. Not to mention those he lived with in the Lodge. His girlfriend threatened, plus Clementine injured or threatened as well.
Then there were all the other deaths he witnessed.
Finally he had his face and head beat in by Carver, a megalomaniac who murders without a second thought. Blinded in one eye and possible brain damage.
It's no wonder Kenny smashed Carvers head in, after all that anyone would. If you say different, then you are either lying or living in a fantasy world.
It felt like a cathartic moment for Ken and Clem. Clem had been scared shit less of this guy and Kenny had nearly been beaten to death. Clem needed to see him die and Kenny needed to reclaim his pride after that ass whooping and let some of his anger out.

I just put myself in Kenny's shoes I figured if I was kidnapped by him and he was threatening and beating people seeing how he treated Clem. if you do that to people a person cares about that's one thing but when he nearly beat him to death with a walkie talkie rendering him blind in one eye and possible brain damaged. Add to the fact that carver was taunting him he had bottled up rage and yes he went a little over the top maybe some people would just shoot him but going through all of that you might've just beat him to death as well. I don't care if you downvote my opinion on how Kenny had every right to leave Carver at his mercy
I would have indeed liked if the killer had been determinant. Many people here talk of how Kenny "deserved his revenge". But when you think about it, Walter's death and getting beat up by Carver were both his own fault. Walter's death was eye-for-an-eye, Kenny DID kill Johnny. He got beaten up in episode 3 because he chose to take the beating that could possibly have been for Clementine if he had not interfered. (I hated how this was railroaded, I wanted to be the one letting myself get beaten up for others... you know, character development)
I really wanted Rebecca to be the one to kill Carver. She clearly had MUCH more direct motivation for vengeance, such as implied rape and the fate of Daddy Applejuice. Kenny getting the satisfaction of the kill was clearly nothing but fanservice, and the fact that it was railroaded to happen disgusts me to no end.
Go ahead now, drown me in dislikes. But I would have at least liked to have at least some proper influence in how this scene played out.

I must live in a fantasy world too because just because someone has suffered doesn't give them the right to inflict suffering on someone else. To hear you say it, he would have been justified in beating anyone to death that made him mad. Kenny clearly has no control over himself and the things he went through are no excuse. I think there is more going on with him than that, and we saw it before he lost Katjaa and Duck.

I don't feel like Clementine would be okay with this. She's no kill crazy kid like Arya Stark. That's why I didn't like Carver trying to compare her to himself. He's amoral but my Clementine still has a strong moral center thanks to all the good people who took care of her.

I wanted to talk Kenny out of it, which is why I stupidly agreed to watch, but I guess that was a vain hope. It was going to happen. I can't agree that I wanted to see Clem take the beating but I think the rest of your points are solid.

What are you talking about??? If Bonnie didn't stop Carver from beating Kenny up, he probably would of killed him... in the same, brutal way. Carver was a terrible, terrible person who killed people for dumb reasons without a pitty because they were apparently "weak" according to him. And it makes me so mad when people say "Omg, Carver didn't deserve to die in such a brutal way, how could you Kenny?" and they don't even think about what Kenny went through. What Carver put him through... And so many other people Carver put through so much pain, for example Rebecca. Kenny had his reasons for killing him like that and I can understand because we don't know how much anger and pain he was holding inside at that moment. And I feel good for Kenny because he could let that all out while smashing that fuckers face. And think about it, I'm pretty sure you would want him dead in horrible, horrible ways if you would ever have to deal with him in life. Carver deserved every single hit he got. #kennyalltheway♥
What happened to people! God help us all
Most of you are agree to tear his face apart without a pity. I'm sorry for this kind of people.
I know he have to died but not like that. We are human...

Carver deserved to die, I will say that, but the way Kenny did it took far too long and wasted a lot of time that could have been used in escaping instead. Like a lot of people said, Carver was probably dead or unconscious/near death after the third hit, not to mention he was shot in the legs, there was no point to keep hitting him. Kenny had no reason to. His "revenge" for Walter and the radio were all brought on by himself.
It was a chilling scene, but in the end, it seemed a little hamfisted. Kenny could have just used that bullet to the leg as a bullet to the head, since Carver was defenseless at that point anyway.
Or Rebecca should have. I don't see why it had to be Kenny. Rebecca had much more initiative and incentive to pop a bullet between Carver's eyes.
Anybody would want to get revenge like that for what they have gone through. If I was forced into a camp like that with extremely strict rules and got beaten down, I would want to smash his face in with a crowbar too. It's a shame though, Carver died too early.
To add fuel to this fire, Carver was not completely defenseless at the point when Kenny shot him in the leg and Luke took away his automatic weapon. Carver still had his revolver on him, the one that Rebecca scavenged off his dead body if you stayed to watch. Perhaps if Kenny just left him there things could have happened differently... just sayin.

He should have lived.least until omid the ruins.we could kill him like Ellie killed David.

revenge is a path with a deadend it destroys every thing around it even you the saying goes IF YOU WANT REVENGE DIG TWO GRAVES

Bonnie suprised me, but I still don't fully trust her yet. I do think differently of her now though.
he had it coming im glad ken did what he did

Yes, I live in a fantasy world. For me, bashing someone's skull in a fit of rage isn't right.
You can't stop Kenny... no one can.
i would have just shoot him in the head twice and left with the others
I could have sworn Carver said "That women deserves her revenge... and we deserve to die", so I don't feel too bad that he didn't survive.
No.... the downvotes... No... NO.... NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
