I'm good at reasoning with people. We can work something out.
Scout them first to see if they seem friendly. If so, then I'll try bargaining for supplies.
If it came to that and his legs were literally the ONLY food available, then I'd have to, so yeah. He'd understand the necessity of it. Unsure if I could keep it down though.
What if a herd is coming and your grandma cant walk?
What if people constantly make you mad and you are surrounded by zombies and constan… moret problems? Youre gonna stay nice?
What if your people are dyin and you come across a camp with people and food? You just gonna ask em?
What if your dad is dying and you got no food? You aint gonna make some meat out of his tasty legs?
I agree with your morals, with the exception that I'd be a little more prone to killing people who pose a threat to the group. I mean, if I run into scavengers, I wouldn't spare them just to feel good with myself. Of course, if I run into good people, things would be very diferent.
Approach every new person with benevolent caution. Treat them like friends, but never let it leave your mind that they could just as easily be foes.
Try to avoid making enemies, but don't bend your morals for anyone.
"Survival of the fittest" is bullshit. No one gets left behind. Children, elderly, and disabled get priority.
Honesty is the best policy.
Take each day as they come. Don't worry about the future, don't dwell on the past. Have a goal and stick to it.
Communication is key. Don't bottle up your feelings, don't push people away when they try to talk to you. This is a stressful world and all you have is each other. Take advantage of that.
Sharing is caring.
Allow yourself to mourn. This is a sad world. We don't have to pretend otherwise.
There is no such thing as "a necessary evil."
Safety in numbers isn't always true, but traveling alone can be just as dangerous. Neither are typically up for the choosing. Understand how to negotiate when it comes to the former, and always keep your eyes open when it comes to the latter.
Work on cardio, remember to double tap, beware of bathrooms, and always wear a seat belt.
The survival of the human race is more important than my own survival. This means that I have to be willing to sacrifice myself for others. It also means that any skills I have need to be taught to others for the mutual benefit of everyone.
Death is inevitable. Accept the fact that everyone will most likely be dead in a year and understand that sacrifices will have to be made, even if it means losing those we're closest to.
Humanity doesn't have to be a weakness. Despite the fact as I witness more and more horrors, my humanity will slowly become obsolete and that may make survival easier; having no morals is a great weakness as I rely immensely on my group. I need to be trustworthy to survive, and if I simply only care about myself, no one will be able to rely on me and that will lead to isolation and death.
There are others, but I'm not writing a whole essay on the issue of morality in the zombie apocalypse.
I'm not gonna expand too much since it'll make me write a fucking 3 page paragraph, but I can sum it up into two general steps:
1) You ha… moreve to become a monster in order to defeat monsters, you can't win without sacrificing something, if you don't fight, you can't win.
2) When the time comes, rebuild civilization, and make it better than the last one.

I didn't say I'll become a monster and stay a monster, sometimes you have to do monstrous things in order to reach a point where you can start rebuilding.
In the Zombie Apocalypse scenario will be NOMorals/Ethics it will be only DEAD
In any case moral decision will change day by day, so I can or can not kill people, human mentality is changing very easy especially when it comes to survival, if you sacrifice means that you have nothing to lose.
So I will protect the things that I care most the things that make me happy with my life
a monster will always be a monster
or
“You are a monster. You will always be a monster—there is no turning back from it. But what type of monster you become is entirely up to you.”

theres no way to keep your humanity or morals in the ZA. to a point all of those are going to be shattered, no matter what. the bes you can do is try to be the best you can be given that youre in the ZA. try not to be a serial killer.

I may agreed with you...
-Only kill the living out of necessity (The bandits in S1) or out of mercy. (Motor inn woman in S1E1, Screaming woman in S1E3 and Duck.)
-The groups survival takes priority over my own.
-While I'd like to be benevolent and invite as many people as I can into the group, I know it's foolish. I'd stick to a small group until we become
self-sustaining and able to grow our own food.
-Selfish assholes who only care about their own agenda (i.e Kenny, Jane) can take a hike.
Yes many Christians debate amongst each other whether they should use 'situational ethics'. Jesus used in the Bible, but at the same time there are rules in the Bible that are sinful. So it's quite a complex issue.
Theoretically Christians shouldn't be using situational ethics, there are some pretty clear rules which must be crossed under no circumstanc… morees. In Christianity, those of faith would adhere to those maxims, and if one's own death should arise from those circumstances, it means nothing, since the faithful go to Heaven. After all, Christianity is most famous for its martyrs (including Jesus).
Not Christian, just saying, that's how I understood the deal [albeit, again to my understanding, a largely Protestant interpretation].
I could never see people as expendable just to save my own skin. And I probably couldn't live with killing somebody. I'm the type of person who'd rather drive through a guard rail and off a cliff than hit a dog.
I'd try, but I'd probably die pretty quick in all honesty.
I like what someone wrote about keeping the fire inside burning. The will to live, let live, and create life, it's a really nice thought.
I guess I'd deal with shit as it comes (like a wise man once said), but follow some primary rule:
-friends and family above all
-don't kill the living without a good reason
-don't depend on others too much, and don't let others depend on you (again, too much)
-and don't trust anyone (BATMAN style)

I laughed when i saw this thread, i didn't really know what i wanted to say, so i waited. I thought about it for a couple days. I be looking out for #1, me. I think i would be drink a lot more. If the end of the world isn't a excuse to get plastered i don't know what is. Morals to me, i guess you could consider me a Chaotic Neutral at best. I am going to do what i want , when i want. I wouldn't have the *MAN *bringing me down anymore, so i can spread my wings and fly, like the caged bird i am.
I would act like i do in any Rogue/like game such as DayZ. If i see a person running down the street with a M4, i probably would take him/her out from a distance, because they are a perceived threat. If I saw a unarmed i might make contact with them, or ignore unless they started raiding the good supplies, in my "area" then i would give you a friendly warning shot just to scare you away, unless you don't take the hint. I don't miss twice.
Life is hard in the zombie Apocalypse. Playing nice will not work. You can't trust other people because as Carter says "Everyone in life finds a reason to betray you, happens every time. " I believe this is true, trust is for the naive.
But what if that family member or friend turns out to be your biggest liability? The one making stupid actions, putting the rest of us at risk, wont contribute to the group, perhaps emotionally or psychologically lost it?? Would you continue to keep that family member or friend in your group simply out of loyalty even if they were constantly putting you or the others at risk? I agree it would be absolutely hard to leave them behind or shoot them, but does being loyal to them mean you have to accept that they will proably get you killed?
I would put survival as my #1 priority and do the best I could to keep those I love and trust with me, but I will not simply allow myself to die just because my friend is my friend or my brother is my brother.
I think questions like the topic of this post are difficult because we all have the luxury of safety now to talk and think about our answers, but if we found ourselves in an actual zombie apocalypse, our entire way's of thinking would have to change. What may be unthinkable right now, may become a common norm during the apocalypse.
Right now, no one would see a family having a campout, go in, shoot them all and take their food and supplies, but if during a zombie apocalypse, that would be a very common survival trait if people are desperate enough.
In an ideal situation, people should band together, work together and do what they must to survive like trading with others, sharing and helping fellow survivors, but the truth of the matter is, that wont be the way of it.
People will do absolutely anything and everything they have to to survive and provide for their own regardless of the morals or ethics. Those who choose to remain moral will most likely be the victems of those who dont care about anything else other than survival.
there's a good chance those people die fast in a world like that you need someone to watch your back and if your out for yourself no one will trust you or help you.

Be logical, reasonable, and try to survive.
Don't cut corners and kill people.
Make rules early on though, set limits to a group's numbers unless you want to make a community or have food stocks to spare.
Kill as many Walkers as you can, without jeopardizing your safety. The more Walkers dead mean less chance of someone getting infected by said Walker and creating more Walkers, less food consumed by said Walker, and more experience with killing Walkers.
Finally, if you're bitten you have three choices. Get shot in the head. Be tied somewhere, and die from the fever before being shot in the head, or cut off the area where you've been infected immediately.
Sad to say, but with my parent's diabetes I don't think they'd last too long unless we raided stores for drugs.
Be logical. If necessary, unreasonable, If I knew someone was a danger to me, I would shoot them in the back of the head first chance I got, even if they did trust me. If I saw an unarmed person, with bags of food, and they offered me some. I would point a gun at them and take the rest. Survival above all else, anything to keep me, and my family safe. Obviously I would avoid, and shoot zombies if necessary. So, basically, I do not care if you are a grown man, or a little girl, I will kill you, and take your belongings if I HAVE to in order to survive. Basically, if you find me in the apocalypse, shoot on sight. EDIT: Perhaps I may pick an extra person up and take them along to carry extra baggage, but if they are more trouble than they are worth, they will be shot.
I see yall talking about badass and emotionless i guarantee you it aint that easy. Ive done over 9000 tests about apocalypses and i stay a r… moreealistic and no risk taking survivalist just like Christa. No big group no women no kids no elders no cities. If i have to save someone to get myself in trouble i would pass it. See it as coward but its not. The Governor said lots of wise things about heroic people. Heroes die. You cant be a hero and live. You have to make a choice, I like Christa's ideas.

Do everything Lee did, just don't die,and then i become clementine.
Watch Zombieland.
1) = Attack On Titan. Nice one, friend.
YES! YOU RECOGNIZED IT ^-^
get twinkies
Survival is the thing I'd be focused on the most.
Now you're getting it.
Almost everything Dale advocated in the TV show.

These rules remind me of "The Road" (the movie - I was too lazy to read the book.)
Funny, considering I also thought of the Road when making the list!
Love that film.
Cowards and villains die just the same, but I see your point, sometimes the heroic choice is not the right one.
