I agree with the second part but not the first part. Kenny looks to Clementine for her opinion on things and trusts her to do things most members of the group are iffy letting a little girl do. He and Luke are the only ones who really trust her like that.
Luke. I feel bad for Kenny but I just don't think he's a good long-term match for a maturing Clementine. Luke treats her like an equal, Kenn… morey would always see her as a little kid or even a surrogate for Duck and that's not fair to her. She would have to be the stable one in a partnership with Kenny and help him keep his shit together and again, that's just a sad spot to put her in.
Exactly. That seems to be a huge amount of 'counter arguments' these days. "Lets get butthurt and downvote this because I can't build up a counter argument". Its a forum, I'm happy to debate but please give a solid opinion and not just a downvte.

Gonna get some downvotes for dinner for this...
Yeah, reading this comment now, I don't think the first part is quite right. I agree Kenny and Luke similarly trust her to accomplish things, but I still think there's a disparity in how much Luke and Kenny allow her to have her own mind. Kenny respects her opinion and listens to her more than he will others true, but that's still only so far, and he can still respond fairly harshly when someone doesn't want to go along with him, even Clem. Luke doesn't seem as likely to read her the riot act for not agreeing with him.

I would save Luke no doubt. Kenny's too unhinged and can become a serious threat to Clementine. Luke actually saved Clementine, unlike Kenny. Who got her in more trouble.
I really don't want that kind of choice making since if it goes down to saving Luke or Kenny it'll mean that one of them is going to have a determinant status and we all know that when it comes to determinant characters they always end up dead so each individual game doesn't change too much from each player. Or it could be like in ep. 1 where no matter if you save Duck or Shawn first, Duck is the only one that survives.
I would choose Luke if I was Clem because to me is not of how long you've known them but how well do you think they are capable of surviving with you. Luke is younger than Kenny and therefore is physically better, especially now with Kenny and his eye infection which could become a problem that Clem would never be able to fix. Also Kenny is almost like a time bomb, he acts without thinking. He wouldn't be okay with meeting new people and he is also very judgemental. The only thing I have against Luke is that he is probably too human to the point where he would not even be able to kill a child zombie knowing that it was a child. But I think that's good since I feel like Clementine needs somebody with humanity left so she doesn't lose her own.
This is pretty much why I would want to pick Luke myself. Although I like Kenny, I think Luke would be much better for her (in terms of emotional welfare and general survival).
When I try to think of how Clementine would pick though, I keep coming back to Kenny. A lot of Clem's dialogue options make it sound like she's got survivor's guilt, so I think she'd struggle with letting someone die who - as far as she's aware - already 'died' once coming to find her when she was kidnapped. And there's the fact he just lost an eye. And if Sarita dies, she's the only one he has left. Then there's also the fact that he's the only one left who knew Lee so it might be giving up her last connection to him. I feel like on the outside picking Luke is the better choice for Clem, but that she could easily feel that she should be picking Kenny.
I've talked to a couple people about this and it kind of depends of the circumstances and what happens up to episode five, but I would save … moreLuke. Sure I know Kenny and we have history, but he is a very controlling and unstable person. Sure, he lost his family, and I know that's something that you never truly get over, but so has everyone else in the apocalypse. He represses rather than deals with his problem. And in season one, too, you were either with or against him and if you were against him, he hated your guts. Luke has already done more for Clementine in one week than Kenny did in 4 months(ish). He seems like someone who will actually value Clementine as part of the group, where as Kenny will underestimate her for his own agenda.
Kenny for me. Forever Kenny. He is my favorite character in TWD ever (Including comics and TV Series) I like Luke and I hope that he don't dies but... Kenny is Kenny.
Kenny for me. Forever Kenny. He is my favorite character in TWD ever (Including comics and TV Series) I like Luke and I hope that he don't dies but... Kenny is Kenny.
I see where you're coming from, but let's think back to season 1.
He hardly interacted with Clementine, and he bases his choice to save her if Lee isn't a dick to him. What grown man let's a little girl possibly die because her guardian wasn't agreeing with him the whole season? Kenny was basically saying "when I'm sitting on my ass, protect my family for me." Don't get me wrong, I love Kenny. But to be honest, the only reason why Kenny is like this towards Clementine now, is because she reminds him of Duck. There's a thread more about this, and it brings up some pretty valid points.
Luke on the other hand - I know people are all saying "Omfg why would you bring a little girl to do dangerous stuff like the bridge... yada yada yada" Well, he's actually toughening her up. So if there's ever a point where she's alone, she knows how to do that kind of stuff without getting injured or dying. Luke is young and energetic, you saw him get to Carver's camp with no nights rest, just to save the group. Luke's intentions weren't to put her in the shed. That was all Carlos. Luke wanted to take her out of there, and help her but they wouldn't let him.
Kenny wants Clem to leave so he can reign hell on Carver, if Clem wants to stay he respects her opinion and treats her like an adult. Luke on the other hand wants her to leave and its final.
Actually, you're wrong there. Sarita wanted her to go, Luke didn't say anything about it and just left. He didn't even complain afterwards when they were escaping the herd. Speaking of that, I didn't see Kenny give Clementine a weapon to face the herd just incase something went wrong? Luke did that. Luke thought the plan through, and thought of all the cons. However, Kenny is always occupied on just doing the plan and never thinking to through. Even Rebecca said that, too. How is all that going to protect Clementine?
And about the 'leaving Kenny behind' part. He originally wanted to wait a couple more nights until everyone was good and rested, once again, he was thinking the plan through. When the others disagreed, and he brought up leaving people behind, all of a sudden he was a horrible person? He was doing what was right for the rest of the group, he didn't want to do it himself. I'm pretty sure he only said it so they'd agree to get rested. But Kenny got up like a badass, anyway.
Anyway, hope that was a good counter argument. I hope I didn't offend you or anything, I want this to remain civilized.

I mean, I'm still pissed of Luke regardless of weather he planned to leave Kenny or not, just suggesting it sorta pissed me but I can't judge him because I'd probably back the moment if it was anyone but Kenny or Sarita -Insert hypocrite insult here-
The part about not saving Clem. The only two ways I see this being ok is if you left Duck on the farm or if you tried to throw him out the drug store because then he kinda has a reason to be like "Hey remember that time you left my kid to die?". In the meat locker one from my point of view you kinda put his family and the WHOLE group in danger if you didn't kill Larry because he was gonna come back and eat us. Kenny knew it had to be done and Lee left him alone on this tough choice. That one is just down to opinion though, not gonna lie about it being a dick move if Kenny leaves you on it though.

I get what you mean, him suggesting that we left Kenny aggravated me a little, but he was pointing out that life isn't fair and we're gonna have to do what's best for the group. We can't let someone weigh us down, but in the end Kenny stood up like a badass, so case closed on that one.
Yeah, I understand from that point now. I know that someone had a playthrough where they saved Ben in Crawford, and didn't kill Larry and Kenny didn't go with them. So, I tried it myself and it's true. Kenny didn't want to come with me to save Clementine.
Either way, Luke would have more humanity in that. Even though he didn't have a family to protect like Kenny, he wouldn't just let Lee go by himself to save a little girl who got kidnapped. It isn't about "Oh, you didn't save my family that one time, so I'm not going to help you save Clementine." It's about making sure that asshole doesn't hurt her, considering that she hasn't hurt you.
And even when Kenny was drunk and he was sitting next to Ben, he didn't help look for Clementine. He sat down, and continued to drink.
I dunno, I just don't buy this whole "I'll protect Clem." act that he's pulling when there's times where he didn't give a shit. I'm gonna have to go with Luke. (Partially because I love Luke. A lot.)
EDIT: I noticed that all Kenny cares about is protecting his family, right? (In this case, Sarita and Clementine) But he treats the cabin group like shit, and expects them to think that his opinion is what everyone should go with. I don't like your sarcasm.
Oh come on.
The finale It's not gonna be "Choose Luke Or Kenny" , Jesus Christ, Telltale isn't a crappy studio.
And that's a fucking horrible ending.
So much for respecting peoples opinions..
If i saw this thread last night i would say Kenny, but after some thinking i would pick Luke.
Sure Kenny gets shit done, he knows Clem, bla bla bla, but Kenny is also getting old, that could slow him down.
Luke is more energetic and stuff.
But... sarcasm and caps lock are the best things ever...
Just sit and watch how many dislikes I get right now:
Kenny.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! Today we are gonna play an amazing game - "try to guess who InKennyWeTrust would save"!
Yeah, reading this comment now, I don't think the first part is quite right. I find that both amazing and a bit gross. I don't know how to feel about that.
You'd save Larry, right?
Luke, 100%
I ate it once, you can't imagine how good it is, it doesn't have any ice cream but it's in a cone.
It seems really hard to eat XD
Not really xD
Wait, if its Chocolate Ice-Cream can it be Nick/Luke combo?!
Episode 4 is basically the aftermath of the shit!
I would save Luke no doubt. Kenny's too unhinged and can become a serious threat to Clementine. Luke actually saved Clementine, unlike Kenny. Who got her in more trouble.
These decisions are why i have two walkthroughs of this game.

Or chocolate pizza? XD
I would save Kenny, not cause i'm a big fan of him, just cause i really don't care about Luke that much.
Would there be a time limit for chosing so, beause saving someone you wouldn't have alot of time ?
Either one is good xD as long as its Luke/Nick
For me this is more like choosing between saving Lee or Omid.
Come on we DO like them both but hey I'm definitely going to choose Lee with no doubt.
So it has to be Kenny for me, I don't even need to think about it.
Kenny for me. Forever Kenny. He is my favorite character in TWD ever (Including comics and TV Series) I like Luke and I hope that he don't dies but... Kenny is Kenny.
What's so good about Kenny? XD I mean, no offense, but I just can't completely see it...

Close, but wrong. Try harder, bro.
I don't even think I said something about choosing? Ha.
