I'm not too sure that Bloody Mary is...
I'm not too sure that Bloody Mary is dead.
Think about it. We never see a real, definitive corpse; knowing Telltale, we shouldn't expect someone to be dead if we don't see their corpse. Instead, we see a bunch of glass "corpses". For all we know, those were only parts of her. Reflections, you could say.
I guess it'd be pretty weird for Telltale to bring her back, all things considered, but I still felt a little skepticism after killing the last of the "Bloody Marys". I can definitely see why Telltale might want to save her for the next Season, even if it seems a little weird right now. Thoughts?
EDIT: Here's a poll if you're interested- http://strawpoll.me/2088176

I'm skeptical as well. Considering Bloody Mary made a ton of glass clones of herself, who's to say that the real one wasn't hiding somewhere? I like Bloody Mary as a character, so I hope to see her again if there's a sequel.
Although I agree, it would it seem unusual for her to run away from a fight. In their normal forms, she's more than a match for Bigby.
Debatable, She's very slick, but parts/her clones did run out of the warehouse.
Also she did run away from the butcher lab. she could have easily been called off by the crooked man.
Actually, it doesn't seem that weird to me. She already knows how powerful Bigby is. She knows his story, and she probably knows that she wouldn't be able to handle him while he's in his full wolf form.
She probably doubts the Crooked Man, too. I don't think she'd be the kind of person to stay on a sinking boat, or give up her life for a cause.
So, she still got the fight that she wanted, and she's got a bigger one in the future. Makes sense to me.
I didn't really like her before, but she kind of grew on me in this one, for whatever reason. I wouldn't mind another fight with her.
When Bigby killed the clones they shattered into glass. But the last one left blood all over his mouth so I think Bloody Mary is dead.
I was just thinking about that, and I think that's a very good point, unfortunately.
Yeah, but it also shattered into glass like all the others. For all we know, that could be his own blood. He just bit into glass.
There wasn't any blood when he shattered the clones though. It wasn't until the last one he chomped he got blood on him. I think the final glass shatter was just because that would be how Bloody Mary would go out; in an explosion of glass and blood. It also seemed like the last one was smarter than the clones because she pulled glass out of her head as a weapon.
Yeah, but it could've left a cut deeper than the other clones did, thus causing the blood around bigby's mouth. It's still pretty ambiguous. Telltale could just be trying to throw us off.
EDIT: And on a sidenote, the clone doesn't exactly explode into blood. It turns to smoke like the others; smoke generally symbolizes a trick, or deceit.
Now you just try to get your point across with any means necessary.
It's pretty simple. All clones he chewed on just split into glass. They broke and never came back. He then proceeded to bite one that put lots of blood around his mouth and he even turned back into a human again. That's more than enough proof that the last one he attacked was Mary. Why else would there be blood in the final confrontation? Or do you want to argue that he chewed so much glass that the final one made it bleed?
But let me use your logic of thinking for a moment. I'm pretty sure Bigby has good smelling (kind of like wolverine= and could probably find out which one was the real one. It being so many obviously makes it more difficult, at best he would know that she is around. With this smelling, he probably returned to human form knowing it was the right one he finished off at the end. Even a user that has read the comics can support this saying "His transformations are completely at-will and not because he gets pissed. His sense of smell is strong enough that he can identify owners of blood. With regards to Snow, it's even stronger and can constantly tell where she is and even her moods."
So there you have it. She's dead, beaten, not coming back. Call it what you will.
The shattered glasses made me feel uneasy, because that's the same way that how Prince Brandish killed Bigby.
maybe Marry is still alive ,she taught Brandish how to use the magic of glasses and let him revenge for her...
of course this is just my cranky........ :=(
BLOODY MARY CONFIRMED FOR SEASON TWO If there will be one
I want to see that gif xD
Those are some interesting points you bring up, although I would not say it means for sure that she is dead. I am sure the other Mary's bleed when he was attacking him, and while Bigby may have a good sense of smell, how do we not know that all the clones? Besides, Fabe's can seem to take a beating (Such as the Woodsman) and still survive. Perhaps the glass reconnected in a 'Terminator 2' style fashion once it was safe?
In the end, I think no one can say for sure either way what happened to her. I am of the opinion she probably survived, fleeing when she realized Bigby had out powered her and letting the clones act as a distraction as she escaped. But, each to there own. I suspect it all really depends on whether a S2 happens, if she is needed for said story and whether she is popular enough.
I'm up for that. I like it when people have different opinions.
But no one has really answered this who are of the notion that she survived. Why were there blood? Bigby obviously did bite the right one and CRUSHED her into many glass pieces. Which you may think does not mean much cause all of her clones were glass too, but she was always glass to begin with. The only difference that she is a "magic human". There even comes blood off of Bigby, the woodsman and now Bloody Mary.
The blood is the key. No doubt was it her he bit, and as she was in her "glass form" when crushed and killed she went boom like a piece of glass.
Also idk about you guys but I think i recall in My playthrough, a couple of the clones ran away and escaped the warehouse.
I hope she isn't. I thought she was a really cool villain, especially when she went into her full form, but her "death" felt a bit anti-climactic to me. Yeah, pull that shard of glass out of your head and leap right at him. That sure worked for the other thirty you's who just tried that.
I expected a bit more cleverness out of her fight than a standard mob fight, however cool and creepy her design was.
Yes, you could say that I'm grasping at straws. But look at Kenny's death. You'd have to be grasping at straws to predict his survival, too. Telltale is unpredictable, so we have to consider every possibility. And tell me, does it really seem THAT weird for Telltale to bring her back? It's weird, I get it, but it's definitely something that they'd do.
On a side note, it's obvious that his sense of smell has been nerfed a bit. If he could tell Snow's every location like he could in the comics, he would immediately know that Snow's head at the end of Episode 1 wasn't real.
Why would we be? We never saw him die. We saw Bloody mary get crunshed to a million pieces (with blood added to the mix).
Would it be weird? Very much so when you give a character such a convincing death scene. Kenny was never dead in my opinion as we never saw him die, scream or anything to the sort. In a game like this you dont just let a character run away unseen and then kill them off. It's not really that emotional as all the other TWD deaths (like ben for instance).
To continue on that side not, that ability is something he has in the comics which is set DECADES after the game. He obviously did not have that ability in the game (when he sniffed the perfume was probably when it started).
I agree with you. It's in the character profile(Book of Fables). She is willing to die for the Crooked Man, because of the freedom he affords her by protecting her, and using her as a hit man(something she thoroughly enjoys). This indicates to me she died. otherwise she would have kept on fighting and possibly creating more clones. It's more of a question, what motivation does she have to feign death, and let her boss go down?
Correct. She would do anything for the crooked man, even die.
And again. THE BLOOD. There really is no point in having this discussion, at least for this long. The blood and the fact that Bigby turned back into a human (probably by knowing he got the right one) is enough evidence to her death.
The point is that she was defeated. A Fable popular like her is most likely immortal like Bigby.
I think the last line that bigby thinks to himself before the episode ends kind of rules out her being permanently dead.
they are just hard to kill, not immortal
She's beyond dead.
Fables are EXCEPTIONALLY hard to kill. If you read the comics, some fables have survived worse than Mary, especially seeing as it's hard to tell if any of those were the real Bloody Mary, or if any of those "reflections" got away.
I'm almost 99% sure that she's alive
I'm pretty sure that she's alive. We know that the reflections of her break easily, but Fable's are really hard to kill. So, just chopping onto her body wouldn't really do the trick, would it?
I'm also thinking she's still alive.
EDIT: And apparently even the Fables Wiki is having some poll on whether or not she's dead. This is a pretty big issue apparently. http://fables.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Das_Wunderbar/Bloody_Mary_-_Dead_or_Unknown?
The mere fact that the community is so torn on this is something worth acknolwedging. A lot of people think she's alive, a lot of people think she's dead; that alone should deter most people from completely ruling out the possibility of her still being alive.
When you beat the game and it says the fates and what you did to all the characters including whether they live or died
Guess who wasn't on that list at all. BLOODY MARY
I think that confirms it as Unknown

When Bigby kills them, the clones have blood too...
people might not see this on the second page so ill put this here also.
"When you beat the game and it says the fates and what you did to all the characters including whether they live or died

I thought that was only for characters where you had to decide their fate, or characters with a lot of decisions revolved around them. They didn't include Vivian, did they?
well I am going to do another play through tomorrow to confirm.
But with the ending you can see why I was specifically looking for bloody mary on that page.
But people that only had 1 choice from what I remember are on that list but not whats his name that died in episode 2
So you might be right about it only containing people that had huge choices but wouldn't mary be a big thing to include on that as she is a pretty big part of the story at the end?
Damn now my head hurts
Maybe if you go to pull her ribbon off, it says something about her? Not entirely sure, to be honest.
Either way, I don't think it'll have anything about Mary simply because there aren't any big decisions regarding her.
I'll just kill her again then. Rip her head off, just like I did to the Crooked Man.
Guys remember when alot of them ran? And they tried to trick us when supposedly the real one went up in that machine? I'd say 50/50
I think she just got unlucky at the end.
There were plenty of clones behind Bigby while he was huffing and puffing, but it seems gambled and aimed it at the right way.
The last apparition was the only one that bled that much.
It could also be that Bigby was able to identify her because if you notice, that one Mary is the only one that makes a scared face when Bigby began chagin' up his wind. Like, the rest were souless husks, and she seemed to be the only one expressing fear.
if you eat sharp glass you will bleed..
the clones were made of both flesh and glass note,
the clones or reflections of her mostly got smashed but the thing about the one 'bleeding' being the real mary, has one issue, if the real mary was dead how does a clone still exist with out the original ?
like the magic mirror in the business office mary could be rebuilt.. for her shards..
