It's their distinctive style and if they started doing that, they would be more like any other generic game. Its nice to play a game that is different. I would be disappointed if they changed their style. People complain also that its not a real game because of the point and click and word based decisions. To me, that's another stylistic choice. I like it the way it is.
I'm pretty sure realistic graphics would tone the game down. The characters would definitely not look or feel the same as they do now. From a… more graphic perspective if you really wanted to see the game in a real life manner, the characters would look very different from what they do now. I also believe the cartoony look of the game makes Clementine cuter. Can't imagine a reality concept Clementine. Of course that's just one character. Anyway nah the comic style works out great for this.
Pretty sure we've all seen this picture floating around the forums but that is sort of what clementine would look like with reality concept art. I personally dislike :O
This game is based off the comic book graphic art style. They aren't going to modify it because you want them to, that's just absurd. It defeats the purpose of the game's art style.
No, the game is really grapich and shows alot of child violence. Games that looks more realistic gets tons of flame for this. The only reaso… moren people are not complaining about the extreme amounts of violence towards children compared to other games is that it has a cartoony and soft art-style. If you look at realistic games there are nearly no children, and if there are children you can't hurt them. If you have played Modern Warfare 3 they showed a kid get blown up and that caused controversy.
Interesting visual aesthetic trumps hyper realistic graphic power houses ANY DAY. It's unique visual styles that got me into otherwise lackluster games like XIII, Kane and Lynch 2, The Darkness 2, and Wet. And I find those games that are already superb even more incredible because of their presentation. Games like Max Payne, Mirrors Edge, and Minecraft are some truly outstanding gems because the aesthetic adds something really great to an already awesome gaming experience.

Uh.... No, I'm using an iPad 3, sometimes it's pretty lag and I DON'T WANT TO MAKE IT LAGGER
The realistic graphics. TWD and TWAU gained their atmospheres through many elements including the comic-like graphics.
I'm sorry but I just started laughing when I saw all the dislikes
Ewww Clem doesn't look as cute![D: D:](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/anguished.png)

cough The Last of Us cough
A 15 year old girl is not a child. And Sarah we just saw some blod and she died, nothing more.
I guess. I still don't see how graphics matter with whether or not it causes controversy.
I don't really care... as long as the characters aren't moving squares, I think the graphics are just fine.
I love this game, realistic or comic graphics.
But if the graphics were realistic, more people would have tried it.
I think the graphics fit the game perfectly.
wat
I don't think so, I like the comical style of the game, it makes it different and it works!
No thank you. Perfectly satisfied with the comic style the game series has.
