[POLL] Who do you think we spoke with in the end?

  • I think we spoke to Faith in the end...It certainly lead us in that direction. I decided to follow her BTW. Does that mean there is a season 2? Or will the mystery be solved if we chose differently?

  • I think we spoke with Nerissa. Besides the best way to find out is to use the mirror, the spell is gone.

  • Faith for sure it just adds up to well with her story she disguised her self to escape her father so it's something she's use to doing. And I honestly don't think it would be has much of an impact if it was Nerissa.

  • Maybe those that followed her get a season 2 and those that stayed behind don't. lol :P

  • Is not Faith or Nerissa we spoke to at the end, it's Dio!

  • Nerissa goes to Bigby's office to make sure he's staying on the right track, makes it clear she cannot talk about things directly but wants to give hints on how to solve the case.

Nerissa at the end tells us that Faith died and that night she moved the head.

I believe that when we first meet Faith, we are meeting Nerissa and Faith is already dead. She makes a lot of obvious hints (in hindsight) such as "Do you like my ribbon?" Then later the ribbon is found in the mouth.

I think it is fairly obvious that Nerissa was dressed as Faith and what the audience is supposed to be wondering about is simply this:

Because Vivian needed to be dead for them to ever be safe from their own ribbon curse, did Nerissa tell Georgie about the plan to run away to mastermind the entire murder OR did she honestly make a mistake in telling Georgie and then glamoured as Faith to bring Bigby into it?

Of course someone made a point that if Faith were already dead, the mirror should have been able to locate the girl since her ribbon spell was no longer in effect. Still, Vivian's ribbon spell might have been a greater affect than over Viv's actions, but to all subservient ribbons (noted by their dispelling upon Vivian's death).

I find it odd that neither the two remaining known ribbon girls remove their own ribbon after Vivian's death.

  • Nerissa was glamoured as Faith in the beginning. We never actually met Faith so that means we were indeed talking to Nerissa at the end.

  • YOU SIR, JUST HELPED ME SOLVE A CASE AND GAVE ME AN ASPIRINE TO MY HEADACHE.

    THANK YOU

  • Did you try to remove it? I didn't, was wondering...

  • I got the impression I was actually speaking with Faith.

  • She won't let you (either time) so no, but I have tried.

Did you try to remove it? I didn't, was wondering...

  • I really don't know. Faith? Nerissa? I've heard compelling arguments from both sides. Or rather, the evidence could really support either side.

  • Welcome.

YOU SIR, JUST HELPED ME SOLVE A CASE AND GAVE ME AN ASPIRINE TO MY HEADACHE. THANK YOU

  • Nerissa.

We never met Faith. She was glamoured as Faith in Episode 1 to keep Faith's appointment with The Huntsman by Georgie so that no one would notice she was dead OR to get who Georgie might have thought was going to be there (Lilly) so that she could be "dealt" with as well (which would make sense given that Nerissa mentions trying to warn Lilly (which could work if thats what she was going to do instead of bring Lilly in). Meeting Bigsby by chance after the meeting is what sets the plot in motion.

It is also possible that upon Nerissa's return from "doing Faith's appointment/appearance", thats when the real Faith was killed.

Its just easier if its Nerissa and not Faith (especially since we also know that the black magic glamours are prone to sudden failures).

  • I believe we were talking to Nerissa. There was a bit of glamour involved in the entire thing, but obviously Faith's head would have turned back into Nerissa if that was indeed Nerissa being Faith, maybe meaning that was the original faith's head, and before hand it was a glamoured Nerissa-Faith, therefore it would have to be Nerissa in the end, since Faith is dead. I don't think there's a way I can explain without sounding like a nutcase.

  • The poll is super tight!

    .

  • Let's stop and think for a second on this whole Nerissa/Faith theory.

Both of those girls have different personalities. I'm not even sure if Nerissa could pull off having to pretend to be Faith, knowing the risk if she were to get caught. She knew the risk of The Crooked Man finding out about what she and her friends were planning, and look what happened there. Also, if Nerissa was at Woody's apartment, and Faith was at the club during that time, then Nerissa would still have a black eye and bruises from the fight. She even had a a cut on her lip, so there's no way that could've been covered up. Remember the scuffle between Bigby and Beast? The claw marks on Beast's face took more than a day for them to go away. So, we could've all noticed that back in episode 2.

So, I think that Faith was really Faith in the beginning, and when she left to drop off the money she received and the moment she arrived back to the club, Georgie called her out on their plan and had pulled her ribbon in front of Nerissa. And while Bigby was in his apartment, Nerissa could've placed Faith's head right at the front door during the time he was trying to get some rest in his chair and bolted before Snow caught her.

There are problems with both theories though... for example, if it's Faith, how did she manage to get Nerissa glamoured and killed pretending to be her? And, if it's Nerissa, why was she even glamoured as Faith in the first place? I would understand it if maybe she was one the who called Bigby but it wasn't her, it was Toad!

  • I did believe it was Nerissa too, but you can't ignore the fact that Faith is a known "disguiser". Nerissa/The little mermaid has no speical powers what so ever that's actually used. WIth all this glamouer shit going on, the even more logical solution other than Nerissa being Faith is actually Faith being Nerissa because of her back story and abilities.

  • There is no proof to this so stop typing it like it is.

  • Faith actually has one more evidence that changes things around quite quickly. Faith is a known "disguiser" from her backstory. She probably used her skills again in this game.

I really don't know. Faith? Nerissa? I've heard compelling arguments from both sides. Or rather, the evidence could really support either side.

  • Regarding the head and the body turning back, we never heard back from Swineheart about the body. He only said he wanted to do more tests (without giving answers as to how his tests went) and we never hear from him, or about the body anymore. Swineheart could have been in on the thing and disposed of the body when the glamour stopped working on Nerissas body.

Faith. I think that it really was Faith we met at the beginning, and she was glamoured as Nerissa for the rest of the game. Not sure why Nerissa was glamoured as Faith when she died, though.

Faith, Lily, Nerissa. Big plot to escape the Crooked Man.

Faith stole the photos incriminating Crane in his sexual acts with a glamoured Lily. The Tweedle Dee's files confirm this.
"Nerissa" states ratted them out, at some point, and Georgie was ordered to kill them.

At this point Faith or Nerissa was killed, and the survivor witnessed it. And two scenarios could've happened.
Faith and Nerissa switched shifts like the girls were prone to do, and Georgie killed a glamoured Nerissa instead of Faith like he was supposed to. So Faith kept on her Nerissa glamour so she wouldn't be killed, and delivered the head to the Apartments, instigating the whole thing.
Although this theory assumes Faith and Nerissa glamoured as one another at some point, we're not sure of the timing of this Glamour. They could've glamoured before or after Bigby beat up the Woodsman. And a good glamour could've hidden wounds. Faith could've also been looking for the Sheriff's help before glamour-switching happened.

Second scenario, Nerissa watched her friend die, and set-up a scenario where she intentionally aggravated a drunk Woodsman, trying to get the Sheriff to her rescue. She hinted at major things to him that would help and pointed him in the right direction.

Although the mirror couldn't find Faith's body, and there's also the fact Swineheart was still doing tests on the body. It's open to interpretation at this point and is a sequel hook.

I will say though, it's a tad more complicated but I like the idea of Faith switching out with Nerissa, whenever it happened. Nerissa spills the beans, they glamour as each other, and Nerissa is killed under the assumption she's Faith. And Faith does whatever she can to avenge her friend who was only trying to protect her and died unjustly. All while wearing her face for days or weeks on end.

(And someone left those photos in that Hotel Room in the end. Don't recall how that happened, and you'd think someone trying to cover up for the Crooked Man would take those photos. )

  • I really like that what you said.
I have little question for you because i see you think just like me.
Do you think that when in episode 1, Faith is going to go away she salute with her fingers and saying "See you around...Wolf" have any connection with Bloody mary? Because she did say and do the same think in one of episodes. I wondering if its kind of clue or just coincidence?

Do you remember the fight between Bigsby and The Woodsman? They're both pretty much healed up by the end of the episode, which was a significantly less amount of time.

While it IS possible for it to for this scenario to have happened (and prior to her last sentence from Nerissa, IS what I assumed happened), the implications of the last sentence is just too strong for it to occur.

  • The answer for the Nerissa side of that argument isnt that complex. Georgie sent Nerissa to go finish Faiths appointments so that no one would ask any questions about her disappearance...if they noticed to begin with.

Meeting Bigsby was a happy accident in either case that actually put the idea of the plan into motion.

  • All this Faith is Nerissa thing is becoming more and more like conspiracy theories. Annnd...alot of "well proven" theories here on the forums end up totally wrong.

It's Faith, she's the Donkeyskin, a master of trickery through disguises for escaping kingdoms.

Only she's Mermaidskin now, and the kingdom is Crookie's Illegal Empire :v

It's kinda morbid, actually. In her original tale, she had to use the skin of a prized donkey in order to escape the kingdom.
And now she's wearing the skin of a prized friend in order to escape a different kingdom.

" Once again she was frightened and once again her godmother came to her assistance. "Pretend," she said, "to give in to the king. Promise him anything he wishes, but, at the same time, prepare to escape to some far country. "

I think Faith had been planning her escape for a long time. In the epilogue she's holding a travel bag right? She's going to flee to a distant place now. Similar to her original fable.

    I think it was Faith.
