Did everybody in the camp forget Nick's mom exists.

As I remember it, Pete said he ''just lost a sister''. Why isn't anybody refrencing her? Carver never asks about if she was ever at the Cabin. Reggie doesn't ask what happened to his mother, Nobody says anything. And Luke doesn't even act like he lost his best friend of his, if you don't save Nick. What the hell is going on here?

    Its thought that Luke was told off screen about nick and used his "easy ability to move on" to cover his feelings, and it is also assumed that Nicks mom died before Lukes group made it to Carvers camp

    Maybe Luke bottles his feelings up like every other man, and doesn't let anyone see him cry.

    There could have been off-screen moments, or of course, it could just be poor writing.

    The ZA has been going on for over 2 years as of Season Two, it's more than possible that Nick's mother died before they met Carver's group. Especially with how large of a timeframe there is.

    I've always assumed that Nick's mom died during the time they were at Carver's camp or maybe even before that, hence why Carver doesn't ask about her when he comes to the cabin.

    As for the lack of reaction from Luke if Nick died... well Nick's (possibly zombified) corpse was right there for him to see after Carver & co. took everyone. He must have reacted then and there, but we didn't see it because we're following Clem's POV. And also Luke's ability to "keep going."

    I assume that if you lost a loved one you would think about it a lot making it seem like just yesterday they were alive and well

    Yeah,it did mention that Luke stayed behind and knew that everything was going on, so i wouldn't be suprised if he saw Nick die, or if he saw Nicks corpse after or possibly zombie Nick

    Just like Bonnie mentioned, walkers/herds has come through before, maybe Nick's mom died in Carver's camp?

    it was mentioned that they took in a bite victim and they ended up turning and they killed Nicks mom

    Also, Reggie didn't ask where Luke was when he asked where Pete and possibly Nick were.

    I'd assume that she died IN the camp, or PRIOR to the camp.
