i replayed episode 1 today and it is actually better than episode 5 it has better chase sequence better fights better choices and chilling eerie atmosphere ... i really like episode 5 but if it was a serial killer it could have been better

To be honest, I think they are pretty equal! A great episode to start the story and a great end to the season as well!
Well i prefer the ep5 chase scene, i loved seeing full wolf bigby, intense fights and sad deaths. But thats just my opinion

Well, of course it has an edge... it is episode 1 and needs to catch you. Ep 5 cannot have an edge because it is the end of the story. In terms of choices, Ep 5 has a good deal of them with the final judgement, which is quite dependent on what you did in previous episodes...

Well Episode 1 was better. It was longer the atmosphere was better and it was more exciting. Episode 2 was the lamest episode from telltale in my opinion. The ending of Episode 3 was good again and ep4 was...yeah it was not bad. Episode 5 was really full of action and really cool, but short. Wolf among us failed a little with the length of the episode and some characters. Whats making me angry is that some characters are really stupid. They bitching no matter what I do
I agree. The original proposed plot points of a serial killer, Bluebeard trying to rule the Business Office, Beauty working for Georgie etc etc were far more superior than the cliché bad businessman villain who isn't even introduced until an off-hand comment occurs in episode 2. Largely, I believe to re-writes. I still loved this season, but I do feel saddened when replaying episode 1, watching the scrapped 'Next time' sequences, and theorising on the what-if's...
I spent the night before the release of the 5th episode replaying episodes 1-4, so they were all fresh in my mind. I agree with you, episode one is definitely the best. I really like the other episodes and thought the finale was great, but the first episode was pretty much flawless.
I fucking LOVED episode 1. But I would choose between episode 3 and 5. Both are absolutely brilliant.

I think of each episode as a worthy piece of a great whole. Each episode did what it was supposed to do to bring the story together. And I'm not sure what making the killer into a serial killer would bring to the story. Eventually he would get caught and punished just like very one involved in ep 5.
That's the problem with fans knowing too much about the behind the scenes. You're bemoaning what could have been , obviously scrapped for a reason, instead of appreciating the game as it is without that background info.

I don't like to pick favorites. I'm not good at lists. I find something to like in all of them.

I still think episode 1 was the best of the series, but episode 5 at least cleared up some of the gaping plot holes the story had after telltale rewrote the game.
I liked episode 1 just a bit more, it had a lot of content and interaction with other characters, I really loved episode 5 as well a lot of the decisions were quite hard to make! but episode 1 with that action filled opening and that twist ending gets a slight edge over episode 5 for me. But it's a great series as a whole. I replayed all the episodes from start to finish before episode 5 and I found myself enjoying it a lot! even the 2nd and 4th episodes as well which I didn't like very much initially, I think maybe the length of the episodes got to me because of the long wait but it really is a great season!
here is my oppinion.i think that episodes 1 and 5 are best.the other 3 fell very rushed and bland with the following order:2,3 and the worst number 4.
I agree. Not to say Episode 5 was bad, but the way the story was told in Episode 1 was with out a doubt the best of all 5. I felt the most connected with the game during Episode 1.
