Kenny. Without a hesitation. He has been there for everything, I trust him more than anybody I've met in the game. He may have his quirks, but when push comes to shove Kenny has always been there and I have no reason to think it will ever be otherwise. He is my favorite character outside of Lee and Clem, and when you become a close person to him he will never give up on you no matter what happens.
How can I not save the man who got his orbital crushed for my sake.
But in all seriousness well it would be tough, from a survivor's point of view Luke would be a better choice, and besides all that I've taken a huge liking to Luke anyway. I had trouble with deciding who to sit next to so I would have a hell of a lot more difficulty in deciding who gets to live.
I'm still leaning towards Kenny at the moment as he considers Clementine almost family at this point and we all know he'd do more than any man could to protect his family.
Right back at'cha and no problem, some might say I'm a pretty friendly guy ;3
Life isn't fair, I agree but I'm a very family oriented person and I consider Kenny family. I don't care if its in the groups interests to leave Kenny behind, I'll carry that ol' bastard outta there on my back if I have to. It was a logical approach to the situation, there was no guarantee that Kenny would get back up (Thank God he did) but we couldn't just give up hope. But like I said, I'd do the same if I was in Luke's shoes and probably go through with it also.
I can see how people are having doubts about Kenny actually wanting to protecting Clem. I honestly think in my playthrough the act is genuine because Kenny never walked out on me before and I never walked out on him. However in other playthroughs where Kenny and Lee didn't get along and he didn't come to help Clem I'm questioning it as to maybe he might see her as Duck (Like you said) or possibly trying to make amends to all the shit he did to Lee/Clem.
Luke has more humanity, I can get behind that. He probably would help me out even if I was a dick to him (hopefully this is the case because I can't say I've been the nicest to him ;-;). Luke seems to have a more leveled head, much more than me and Kenny at least. We are like hotheaded idiot #1 and #2.
Part about Kenny being drunk. Eh, I can't really blame him for that I mean we've all done stupid things when we are drunk. **REALLY **stupid things in my case. Damn my Saturday night drinking fest ...
I'm still sticking with Kenny, I haven't warmed up to Luke, like, at all. I hope I can learn more about him and get to know his character better THEN I can open myself up and think about trusting him some more. But I have to hand it to him, he's fuckin' cute
Love the friendlyness by the way.
I get what you mean, him suggesting that we left Kenny aggravated me a little, but he was pointing out … morethat life isn't fair and we're gonna have to do what's best for the group. We can't let someone weigh us down, but in the end Kenny stood up like a badass, so case closed on that one.
Yeah, I understand from that point now. I know that someone had a playthrough where they saved Ben in Crawford, and didn't kill Larry and Kenny didn't go with them. So, I tried it myself and it's true. Kenny didn't want to come with me to save Clementine.
Either way, Luke would have more humanity in that. Even though he didn't have a family to protect like Kenny, he wouldn't just let Lee go by himself to save a little girl who got kidnapped. It isn't about "Oh, you didn't save my family that one time, so I'm not going to help you save Clementine." It's about making sure that asshole doesn't hurt her, considering that s… [view original content]

If we get a choice like this, I sincerely hope there's a timer. I'd probably just let it run out. I strongly dislike Kenny returning the way he did and really wish he had died in that alley/building. Season 1 Kenny was an awesome character. I'd like to remember him that way, but the season 2 treatment has been unkind to him in my opinion. Luke? Who really cares? It's not like he's actually done anything beyond cause trouble.
You want to give me a tough choice for season 2? Well, you played that card already TTG. Pete is already dead, and Nick is determinant. I have 0 incentive to care about what happens to whom at this point (beyond Clem)... Now I really do want to cry.
I don't think Kenny actually rages at Clementine at all so far in season 2. Surprising since he does it to everyone else. Nonetheless, I agree that he does have a bad side there. Though Kenny still deserves some credit in my eyes. He's done his best so far to protect Clementine, even taken a pretty severe beating for her then got right back up. Not to say Luke doesn't deserve credit too, but I choose Kenny over Luke.
Yeah, reading this comment now, I don't think the first part is quite right. I agree Kenny and Luke similarly trust her to accomplish things… more, but I still think there's a disparity in how much Luke and Kenny allow her to have her own mind. Kenny respects her opinion and listens to her more than he will others true, but that's still only so far, and he can still respond fairly harshly when someone doesn't want to go along with him, even Clem. Luke doesn't seem as likely to read her the riot act for not agreeing with him.
Kenny's plans are nearly always good ones, but they are rarely completely thought out. Basically, he just says "Okay this is a good idea so instead of thinking some more on it first lets just do this then wing it". He's not stupid, he just rushes his plans.
He has anger issues, if you disagree with him he will gladly get into an argument with you and he doesn't like seeing the other side of things. But if you show him respect and side with him, he is a pretty damn good teammate, possibly the best. That's just with Lee. He protects Clementine no matter what in season 2.
Larry isn't much of an ally considering he tried to kill Lee then threatened his life. Lee is the main character and Larry is most certainly not HIS ally.
Lets say in season 1 you side with Kenny as Lee a lot. At the st john farm Kenny helps you fight Danny. In episode 3 Kenny helps lift the door off you when zombies push it over onto you. He had the idea to even get the RV ready which is literally the only reason anyone in the group lived, and no one even wanted to come with him until there were zombies all around. If that isn't him being smart, I guess he got lucky. Real lucky. Those are just some of the good ones and that's a lot more than you can say for a lot of other characters.
Now he seems like he might be a little bit mentally unstable but he has been completely protective of Clementine so far, willing to do anything for her and trusting her like an equal. I think he deserves at least a little bit of credit. He's a dick to EVERYONE else still but not Clementine.
"The "new" Kenny. You've been knowing him since day one. He's a tough guy, with a lot of experience; he's smart and can become really danger… moreous if he wants to protect you. And you are sure he will. BUT his personality changed... a lot. Will he stay mentally stable?"
Uhh, what Kenny are we talking about, Kenny has never been shown to be smart and has only really been shown to be dangerous to himself and his allies. What person has he ever been a danger to? Well, looking through the people he confronted, Larry (an ally), Andy St-John (he got shot and lay on the ground while Lee fought Andy), Vernon's group (Kenny got beat up) and finally Carver's group, where actually managed to kill an enemy.
And really, the only personality change hes gained is that he now tries to laugh and joke during lighter moments, otherwise hes the same
Luke: Younger, healthier, less emotional baggage, nice guy. I'll be saving him if it comes to that. I like Kenny but he not dependable, I haven't forgotten when he stood back and did nothing when Lee got attacked by walkers in the pharmacy in Episode 3 (in my playthrough).
Everyone seems dead set on it meaning Kenny or Luke. What if it was Nick or Luke? Nick could be the ice cream. Context clues; Kenny calls him "Vanilla Ice". So here is what i'm thinking, for the players who didnt save Nick wouldnt get this choice and Luke would carry on. If you did save Nick then you would get the choice "Pizza or Ice cream?". If you choose Nick im guessing Luke would die and then Nick takes his spot (So basically it would replace all the upcoming scenes that involve Luke with Nick). I think that would be incredibly awesome and a clever twist because we all know determinant characters eventually die soon. So to give the players the chance to prevent it would be shocking.
Kenny is too rash and doesn't think things through, but my Clementine feels a sort of obligation to him for being by Lee's side for so long.
Luke is too careful and has too little experience, and my Clementine doesn't like the way he keeps pushing himself onto her as this protective brother figure when she's experienced more than enough shit to KNOW what's best for her.
So, basically, screw that choice. Can I just save Nick instead?
(Though if it really came down to it, I'd choose Kenny in a heartbeat.)
To be fair, it could be argued that that move was unnecessary, depending on whether you believe that Carver would have been just as hard on Clementine as he was on Kenny.
I've seen some people saying they wouldn't save Kenny now because of his eye injury.
That seems so cold... He did get that injury because he was protecting Clem, you know.
To be fair, it could be argued that that move was unnecessary, depending on whether you believe that Carver would have been just as hard on Clementine as he was on Kenny.
I would love this. I would also hate it because it would be harder for me to choose. Kenny VS Luke - I'm Team Luke til the end. (Whilst nice to have a familiar face back, I still think Kenny should have stayed dead. Whilst it is nice to have a familiar face back, I'm still waiting to know how he got out alive and I honestly don't seem him living much longer.) Christa VS Kenny. I'm Team Christa (for Omid!) Christa VS Luke though.... I don't know who I'd choose. Luke's been good to Clem but Christa and Clem have been together longer and have history.
Unless something big changes with both of them like kenny going mad and luke turning into zombie slayer and growing some gonads, then its kenny everytime, no question, would be the easiest choice in both series so far...
BUT knowing telltale before such a decision things will change...
Of course he does. He's in the midst of people who hate his guts and knows that he's done for if he lets her get the better of him.
I don't doubt that he would have beaten her senseless...but I don't think that he would have killed her or injured her as seriously as Kenny. At least not enough to leave permanent damage.
(God, I can't believe I'm defending CARVER. Ugh, son of a bitch.)
He does shoot Clem with a freakin' assault rifle without a second thought if she doesn't jump at him at the end of EP3.
I do think he wouldn't have any problems with beating the crap out of her.

Kenny he is the best if he dies i stop buying walking dead and dont play it anymore
That's kind of an overreaction, isn't it?

Nothing beats Kawaii-Ken though \o\
can we all agree that Luke looks kinda retarded in this picture?
Hahahahah!! Agreed!
His expression was ruined when I highlighted the contours. The original was much better!
I'm really tired right now, so I can't counter that because there's nothing to be countered.
Other than...
KAWAII-LUKE FTW.
Don't you mean vanilla?

Nah it isnt, kenny is the only reason i play tbh..
I hate how people ONLY thinks betwen Luke and Kenny. It would be a twist if is NOT them
That's not a very good reason to play a game to be honest.
I'd save Lukeny
I get the feeling that you were gonna say "I love Luke and Kenny both, but I will always pick clem "
maybe in episode 5 we will just choose which to eat an ice-cream or a pizza so simple guys
call 911 if it bothers you
We've bonded with him a lot throughout Lee and Clementine's tribulations. He is our friend.
I wanna say Kenny, but my heart is telling me that Luke would be a better guardian for Clementine....
I DON'T KNOW! Telltale, don't make me choose!

who ever downvoted me get cancer
What if the ice cream and pizza choice was Christa or Luke? I mean. Kenny or Luke is too expecting.
What if Clem is allergic to dairy? She can't have either!

If that was a joke, it would make no sense at all.
I can't, I can't make that decision T_T I'll just shut down the game if it comes to that
Well who's the pizza? Who's the ice cream? Goddamn it, I'm confused.
Of course he does. He's in the midst of people who hate his guts and knows that he's done for if he lets her get the better of him.
