What if Molly appearance in ep 4 or 5 in The Walking Dead Season 2 and clem was very happy to see her again and hug her and Kenny was there and molly held the gun. Then nick comes up quietly behind those bushes holding an rifle, he thought she's going rob his friends, so he shoot her head and the bullet went through the brain.
