reggie the biggest hurt so far?
when we first meet reggie and I think Rebecca asks him about his missing arm, he goes on to explain that he got chomped and the guys at carvers camp amputated his arm fast saving his life....
when I heard this I felt sick!!!! we could have saved lee if we had amputated quicker! but we left it till we got the sewer base 
lee could still be with us guys

I don't think so, i think Reggie was lying. I think carver chopped his arm off as punishment.
Where the hell did you get that idea? Don't you think that if Carver did that to Reggie, he would be more scared of him rather than embracing?
Even if Reggie was lying, amputating does work so the guys point is still relevant either way.
Reggie was such a wack character to be honest. I remember in an interview the voice of Reggie was saying how hes like the Carly of Season 2 Episode 3 when he was nothing like Carly.. not even close. I did feel bad when carver killed him but so far Pete has been the biggest hurt so far.
Hasn't worked for a character yet, so i'm not holding my breath for Sarita.
It worked in the comics, and the game is in the same world as the comics, so yes, it does work, Lee just didn't do it in time.
P.S when I say "reggie the biggest hurt so far" im not so much speaking of the hurt of loosing reggie, more so the info he gives us on amputation and the fact that lee did have a chance if we had amputated in the street or at least in the house/Garage...

It pisses me off a bit with how Lee spent more time over the shock of being bitten, than doing something for it in the first place. But I think chopping his arm off wouldn't exactly be his first thoughts. The idea of cutting Lee's arm off was when either Christa, Kenny or Ben think it's the right thing to do while you're passed out, otherwise it wouldn't have happened
Yea but when we come up with the idea of amputation it was a wild card, no one there at that time knew if amputation worked it was a long shot...
But when we here from reggie that basically amputate quickly and survival is possible you carnt help but look back (with hindsight) and feel a sinking feeling that lee could have been saved if we acted quicker..

I love the theories on this forum.
I've already watched/read the comics and TV show so I already knew it was possible. However, I can imagine what Clem must have felt knowing that it was possible.
We sort of knew this all along, but Reggie confirmed it. Still, I get it. Lee acted instinctively by going after Clementine, only remembering his own well-being after it was too late. Anyway, the whole limb cutting thing can go either way. You can die anyway even if you do it right then.
Nice, I haven't thought about it in that way. I guess we'll never know though, but Reggie does seem like he was being honest. Though, he could have just been lying because he saw a little girl in the group.
but no one cares about the show when we are arguing about the game
but seriously using the comics would be a stronger arguing point since they are in the same universe
Watch the show, Hershel hets bitten and they save him by aputating his leg.
go look up the comic version of dale they chopped his leg off when he got bitten and he still lived
It's not going to work on Sarita because if you do it with a blade that has walker blood on it then it won't work. But it has worked a few times in the comics and show
Sarita might survive the amputation, but her arm would get a normal infection.

Oh i know but we also know it worked for Pete's cousin :0 maybe it works for Sarita, or maybe she dies cos all the blood she lost :l from comics, well i don't remember if there's a bite survivor.
Well it works in both the show and the comics, so why wouldn't it work in the game?
Well we can't be too sure and has anyone else noticed how fast they seem to clean their weapons after killing walkers and then using those weapons to cut bites off? They've only done that a couple of times though.
