Animal Encounters
This is sort of one of those "would it be cool" type of suggestions, since you spend a considerable amount of time in the forest wouldn't it be a cool action scene if Clem and pals were evading or escaping from a pack of wolves or a giant bear, I'm mostly getting this idea from a segment in a horror game called Condemned 2 Bloodshot where you're in the wilderness, you come across this large warehouse or shed and you see tons of dead bodies and you soon encounter a giant feral bear and you have to escape from it, I think an encounter with a bear or pack of wolves or maybe one wolf would be a cool action scene for S2 or potentially later seasons, what do you guys think?

Wolves don't tend to really attack people. The whole "More scared of you" thing.
Bears only attack people of provoked or startled. I'd like some sort of animal attack, but it couldn't be something too big. It'd have to be a snake, or another feral dog in the woods like Sam. Maybe a wild boar, although it's unlikely.
What if Clementine finds a Horse?
Damn....you really can't trust anyone in the apocalypse.
Now that you said that... Anyone here reads the comic? I'd like to know if Rick finds any animals or if they can become walkers.
Edit: Thanks for replying guys! And thanks for the information too.
So far all the animals in The Walking Dead Universe have died or gone on vacation
Strange, how can so many animals just "being on vacation"? Do you think Kirkman one day will make some animal walker or explore more the animals?
Maybe we will encounter zombie animals, but so far the only thing that happens to animals is that they become a meal for the Survivors or the Walkers... who knows maybe animals don't carry the disease? or maybe zombie hamsters will appear ;3
Nope, Robert Kirkman said no zombie animals. I would assume that the animals are either in hiding or are just dead.
Clementine she's not...like that...
Mountain Lions attack people I have seen one out stalking, out hunting a few years back. They will kill people.
In reality the animals would have killed all the Walkers
Most animals only kill people if they feel threatened, you are in their territory or they are starving
I don't trust anything with teeth bigger than mine.
You would be surprised by how loyal and compassionate even the most dangerous animals could be![:p :p](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/tongue.png)
a wild animal will always be a wild animal. I'm good with a dog.
Oh, man, Condemned was such a good series. Ahem, back to the point - considering it's Clem we're talking about here, during the action sequence she'll probably end up riding the bear like a true cowgirl.
Too far South for bears, and wolves don't really attack people very much. Rarely a lone kid would be attacked, but in groups that never happens.
Actually reminds me, a funny thing was our whole town got a phone call because there was a bear in town. Yes... I'm from the boonies...

Well the same goes for a human![:p :p](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/tongue.png)
From my experience black bears aren't as aggressive as other animals. Now a wild boar, better start running if it gets too close.
Zombie "virus": only humans are infected. For whatever reason, the brain stem remains active with access to brain motor functions or whatever. When people get "bitten", they just get infected with all the nasty shit that a bite can carry, and when they die, they die of the original, normal bodily infection, not related to a spreading of a disease. Animals don't have this. When they die, they're dead for good, else there would be a mild constant risk of also encountering slow-moving prey animals that have been zombified. There is none of this, no talk of this, only that it's specifically a people problem.
The only animals we're likely to see are fast prey animals, like deer, maybe a few fast predators, maybe some animals that can mask their own scent(like frogs). Only living ones, that is. Walking Dead TV series season 1 episode 1 has a horse in it. Some 1-2 episodes in season 1 somewhere have frogs. Season 2 has a deer. Season 4 has a rabbits, which apparently can be caught by zombies, but their ability to reproduce like...rabbits...seems to prevent the Zombie Man from keeping them down.
True dat. Here's a scene from a really good Korean movie Welcome to Dongmakgol - during the Korean War, some northern soldiers and southern soldiers end up meeting in a mountain village where people don't even know there is a war. It's a comedy, but it gets pretty emotional. But, yeah, don't mess with boars. Especially computer generated ones.

Will there ever be a zombified animal in TWD? A pack of zombie wolves or a giant bear attacking Clem's group in the snow country would be interesting.
Sometimes you just want to feel like Rambo, and Piggy needs to die.
And then proceeded to die from zombies.
