Just minute ago im just Searching some Information about "amid the Ruins" and here's what i got...
A recent report detailed a major character may meet an untimely death in "Amid the Ruins." This is not uncommon for "The Walking Dead," as a major part of the game involves on-the-fly decision making, that usually spares the life on one character and sacrifices the other.

What if it's Gareth from the comics they meet? There's only been three villians in the comics I know of and that's Negan, Gareth, and the hunter guy that rick killed. Magna is the new villian in the current comics below Negan. So yea it has to be either Negan, Gareth, or the hunter guy.

400 Days is like the only episode without anything big going on. Long Road Ahead has the most shock value out of any episode on the series thus far, I wonder if any episode can surpass it.
